After about an hour, they arrived at William’s house.

It was an ancient Gothic building. Quite magnificent, like the palace.

When William and Julia walked into the house, maids immediately walked to them to help them change their coat and shoes.

After Edie moved into William’s house, she was treated quite well.

On the third day, William didn’t show up. Neither did Stuart. Edie started wondering if anyone know that she was taken to such a horrible place.

She wondered at the door. Kenley showed up as usual and stopped her, "Please, go back, Mrs. Yates."

"I need to visit William," she said in an indifferent voice.

"I would tell him. Please go back now," Kenley said seriously.

"Okay, I appreciate it."

Then she returned back. When he walked back to the room, unexpectedly, she heard Cecil roaring inside the room, "Get the hell out. You are all bad."

"Shit. You dare to bite me."

Julia took the strap out and was about to beat him. She didn’t expect Edie to run to Cecil and dragged him into his arms immediately.

The whip fell on the mirror. The mirror was broken into pieces.

"What the hell are you doing?" Edie questioned her in a cold voice.

Julia stared at Cecil and said, "Son of a bitch."

She just wanted to see how Edie. But when she arrived at home, Cecil threw himself to her and started biting him. That was why she got so angry.

Cecil wiped his tears and said, "you are with that asshole. I know. You call him brother. You are all assholes. So I would beat both of you."

"Wow. So confident. You know what? I can break your neck with one hand in seconds," Julia laughed out.

"You dare...."Cecil kept struggling. He wanted to rush to crush her. But Edie stopped him immediately.

"Clean your mouth." Edie frowned. Her small clean face looked icy at the moment.

"You are nothing more than a prisoner here. You are not qualified to ask me to do anything. Your dog bites me here. Though I couldn’t touch you, I think I’m qualified enough to punish this dog a little bit."

Julia said. Her ironic voice kept irritating Cecil’s nerves.

Cecil was really irritated. He got rid of Edie’s hands and rushed to Julia crazily.

"Cecil needs to take rest now. We can talk outside." Edie lowered her head. Looking at the boy trembling in her arms, she felt sad for him.

"Cecil, stay here. Eat something. I would go right back."

"Did this mean that you finally believe me now?" William touched his nose and laughed out.

Edie said in a calm voice, "Seeing is believing. I can analyze myself. All I want to know is the truth. What really happened?"
