Chapter 176: Chapter 176: She Got A Fever

Eddie tried her best to hide her emotions. She pretended to act as though she didn’t feel anything, "Based on what I have found out, they have just registered today. Maybe it is because of this that Joanna agreed to make the video."

She knew that Joanna wanted to marry Donald, but for some reason, he kept delaying the proposal. This time, Joanna finally got what she wanted.

Danny accepted her explanation. So everything was solved. He gave her a hug and said, "Why do you keep getting yourself hurt all the time? You’re just like a little toy."

Edie showed a wry smile, "I do not want to. Perhaps I have not gotten used to this world."

"Anyway, you’re almost finished the play, right? You need to get some rest. I have several scripts here. I will choose one for you soon."

"Wow, the agent is allowing me to have some time off," Edie said with a little sarcasm in her voice.

She felt moved by his words, and she looked at him, "If I didn’t know you didn’t like women, I would almost think that you had a crush on me."

"I am not a blind buddy. Even if I did like women, you are not my type," Danny was quite proud of Edie, even though he never admitted to her, "Are you going to return to the crew or go back home?"

But now, it was the Loyal Villa in which she called her home. Though she only lived there for a short time, she felt safe, and it was almost like she belonged there. Yet, Stuart did not live there anymore. She did not know what excuse she could use to go back there.

With a myriad of thoughts and ideas in her mind, Edie tried her best to squeeze a smile, "I have to return to the spot. I may need to re-shoot several scenes."

Danny waved his hands at her, "Then, be careful." Rhoda was waiting for her outside. On the way back, Edie was feeling a little upset.

Though the problem had been solved, Edie did not feel happy. Danny’s question reminded her of Stuart. She felt a little sad and couldn’t stop wondering where Stuart was.

It had been a long time since she had last heard from him. Neither Mr. Sampson nor Ivan told her anything. Therefore, she gave up. She was mad at them, and she tried so hard not to worry about him. "Stuart, where were you?"

She wanted nothing more than to hear his voice. After arriving at the hotel, Eddie felt terrible. She almost fainted, and Rhonda quickly held her.

Touching her forehead, Rhoda cried out, "Eddie, your skin feels like it is burning up. What happened to you?" What? Eddie did not know what happened to her. Rhoda had only touched her forehead.

Feeling the temperature of the back of Rhoda’s hand, she realized her temperature was indeed higher than hers, "Eddie, you have a fever."

"I felt a little dizzy, "Eddie said in a low voice.

Luckily, Eddie was quite tiny, and Rhoda was able to pick her up. She put her over her shoulder and then took her into the room. Once she got Eddie to lie down on the bed, she called the hospital in the Vacation Villa and asked them to send for a doctor.

Everyone was off duty, and the doctor that came to look at Eddie wasn’t experienced, as he was only an intern. So, he could not do a detailed inspection of Eddie. After merely checking her over, he gave her a prescription and left.

Rhoda was distraught, but she did not know what to do. Lying on the bed, Eddie was amused by Rhoda’s facial expression, "Do not worry. It is just a fever. It’s not a big deal. I will get better soon, all I need is some rest." ƒгeewёbnovel.com

"Not a big deal? My dear, have you seen your arm. You are injured, you know. What if it is an infection?" Rhoda could feel herself getting more anxious, "I am going to call the ambulance right now."

"Don’t you dare. That’s not necessary. I know my body. I will be alright. I have just been exhausted lately."

Rhoda was still worried, "All right, but I am staying here with you tonight. If you feel uncomfortable, please let me know."

"I have only one bed here. You may get sick too. If you sleep on the sofa, I would feel guilty. Don’t worry about me, and I will be fine. Go back to your room and get a good night’s sleep."

Eddie was trying to make her feel better, "But....." Rhoda still wanted to say something, and Eddie interrupted her, "Could you let the director know what’s going on for me?"

Rhoda knew Eddie said this just to get her to leave. She did not want her to stay here to look after her. She answered reluctantly, "All right. Take good care of yourself, okay? Call me if you need me."

After sending Rhoda on her way, Eddie took some medicine. She felt a little dizzy, and gradually, she fell asleep. She had a dream, and in it, she saw Stuart.

In the dream, Stuart, as usual, looked indifferent and cold. He stared at her with his jade-black eyes. Eddie was so excited to see him, "Stuart, where have you been? I have been so worried about you."

Stuart’s voice was cold, "That is none of your business." Hearing his answer, Eddie could feel the tears starting to appear in the corner of her eyes. The excitement disappeared from her face, "But, I, I am your wife."

A smile formed at the corner of his mouth. Stuart looked like he was amused by something funny.

"Eddie, it has been half a year. It is time for us to divorce. You do not really think you are my wife, do you?"

"What? Half of a year? You have been gone for so long?"

She stared at him, shocked by his words. She couldn’t believe it had been that long. She couldn’t take her eyes off him, he looked like a stranger, and he sounded so cold.

"Eddie, it’s time for a divorce."
