Chapter 168: Chapter 168: Violation

After being hit, Edie could hardly move her right arm and thought it was broken. She was on the spot, so she could call out to someone and ask for help. She clenched her teeth and closed her eyes because she was in so much pain.

The director ordered everyone to stop. Everyone ran over to check on Edie’s condition. Rhoda was the first one to rush over to her.

"Edie, are you alright? You were struck by the car."

Rhonda was the only one who looked concerned; everyone else just stood around and wanted to see what happened to her.

She clenched her teeth and tried to look around. Her face was deathly pale, she decided to move her arm, and right at that moment, a shooting pain shot through her arm.

He was running out of patience, and he waved his hands, "Go to a rest area. This scene was done, and now we are going to prepare for the next one."

Sophia started to leave, and as she was walking away, she kept turning around to look at Edie. She wanted to make sure that everyone saw her crying.

After entering the rest area, Sophia’s expression on her face changed from sadness to anger. "Even if she is not all right, so what? I did not mean to do it."

Edie smiled after hearing this and didn’t say another word. After getting a cast put on her arm, she was able to get some rest before her scene. Then suddenly, someone from the crew came and asked her to return to the production.

Rhonda happened to be in the room with her, "Edie, it’d be better for you to have some rest. You do not have to work so hard."

"Only my arm hurts. It’s not a big deal. I will let the director know that I am ready."

Rhoda could not talk to her; she had no choice but to help her. Before they arrived at the spot, they saw the crowd standing there. After the incident, all the reporters came to express their concerns. Therefore, the director advanced the interview. The reporters interviewed several of the leading actresses and actors.

Rhoda stopped and looked at Edie, "Are you sure about this? Do you still want to go there?"

If she were to go over, then the reporters would ask her about her condition. Though she was not severely hurt, she didn’t want to explain. She hesitated for a second and then shook her head, "I will wait for you here. Could you please let the director know? Then, we can go back to the hotel."

Rhoda agreed with Edie, and she started to walk towards the director.

Edie was worried that someone might see her, so she stepped around the corner of the building without anyone noticing her. As she was waiting for Rhonda, she was feeling exhausted and leaned against the wall.

She no sooner rested her body against the wall, and someone from behind pulled her into the room.
