Chapter 582: Chapter 581: We Both Need Time (5)

Bella Acker curled her lips into a smile and said, "I don’t feel that way."

Damian frowned at her, decisively turned around, and took two more eggs from the fridge.

Bella Acker widened her eyes, "Damian, I can’t eat that much."

"I’ll eat it." Damian replied with a sullen face, putting the eggs aside, and then he picked up a bowl with the prepared seasoning, retrieved the noodles, heated oil in a pan again, and fried the two newly taken eggs into poached eggs, placing them all onto Bella’s bowl of noodles.

He had said he would eat them, but in the end, he put all the eggs into her bowl.

Damian picked up the two bowls of noodles and went to the long dining table. Bella let out an almost inaudible sigh and followed.

"Eat." Damian placed a bowl of noodles in front of her, uttering just one word before digging into his own, evidently in a somewhat sour mood.

In the past, Bella would definitely have coquettishly teased him to make him happy at such times.

But now, their relationship seemed really unsuitable for that.

Bella sat down next to him, picked up her chopsticks, and quietly began eating the noodles.

The noodles were cooked to the right softness and had the flavor she usually liked, but after just two bites, her stomach churned.

Bella placed the chopsticks down with a "snap," covered her mouth, and rushed to the trash can in the corner, "Ugh!"

Despite being very hungry, the warmth of the food had hardly registered before it all came back up, along with quite a bit of stomach acid.

Bella held her chest, vomiting for a while until nothing but acid came out anymore, finally feeling a bit better.

Damian gently patted her back, touched her forehead, and said, "No fever. Was the egg noodle too greasy? I’ll call and have some light porridge and side dishes sent over."

He could have had meals delivered in the first place, but he didn’t want their alone time disrupted, so he chose to make noodles himself. Besides, Bella always preferred his cooking to food from outside.

"No... no need." Bella shook her head, "Maybe I chilled my stomach by getting up at midnight. I’ll drink some hot water to ease it."

"I just boiled water, I’ll get you some."

Damian fetched an unopened paper cup to the kitchen to pour water, while Bella sat back on the bench at the dining table, looking a bit dazed.

Could she really be pregnant?

Damian came back with the water, "I put some ice cubes in, it’s just right for drinking."

"Thank you." Bella took the cup and drank half of the lukewarm water, indeed starting to feel a lot better.

"You’ve been overexerting yourself lately. I’ll take you to the hospital for a full check-up tomorrow to avoid getting sick just as everything here wraps up." Damian returned to his noodles.

He had been busy the whole day and hadn’t eaten anything either.

There’s no way she could let him take her for an examination now. Bella refused outright without thinking, "I’m fine, no need. Also... I have to sort Aunt Sienna’s belongings tomorrow, and I need to return the house to the landlord. There are too many things to handle, no... no time for the hospital."

Damian frowned, "Ms. Acker, what are you afraid of? Or are you just unwilling to see me now?"

Bella lowered her gaze upon hearing this, turned the paper cup in her hands, and finally said, "Damian, I need to think seriously about our issues. Once I’ve figured it out, I’ll give you an answer."
