Chapter 571: Chapter 570: Turning Hard and Breaking Off (Part 2)

Mrs. Sinclair doesn’t like her, holding prejudices against her while blindly trusting whatever Cecilia Lynch says.

No matter what Cecilia says, she believes it, not realizing that Cecilia has been using her like a fool all along.

Bella Acker didn’t initially want to speak to Mrs. Sinclair that way, but her current mood is really not good, and facing such questioning from Mrs. Sinclair inevitably ignites her anger.

Ms. Young was right; some people are destined never to like you. In that case, there’s no need to lower yourself and humble yourself to please them.

As long as everyone minds their own business, it’s fine.

Mrs. Sinclair’s face darkened further after hearing Bella’s words, "I will naturally ask the necessary questions; I don’t need your reminder, Ms. Acker. However, I do want to remind you, as long as I’m alive, I won’t watch you walk into The Sinclair Family’s door, so you’d better abandon those crooked thoughts."

Bella lowered her eyes and listened to her finish, then suddenly laughed, "Mrs. Sinclair, you hate me simply because of my father. So I want to ask you, how do you account for the fact that you forced my father to death? Shouldn’t a life for a life come to an end?"

"How can Ronan Rhodes’s life compare to my son’s life!" Mentioning her deceased son, Mrs. Sinclair’s emotions became agitated.

Her slightly raised voice caught the attention of passersby, and Bella turned back to glance. After they moved past, she said, "People have different ranks, lives have varying worth; this is the family tradition of your noble household. Today, I’ve finally experienced it. Mrs. Sinclair, please leave; we have nothing to discuss. Cecilia rolled down the stairs on her own, I didn’t push her, nor did I ever contemplate harming your family. I’m very busy; I don’t have time to discuss these matters with you. Please go."

Having said that, she turned to leave.

"Bella Acker, what are you to teach me how to behave." Mrs. Sinclair, suppressing her anger, said calmly, "Let me tell you, whether the child in Cecilia’s belly is Damian’s or not, I will naturally investigate. If it is, then prepare for prison."

"Mrs. Sinclair, we live in a society ruled by law; even if the Sinclairs have great power, you have no right to send an innocent person to prison!" Bella sneered, now showing signs of anger, "You’re simply unwilling to let me step into your family’s door, aren’t you? Don’t worry, I, Bella Acker, may be poor and without status or identity, but I have pride!"

"Fine, those are your words. Damian, you heard her; she herself said she won’t step into our family!" Mrs. Sinclair looked behind Bella, her expression stern as she spoke.

Bella suddenly turned her head and saw Damian Sinclair standing expressionless behind her. She moved her lips, wanting to say something, but swallowed her words.

What’s there left to say? His family doesn’t like her and disapproves of their relationship. Unless he disregards his family’s stance and insists on being with her, there’s hardly a chance left for them.

So in the end, the initiative is actually all in his hands.

Bella lowered her head, took a step forward, intending to walk past Damian Sinclair.

Damian reached out and grabbed her wrist, causing Bella to stop in her tracks.

Mrs. Sinclair glanced at their hands, frowning.

Damian looked at her expressionlessly and asked, "Mom, why are you here?"
