Chapter 556: Chapter 555: It Will Pass
Seeing the guilt on her face, Aunt Sienna gave a weak smile and reached out to her.
Bella Acker immediately stepped forward to hold her hand.
Aunt Sienna said, "Silly child, why are you saying sorry?"
Bella Acker felt remorseful, "This afternoon..."
"I was just holding my breath this afternoon, don’t listen to what the nurses said, it wasn’t that serious," Aunt Sienna said. "Besides, Sharon and Nanny Lloyd have been taking care of me, so don’t worry."
Aunt Sienna spoke lightly, but Bella Acker knew that if that breath wasn’t caught in time, it would be lost forever.
Bella Acker nodded, then said, "Godmother, thank you."
"Why are you being polite with me?" Sharon Cheney softly smiled and asked her, "Have you had dinner?"
She really hadn’t eaten dinner.
"I knew you’d forget," Sharon Cheney guessed from her expression. "I saved you some snow pea pork knuckle soup that I stewed myself, try it and see how it tastes." Saying so, she got up and opened the insulated container, bringing out the pork knuckle soup and a dish of bamboo shoot and black fungus slices, and even a bowl of hot rice.
Bella Acker looked at the meal set out, feeling touched, her eyes suddenly becoming a little misty.
She turned her head, wiped away the tears that welled up, and smiled, "Anything Godmother makes is bound to be delicious."
"Such a sweet talker, come and eat," Sharon Cheney also smiled.
Aunt Sienna released her hand, "Go and eat."
"Okay." Bella Acker walked around the bed to the small table, sat down, and asked as she picked up the chopsticks, "How is Ethan doing today?"
Sharon Cheney glanced at the small bed with the curtains drawn around it and whispered, "He’s been very good, after coming back from kindergarten he just drew by himself, didn’t cry or fuss, and just recently fell asleep."
"Yeah, Ethan has always been very sensible." Bella Acker paused for a moment while holding the chopsticks and said, "Godmother, thank you for looking after Aunt Sienna so late. This afternoon..."
"Everything is fine now." Sharon Cheney deliberately put on a stern face and said, "You too, why didn’t you tell me when such a big thing happened? If it weren’t for Elaine telling me, I wouldn’t know how tough things have been for you lately. Have you forgotten you still have me as a godmother?"
"Godmother, please don’t be upset, I haven’t forgotten you," Bella Acker hurriedly explained. "You were filming, and I could still manage here, plus Ms. Flynn and others have been helping, so I didn’t want to tell you and make you worry while you’re busy with work."
"It’s okay now." Sharon Cheney sighed and said, "I’ll be resting for a while so I can often come and chat with Sienna. Hurry and eat before it gets cold."
"Okay, okay." Bella Acker nodded.
Sharon Cheney watched her eat for a while, then said, "I heard from Elaine that you and Mr. Sinclair have had a disagreement?"
Bella Acker was startled for a moment, then smiled wryly, lowered her eyes, and softly said, "No, there’s no disagreement to have between us. It’s just that some things have already happened, and neither of us can change them, so we just have to accept it."
"A moment ago, Sienna also told me some things." Sharon Cheney gently patted her on the shoulder and said, "It will all pass."
"Mm."
Bella Acker smiled and continued eating.
The three of them chatted softly for a while longer, then Aunt Sienna fell asleep first, and Sharon Cheney stayed for a while before leaving.
After Bella Acker took a bath in the women’s public shower, she went to the on-duty doctor’s office.
The doctor was writing a case file when Bella Acker knocked on the door and entered, "Dr. Warren, I have something to discuss with you."
