Chapter 972: Chapter 999: Honest and Brave (3)
"Tong Tong is traditional, so it takes a while to test her." Mina Lee chuckled as she spoke again.
As soon as she finished speaking, she turned her head to look outside the door.
In three years of college, her relationship with Tong Tong had grown deeper over time.
From a friend’s standpoint, of course, she was more than willing to help Daniel Davis pursue Tong Tong.
Camden River wasn’t right for her.
Love is like this: the one who falls first loses, the one who takes it seriously loses.
How many secret crushes in this world actually come to fruition?
Especially someone like Camden River, a top-notch guy; any girl who dates him would be the target of envy, enduring immense pressure and strange looks, but Windsor Myres didn’t care about any of that.
Tong Tong was not Windsor Myres; she loved in such a humble, cautious, and deep way that it was exhausting and hurtful.
Seeing this all along, she even felt a sense of compassion.
Daniel Davis was so good; starting from scratch to develop into an industry elite, with looks, a career, dedicated and romantic, and especially as a local of Cloud Capital, he’s been pursuing for two years. In today’s society, where can you find such a man? Besides, he’s already twenty-eight, not much time can be wasted. You miss this opportunity, it won’t come again.
Tong Tong was gentle, so as a friend, she must help her seize such an exceptional man.
She organized this gathering today with a bit of a thought to let Tong Tong see reality clearly.
Mina Lee’s thoughts swirled in her mind, and suddenly two more people entered the room, causing her to look back and be momentarily surprised. She smiled and said, "You guys came too, must have heard your class president returned. Come sit."
"Heard Mia Ginger is hosting, definitely had to come for a free meal."
The two guys who came were from the same class, and both were Camden River’s roommates.
The two of them glanced around the room and noticed two empty seats beside Windsor Myres, so they walked over to sit.
Windsor Myres held her small teacup tightly and smiled at Camden River, "Let’s switch seats so it’s easier for you guys to chat."
As she finished speaking, she stood up.
Camden River, originally sitting between her and Mia Ginger, naturally agreed, stood up, and they switched seats.
Windsor Myres sat down for a short while, then turned to Mia Ginger and said, "You guys eat first, I’m going outside to call my mom, don’t want her waiting for me to eat."
"Hurry up then." Mia Ginger nodded.
Windsor Myres left the room, holding her phone tightly, glanced around, then walked to the public restroom at the end of the hallway, gritting her teeth as she sent a text message.
After a little while, Ali Harris came out of the room.
He was one of the two guys who arrived later, a roommate of Camden River.
Windsor Myres glanced at him, raised an eyebrow with displeasure, and said, "Why are you here?"
"Isn’t this a gathering? I had nothing to do, saw it in the academy group, so I came." Ali Harris spoke in a slightly low voice.
"What do you want to do?" Windsor Myres stared at him for a while and warned, "That night was just an accident. I’ve told you countless times, I would never consider you in this life. If you mention it again in front of Camden River, I will make you regret it."
"I didn’t intend to tell him anything; I’m just worried if you get drunk again, what if something happens? Just came to check."
"Whether I drink or not is none of your damn business."
"I know you like him. Rest assured, I will take that incident to my grave; no third person will ever know. Really, you don’t have to worry about me. I love you so much..."
"Shut up, you." Windsor Myres’ face changed, filled with disgust.
