Chapter 968: Chapter 995: Did You Miss Me? (6)
He spoke while standing up, holding Jax Jackson with one hand and reaching out to her with the other.
Mia Ginger paused, looked up with a playful smile, and asked him, "Do you think we look like a family of three? Just like this."
Koa Jackson: "..."
He tapped her forehead lightly, and said with a bit of annoyance, "Don’t talk nonsense."
"Oh." Mia Ginger raised her hand to rub her forehead and noticed Jax Jackson looking at him with curiosity all the time. She realized he wasn’t silly at all and hesitated before asking, "He’s already four; shouldn’t he be going to kindergarten by now?"
Koa Jackson thought for a moment, "We’ll send him to try it out when school starts in September."
His voice was gentle, and although his expression was indifferent, there was a soft and tender light in his eyes as he spoke. Mia Ginger looked at him from the side, bit her lip, and couldn’t help but hug his arm, whispering with longing, "Actually, this is quite nice. When our child is born, there’ll be someone to play with them."
Her words made Koa Jackson smile, and he pressed his lips together, glancing at her.
Our child?
Koa Jackson chuckled, "Then let’s aim to have a daughter."
"Why?" Mia Ginger pouted, "I want twins, so we can settle it in one go."
Koa Jackson: "..."
He looked at her and laughed, not sure what to say.
Mia Ginger also laughed, and she snuggled into his embrace, humming contentedly, "Let’s work hard; you’re so... well, I’m sure we can do it."
Koa Jackson remained silent and sat down at the dining table, holding Jax Jackson.
The three of them had a little late-night snack.
Jax Jackson is four years old, and Koa Jackson arranged a nursery next to the master bedroom for him and specifically hired an aunt to take care of him. Jax Jackson had been a bit restless because he hadn’t seen him for two days, but now that he’s back, he seemed reassured and behaved very well.
Koa Jackson and Mia Ginger accompanied him for a while, and the little guy soon fell asleep with his eyes closed.
Mia Ginger, tired from the day, also went to rest in the room with Koa Jackson.
——
The next day, Koa Jackson went to work.
They agreed to visit the old man on Saturday, and Mia Ginger slept until she woke up naturally.
After waking up, she played with Jax Jackson for a while, then went back to the Ginger Family in the afternoon and spent the night there.
In the blink of an eye, it was Friday.
There was a class reunion that night, so after waking up from her nap, she took a shower. Just as she left the bathroom, she heard her phone ringing.
Brother Sutton?
Mia Ginger answered with a smile, "Hello?"
"Are you at home?" Mason Sutton’s gentle voice came from the other side.
"I am." Mia Ginger turned to dry her hair and asked him with a smile, "Do you need anything from me?"
"Yeah, I’m arriving at your house soon. If you’re home, come out; there’s a surprise for you." Mason Sutton added with a smile, "Your dad sent you a gift."
A gift?
Mia Ginger thought for a bit and agreed cheerfully.
She dried her hair to semi-dry, found a dress to wear in the wardrobe, and headed downstairs.
Mason Sutton had already arrived in the hall; Aurora Cooper and Aiden Jiang were not there, and the family nanny, Nanny Adams, was entertaining him. Seeing Mia Ginger coming downstairs, she laughed and said, "I was wondering if I should go up and call you; Mr. Sutton said he already called."
"Yes." Mia Ginger smiled and walked over to Mason Sutton, curiously asking, "What did my dad send me? Why didn’t he bring it over himself?"
"He has a dinner party tonight. I finished work a bit early and helped bring it over first," Mason Sutton laughed, stood up, and looked her up and down before smiling with his eyes, "Haven’t seen you in two years; your hair has grown so long."
"Do I look more ladylike?" Mia Ginger joked playfully.
Mason Sutton pressed his lips together and chuckled softly, "There’s a bit of that."
