Chapter 959: Chapter 986: Parting Ways (4)
"I have no feelings for him," Amy said again.
Aurora shrugged, "Alright then, just pretend I didn’t say anything."
Amy glanced at her, opened her mouth, hesitated for a while, her expression changed several times, but she didn’t speak.
The two of them approached Mia Ginger.
After sitting with her for a while, Aurora gently said, "Feeling better? How about taking a rest in my office?"
"Oh, no way." Mia waved her hand to stop her from talking, feeling frustrated, "I haven’t wanted to take the elevator these days, let’s talk later. I specifically came here to see you, and now that I’ve seen you, I’m not going up."
"This girl, haven’t even talked much," Aurora scolded playfully.
Mia pouted, then changed the subject, "That reporter earlier... Dallas Taylor’s wife?"
"Yes, it happened at the beginning of the year, didn’t I mention it to you?"
"Haha." Mia shrugged, "I kind of remember, but I forgot without your reminder. But I know that reporter, she’s on the economic channel?"
"She is, but it feels like..."
"What?"
"Nothing." Aurora smiled and sat beside her, "Came back early to celebrate Valentine’s Day with Koa?"
"You saw right through me." Mia leaned her head on her shoulder, snuggling.
"Don’t I know you." Aurora playfully poked her forehead and teased, "I even told Sister Amy this morning that you were getting mature, not coming back for Valentine’s Day, but look, half a day hasn’t passed and you’ve proven me wrong."
"It’s not entirely for him, I also wanted to see you earlier." Mia hugged her arm and said with a smile.
"I don’t believe it, Amy, do you believe it?" Aurora looked displeased, but couldn’t hide the gentle laughter in her eyes.
Amy couldn’t help but laugh, "Why not believe? If Mia didn’t want to see you, she’d be at the Fourth Hospital now, how could she be sitting here with you, isn’t that obvious?"
"Exactly, exactly," Mia agreed repeatedly.
Aurora looked at her, feeling happy, and asked with a smile, "Where are you staying tonight?"
"I’m driving Brother Jackson’s car, I need to pick him up from work later," Mia’s voice suddenly quieted.
"Alright, I get it," Aurora said with mock displeasure, "It’s fine to be with him today, it’s Valentine’s Day after all. Remember to come back tomorrow night, or else your dad will be upset. And also, visit Old Master Jackson tomorrow, spend some time talking with him, okay?"
"Got it, got it, rest assured."
"What about work?" Aurora asked again, "Time for an internship, have you decided where to go?"
"Sunshining Network, what do you think?"
"A website?" Aurora was puzzled, "Why did you think of going to a website? Your dad and I were thinking about you going to a TV station."
"I want to go to the website," Mia pursed her lips, contemplated for a moment, then changed the subject, "This isn’t urgent, I’ll think about it carefully for a few days, decide in a couple of days. You and Dad don’t have to worry."
"You child," Aurora looked at her disapprovingly, sighed, "Alright, think about it yourself."
"Mm," Mia smiled, "Thanks mom."
"You said you don’t need my input, so I won’t give it. But don’t come to me when it’s tough."
"Won’t come to you, won’t come to you," Mia stood up, took a few steps, feeling energized, said, "You and Sister Amy go upstairs and get busy, I won’t go up."
"It’s still early, Koa hasn’t finished work yet," Aurora quickly stood up as well.
"I’m going to the mall outside to look around, buy some clothes."
