Chapter 958: Chapter 985: Parting Ways (3)
"No, just my legs are a bit weak, can’t walk." Mia Ginger said softly.
Aurora Cooper sighed, "I’ll help you to the sofa over there."
Mia Ginger nodded.
Aurora Cooper supported her as they walked towards the sofa in the hall.
The receptionist took a while to come back to her senses and couldn’t help but ask Amy, "Is that Chairman Cooper’s daughter?"
"Mm." Amy had just finished talking with the property manager and responded lightly.
"So pretty, now that I look carefully, she really resembles the Chairman. How did I not notice earlier? I thought President Taylor brought his girlfriend," The receptionist’s words trailed off when Amy’s expression suddenly showed a slight displeasure, and she whispered, "Get back to work."
"I..." The receptionist was stunned, hurriedly smiled, and wanted to explain.
Amy whispered, "The one with President Taylor is his wife, be careful with what you say next time."
"Ah?" The receptionist was stunned, quickly looked over.
Sure enough, not far behind Dallas Taylor stood a woman, quite tall, but dressed a bit too casually.
A shirt and jeans?
No one in the entire building dressed like that.
The receptionist couldn’t help but be curious but had made several mistakes already, dared not say more, and stepped back to her place.
Amy glanced at her and also walked towards the sofa.
Mia Ginger was sitting on the sofa, and Aurora Cooper stood up, personally poured her a glass of water, and returned to comfort, "We replaced a few elevators the day before yesterday, they were thoroughly checked, theoretically, this shouldn’t have happened, the power cut lasted just over a minute..."
Aurora Cooper was speaking when she paused, turned to ask Amy next to her, "Are you certain no other elevators have issues?"
"Only this one had a problem just now."
"That’s good." Aurora Cooper breathed a sigh of relief and then asked Mia Ginger, "How are you feeling?"
"I’m fine now." Mia Ginger took a sip of warm water to fully regain her composure and sighed, "I was really scared just now."
"Seeing you scared me to death too." Aurora Cooper playfully glared at her, then spoke to Dallas Taylor, "Thank goodness you were here today, Mia is always worrying, she wasn’t supposed to be back for a few more days."
"As long as she’s fine." Dallas Taylor smiled slightly, thought for a moment, and said, "In that case, you’ll stay with her to comfort her. There’s no rush with the contract details, we can discuss them when there’s time. Have Amy contact Banks anytime."
Amy’s expression slightly changed, she pressed her red lips without speaking.
Aurora Cooper glanced at her, couldn’t help but laugh, and said to Dallas Taylor, "Okay, sorry to trouble you for coming all this way."
"I had something nearby anyway, might as well get to it early." As Dallas Taylor finished speaking, he glanced at Reagon Chapman beside him and hesitated, "Why are you here?"
"Working." Reagon Chapman responded concisely.
Aurora Cooper looked at her, smiling, and explained to Dallas Taylor, "I have an interview on the economic channel soon."
"Oh?" Dallas Taylor nodded in understanding, then asked Reagon Chapman, "Done? I’m heading over to see my mom after I’m done, if you’re available, join me."
"Almost." Reagon Chapman glanced at her, slightly curved her lips to Aurora Cooper, "Then we’ll meet the morning after tomorrow?"
"Sure, ten in the morning, at my office."
After some polite exchanges, Aurora Cooper saw the two to the door.
As she watched them step down, she smiled and asked Amy, "You and Banks had a disagreement?"
"I don’t even know him." Amy looked displeased and rolled her eyes.
Aurora Cooper’s smile deepened, "You’re not that young anymore, if you feel something, talk it out, don’t procrastinate."
