Chapter 960: Chapter 987: Parting Ways (5)

"Let Amy go with you." Aurora Cooper was quite happy to hear she wanted to buy clothes and looked her up and down, nodding, "You’re a big girl now, you should dress up."

Once she finished speaking, Aurora Cooper turned to Amy, "Help her pick out some nice ones. It’s best to take her measurements and prepare some formal wear in advance, so you’re not at a loss when needed."

"Ah." Mia Ginger’s expression suddenly changed, "Forget it, I’ll just browse casually and buy some everyday clothes. Those brand names don’t quite suit me; I need more casual attire for convenience."

"She can help you pick out casual clothes too," Aurora Cooper insisted.

Amy smiled, "Of course, there are plenty of options besides skirts. I’ll go with you; how can you shop alone?"

"Really, there’s no need." Mia Ginger shook Amy’s arm and said with a smile, "You should just work well at your job. Don’t let me distract you. I don’t feel like driving right now, just wanted to walk around. It’s not like I must buy anything. Wasting time is equivalent to wasting life. Don’t waste life because of me."

Amy: "..."

Aurora Cooper looked at her helplessly, "You really know how to talk. Go on your own then, and remember to call if anything comes up."

"OK." Mia Ginger smiled as she gestured.

Aurora Cooper sighed, watched her leave, and then went upstairs with Amy.

Mia Ginger carried her bag outside, walked to the parking area, and suddenly heard the sound of a horn.

She turned around and saw Dallas Taylor roll down the half window, asking her, "Leaving so soon?"

"You haven’t left yet?" Mia Ginger smiled at Reagon Chapman sitting in the passenger seat and was reminded of what happened in the elevator earlier, still a bit unsettled, and she said to Dallas Taylor, "Thank you so much today. I was a bit dumb earlier and didn’t properly thank you."

"You’re welcome, as long as you’re okay." Dallas Taylor said.

"Well, then I’ll let you go, don’t want to hold you up," Mia Ginger stepped back, "I heard you have things to do, couldn’t dare delay you."

"No worries, we’re going." Dallas Taylor gave a small smile and rolled up the window.

Reagon Chapman glanced at him from the passenger seat and confidently said, "Do you like her?"

Dallas Taylor gave her a look, but said nothing.

He indeed liked Mia Ginger and often recalled the training days and how striking she looked in camo, lively and spirited. But it seemed it’s just something to reminisce about now.

He liked how Mia Ginger looked in camo, feeling like she was his person.

But—

It was actually just an illusion.

From the beginning, he knew how deep the girl felt about Koa Jackson, didn’t he?

Dallas Taylor didn’t answer her, instead changed the topic, asking, "Why did you go for Chairman Cooper’s interview on the economic channel?"

Reagon Chapman couldn’t help but laugh a bit, her tone slightly stiff and gloomy, "I’ve changed positions for three months now. President Taylor is so busy, not noticing is normal."

"Can you speak properly?" Dallas Taylor drove slowly, impatiently saying, "Our marriage is just to settle things with my mom and your family. You know this well, no need to speak with barbs. I don’t like it."

"You just like that kind of girl?"

"That’s my business." Dallas Taylor looked at her displeased, "None of your concern."

"Right, none of my concern." Reagon Chapman nodded, "But the baby thing is, give me some guidance on this. How will we get through this with your mom? We’ve been together a year and married for half of it, but no progress at all. If it drags on, people will think I have a problem."
