Caiden Ward twisted her cheek playfully and said, "Listen to Uncle."
"Alright, I want to watch TV." Maeve demanded again.
"Uncle Ward has work to do. Can you go watch in the other room, okay?" Caiden Ward suggested with a smile.
"Then you carry me there." Maeve looked at her own feet and kicked off her shoes, "My feet are numb, and I don’t want to walk. You carry me in, and I’ll watch TV quietly and not disturb you."
Caiden Ward sighed, picked her up, and carried her to the other room.

The next day, early morning.
At seven sharp, Koa Jackson parked his car outside the Ward family villa.
Caiden Ward led Maeve out.
It was hot, and the little girl was only wearing a knee-length short-sleeved cotton T-shirt. Her two slender white legs, resembling lotus roots, were exposed. Her loose pigtails hung over her shoulders, making her look adorable.
Mia Ginger opened the car door from inside and smiled as she welcomed Maeve.
"Sister Mia." Maeve rolled onto the seat and cuddled against her arm, acting coquettishly, "I’ve missed you so much."
"Hehe." Mia Ginger held her and sat her down, smiling as she asked, "Who did your hair? It’s so pretty."
"Uncle Ward." As Maeve finished speaking, Caiden Ward, who had just gotten into the front seat, couldn’t help but cough twice, smiling nonchalantly as he explained, "The lady who usually takes care of her isn’t here today."
"Huh?" Maeve was puzzled, "Which lady?"
The one who wakes her up has always been Uncle Ward.

Koa Jackson saw her innocent and lively face through the rearview mirror, glanced sideways at Caiden Ward with a nonchalant expression, and said calmly, "Buckle up your seatbelt."
Caiden Ward shot him a look and reached up to fasten his seatbelt.
The car set off from Triumph Castle, and the four of them headed toward Peace Scenic Area with the morning sun.
Maeve was quite chatty, her little mouth never stopping along the way, rambling on and occasionally singing a couple of children’s songs, extremely happy.
Rarely getting out to relax, Mia Ginger was naturally happy too, singing along with her all the way.
Unknowingly, over two hours had passed on the road.
At 9:30, the car entered Peace Scenic Area, and the view gradually opened up.
Developed for quite some years, Peace Scenic Area is the largest and most well-equipped leisure resort area around Cloud Capital City, renowned domestically, drawing many tourists.
Koa Jackson drove slowly, and before reaching the parking lot, Maeve spotted a KFC.
"Chicken leg!" She tugged on Caiden Ward’s sleeve, "I saw KFC, let’s buy a chicken leg."
"Where?"
Caiden Ward glanced outside, and Koa Jackson pulled the car over to the roadside.
"There it is." Maeve leaned against the car window, looking out earnestly, "You said yesterday afternoon, that if we saw KFC today, we’d buy it."
Caiden Ward chuckled, "Of course, Uncle Ward keeps his word."
"I’ll go." Mia Ginger suddenly said from the back seat, "I’ll go buy it, and I need to use the restroom too."
