Chapter 932: Chapter 959: I Remember Now (1)
The situation with Tong Tong’s lawsuit became a hot topic online for a few days.
Soon, final exams arrived.
On July 4th, Mia Ginger finished her exams and went to Blossom Quarter to pack her things.
Having successfully secured a spot as an exchange student, she naturally wouldn’t continue living at Blossom Quarter. She and Koa Jackson had discussed ahead of time, agreeing that he would come over after work to help her pack, and they would move back to Cloudy Capital together.
It was still early, and the bright sunlight outside the window was dizzying.
Mia Ginger stripped the bed linens and sofa cushions, washed and hung them to dry, and it was only two in the afternoon.
She felt her stomach rumbling with hunger.
She grabbed her bag and headed downstairs to eat.
Just as she left the complex, she received a call from Koa Jackson.
"Brother Jackson."
"How did it go?" Koa Jackson, who wasn’t working that afternoon, sounded relaxed and casual on the phone.
"Not bad." Mia Ginger laughed a little, "I finished the exam by ten this morning, tidied up the house, and now I’m about to go out for food."
"This late?" Koa Jackson frowned slightly.
Mia Ginger explained, "I was busy doing laundry and lost track of time, just now realizing I was hungry."
Koa Jackson disagreed with a soft grunt, then changed the subject, asking her, "What are your plans for tomorrow?"
Mia Ginger was taken aback, "No plans, you got something?"
"Kari mentioned taking Maeve to the water park at Peace Scenic Area. Interested in going?"
"Water park?" Mia Ginger repeated the question.
"Yep, it’s not just the water park. You’ve heard of Peace Scenic Area, right? There are places like the Water Cube, Summer Escape Estate, Landy Town, and Eden Flower Fields. There should be plenty of fun spots. If you don’t have plans, I’d like to take you to relax a bit."
"Who all’s going?" Mia Ginger thought for a moment and asked.
"If you go, it’ll just be the four of us." Koa Jackson explained.
Mia Ginger laughed bashfully, and her laughter sounded peculiar to Koa Jackson over the phone, causing him to chuckle, "Do you want to go? What’s funny?"
"You’re not working Friday?" Mia Ginger hesitated.
"If you want to go, I won’t work," Koa Jackson said with utmost patience, "Maeve saw it on TV and insisted on going. It’s busier on holidays, but Friday should be a bit better. If we go, it’ll just be for two days: the water park tomorrow, staying at the mountain villa at night, then visiting the town and flower fields the next day, and returning in the afternoon."
"Have you all planned it out?"
Koa Jackson sighed, "It’s Kari’s idea."
"Do you want to go?"
Koa Jackson: "..."
He had no interest in water parks or anything, but wasn’t it because he thought this girl needed to relax that he asked her?
Why so complicated?
Koa Jackson rubbed his temple, then he heard Mia Ginger’s small voice, "Going to a water park, ah, does that mean wearing swimwear?"
She hadn’t actually been before, so she only had a vague idea.
After all—
Her and Camilia Davis’s financial situation wasn’t good, so where would they get the spare money for entertainment and relaxation?
Koa Jackson quickly realized this and suddenly felt a pang of sympathy, softly saying, "Feeling shy? You can wear something more conservative, it’s fine. Everyone’s pretty much in the same situation when they go there, no one’s going to notice you."
"Alright then." Mia Ginger, after hesitating, agreed with a smile.
"Good girl." Koa Jackson also smiled, "It’s settled then. You go have your meal first. I’ll come by earlier this afternoon."
Mia Ginger smiled, "Okay."
Koa Jackson smiled too, then ended the call.
Felix Lopez glanced at him from the side and couldn’t help but comment, "Taking young lady out to play tomorrow?"
