Chapter 161: Nervous In The Morning

"Really? If you say so, I really think I have to rest." As Owen listened to the marketing manager, he smiled slightly and looked up at the marketing manager before continuing, "Then why don’t I take another two days off?"
"President, this... this isn’t necessary. You just have to rest for a day. We won’t be able to hold on for long," the marketing manager said fearfully as he listened to Owen.
"Okay, I was joking. Go ahead and call Bruce in," Owen said when he saw how frightened the marketing manager was.
"Yes, CEO. I’ll go out first." As soon as he pushed open the door to Owen’s office, the marketing manager stood at the door and took a deep breath. He felt like the atmosphere seemed to have become more relaxed after he left the office.
"The President is calling you in," the marketing manager said with a smile as he looked at Bruce, who was standing at the side and looking at him with a schadenfreude look.
"He called me in? Why?" Bruce hurriedly said when he heard the marketing manager’s words.
"I don’t know. Hurry up and go in." The marketing manager turned around and hurried out. As he walked, he thought that the atmosphere on the top floor was too tense. He felt that he had to come here less in the future.
"President, you called me?" Bruce said after knocking.
"Yes, I’m going home with Anita today. Order a bouquet of flowers and some desserts from the restaurant my mother always eats at," Owen said to Bruce.
"Yes, CEO."
"Okay, get out," Owen said again while glancing at Bruce, who was still standing at the door.
Bruce thought Owen had something to say, or wanted him to work overtime or rest less for a few days. After all, he had happened to hear them discussing the CEO in the morning.
Unexpectedly, he let him go. "President, then... then I’ll go out," Bruce stammered while looking at Owen.
"Get out," Owen said and nodded.
Unexpectedly, the CEO was not angry at all and did not say anything. As expected, Miss Anita was more useful. Bruce stood at the door and covered his chest.
When Bruce went out, Owen started to get busy with his work. He was going home with Anita tonight, so he had to finish early.
"President, the flowers and gifts have been sent over," Bruce said to Owen as he knocked on the door and placed the things on the table.
"Okay, put it there," Owen said, glancing up at the flowers and gifts. Then he raised his hand again and looked at the time. It was almost 5:00.
"I’ll get off work later. Get off work early after you’re done," Owen said to Bruce as he lowered his hand.
"Yes, CEO," Bruce said with a nod.
"By the way, CEO, Miss Miranda is coming to the company for the product shoot in two days. Do you want to go to the scene to take a look?" Bruce was about to leave when he suddenly remembered this, so he turned to Owen and said.
"The shoot hasn’t started?" Owen asked Bruce.
"President, haven’t you been busy? We just signed the contract not long ago. We haven’t started filming," Bruce said to Owen.
"I left you in charge of this project, didn’t I? You can be in charge. I won’t go over." Owen looked at Bruce and paused before continuing, "You can see your idol Miranda more and deepen your relationship with her."
"President, I... I didn’t mean that." Bruce hurriedly explained. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com
"Okay, I know what you mean. Seize the opportunity and get busy," Owen said while glancing at Bruce.
"President, I’ll go out first." Bruce didn’t know what to say.
Even if he really liked Miranda, she was a big star and he was just a small assistant. How could she like him? It was impossible.
After walking out of Owen’s office, he stood at the door and sighed while thinking sadly.
After finishing work, Owen turned off the computer, took the flowers and gifts he had prepared in advance, and prepared to go home.
After everything was placed in the car, Owen sat in the car and took out his phone to call Anita first. "Hey, I’m off work. I’ll go home and pick you up now. Are you still groggy?" Owen said with a smile as he listened to the clearly groggy voice on the other end of the line.
Owen wasn’t home today. Anita was at home alone. She sorted out the information from the exchange in England and took a nap.
It was just that this nap was a little long. In the end, she was woken up by Owen’s phone call.
When she picked up the phone and heard him, she took it down and looked at the time. It was already past five. Only then did she realize that she had slept for a long time.
