Chapter 162: Going Home to Eat

Editor: Henyee Translations

"I... I forgot to set the alarm," Anita said sheepishly.

Owen could guess from Anita’s voice that she must be feeling embarrassed again, so he chuckled softly and said, "It’s okay. Hurry up and pack. I’ll go back now."

"Yes, I understand," Anita said with a smile as she listened to Owen.

After hanging up, she quickly got up from the bed to wash up and change her clothes.

She was going home to eat with Owen’s parents today. Standing in the changing room, Anita thought about it and finally took out a cream-colored dress. frёewebηovel.cѳm

Her hair was a little messy, and she didn’t look good with her hair loose, so Anita took a hair clip from the mirror and clipped her hair.

When she was done preparing, Owen called again. "Are you done? I’m already downstairs."

"Yes, I’ll go down now," Anita said quickly as she listened to Owen.

"It’s okay. There’s no hurry," Owen said again, afraid that Anita would be in a hurry.

"Okay," Anita replied softly. After hanging up, she picked up her bag from the entrance and went out.

"How fast." Owen had just replied to a message in the car when he saw Anita open the car door and get in, so he quickly put down his phone and looked at Anita.

"Yeah, it’s already six. It won’t be appropriate for us to go home later than this," she said as she got into the car and looked at Owen.

With that, she pulled the seat belt over and put it on. Seeing that Owen was still staring at her, she smiled again and said, "Let’s go."

"Wait a minute. We’re going home for dinner today. Why are you dressed so beautifully? I don’t want you to wear this long white dress out and show others." Owen saw Anita’s attire just after he put down his phone.

Her style was a little different from usual. Her long hair was tied up and clipped with a pearl hair clip. Coupled with the cream-colored dress she was wearing, she looked gentle, elegant, and charming.

This look made Owen want to pull Anita away and do something "naughty" immediately.

"Owen, you miser. What are you talking about? We’re going home to see Mom and Dad. Besides, it’s inappropriate for me to wear any other clothes." Anita looked at his expression, and she couldn’t help but smile.

"Let’s go. It’s almost six. Otherwise, there’ll be a traffic jam," Anita continued before Owen could speak.

"Okay, but you can’t wear this dress again next time. You can only wear it for me," Owen said as he started the car and drove forward.

"Okay, I understand. Let’s go," Anita said with a helpless smile.

The car started and drove out of the underground garage. After a turn, it drove towards the main road. Anita was right. There was indeed more traffic on the road than when he had just returned.

Fortunately, he was familiar with the way home, so he avoided some crowded roads. He chose a route that was longer, but there wouldn’t be so many cars.

So they didn’t waste too much time getting home. They didn’t tell Sylvia and the others beforehand when they returned because they wanted to surprise them. But when they reached the door, they realized that a car was already parked outside their house.

"Are there guests at home today?" Owen drove through the villa’s sensor door, turned the steering wheel, and parked the car in the parking lot.

"There’s probably a guest. We didn’t tell Mom in advance when we came back today. Will it be inappropriate?" Anita heard what Owen said, so she looked at him too.

"It’s okay. So what, since we’re going back to our own home? Besides, Mom should be happy to see you." Owen reached out and shook Anita’s hand with a smile.

"Well, let’s go." Anita smiled at Owen and pushed open the car door to get out.

Normally, after they parked the car, Sylvia and Jacob would come out to welcome them. However, today was an exception. Until now, they had not seen anyone come out to welcome them.

Owen stood in the garden at home and looked around. After seeing that no one had come out to welcome them, he turned, opened the trunk, and handed the flowers Bruce had ordered to Anita, then took the gift out and held it in his hand.

"Come on, let’s go in and see who’s here. How could they make Mom not come out to welcome us?" Owen said with a smile as he looked at Anita again.

"Yeah. Let’s go." Anita nodded and followed Owen home.

"Young Master Owen, Miss Anita, you’re back." As soon as they entered, the butler saw them, so he hurried forward to take the things in their hands and said with a surprised smile.
