Chapter 125: Investigation Report

Editor: Henyee Translations

Owen received the information Bruce had sent him that afternoon.

"President, the private investigator has sent the report on Eric over," Bruce said as he knocked on the door of Owen’s office, walked in, and placed the things on the table.

Owen had been busy. Hearing Bruce’s words, he lowered the pen in his hand and took the information on the table out.

The information was several pages long. It included not only what had happened when Anita and Eric were together, but also what had happened when they broke up, and a lot of what Eric had done to be famous after they broke up. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

It involved the famous singer, Miranda. Owen glanced around hurriedly and looked up at Bruce. "Eric has ties to Miranda?"

"Yes, CEO. According to the private investigator, Eric was in touch with Miranda before he broke up with Miss Anita."

"It’s just that Eric was untalented at the time and he wasn’t able to do anything to attract Miss Miranda’s attention, so their relationship has always been lukewarm."

"But unexpectedly, their relationship improved after Eric gave Miranda that song Miss Anita made." Bruce paused and glanced at Owen’s expression first.

Seeing that there was no change in Owen’s expression, he continued, "According to my guess, Eric and Miss Anita broke up because Eric felt that he could rise to fame with the support of Miranda."

Owen’s expression darkened when he heard this. He snorted and said with a smile, "Wishful thinking. He gets all the good things, but he isn’t capable of anything."

When Bruce heard Owen’s words, he started to laugh coldly. " CEO, you’re wrong. When he first gave this song to Miranda, she did rely on this song to become famous for a while. There was even a time when she was rumored to be with Eric."

But Miranda never responded to the media. After that, Eric never wrote any more good songs for Miranda, and Miranda never gave him what he wanted.

In the end, he probably couldn’t wait any longer, so he started to meet with Miranda frequently. He even exposed the news to the paparazzi a few times and let the paparazzi take photos of them together. He probably wanted to use this as a threat to make Miranda admit that the two of them were in a relationship so that he could use this to obtain good resources.

"But Miranda is a veteran in the industry. No matter how many photos the paparazzi exposed, no matter what the rumors were, she remained indifferent," Bruce analyzed while standing beside Owen.

As Owen listened to this, his mind raced while thinking that maybe Miranda would be a breakthrough.

"Leave the information here. I understand. You’ve worked hard, Bruce." Owen tapped his finger on the table and looked up at Bruce.

"President, what do you want to do next?" Bruce smiled at Owen, then looked at him and asked.

"Him? A person like that won’t remember unless he’s taught a lesson, so I’m going to give him a hard time," Owen said with an unpleasant expression.

"Go ask Miranda. Tell her about an endorsement contract and see if she can get an appointment." Owen turned to Bruce while changing the subject.

"Miss Miranda? President, what’s the meaning of this? Our company doesn’t lack endorsers now," Bruce said dubiously, not understanding what Owen meant.

"Don’t worry. Just go arrange it. You can arrange it tomorrow night or the day after tomorrow." Owen didn’t answer Bruce and just instructed him.

"Yes, CEO. I’ll do it immediately." Seeing that Owen was not going to tell him the answer, Bruce stopped pressing and nodded in agreement.

When Bruce left the office, Owen picked up the information he had.

He looked at it carefully before putting it back. The matter that had been on his mind for days had finally been resolved. He was a little excited and wanted to call Anita to tell her, but he was afraid that he would expose his secret investigation of Eric.

Actually, on the day Anita went overseas, he had wanted to tell Anita everything, but before he could, Anita went overseas.

After he investigated everything, Anita was still overseas and had not returned. It was inevitable that there would be some misunderstandings when the two of them talked on the phone. He really did not want to have any misunderstandings with Anita again, so he held his phone and thought about it. He decided to wait until Anita returned before telling her about what he had investigated.

When he returned home after work and looked at his phone, he realized that Anita had called him twice.
