They didn’t have much time in the morning. They had a cozy moment and it took a while, so on the way to send Anita, Owen drove a little faster than usual.
"Owen, let me know if you have to work overtime tonight." Anita was about to get out of the car when she suddenly turned back to Owen.
"Yeah, got it," Owen replied with a smile as he looked at Anita.
Anita nodded. Without delay, she quickly got out of the car and walked towards the school.
In fact, she had just asked Owen since the two of them had spent too little time together these past two days. Let alone the fact that Owen missed her, she missed Owen too.
So she thought that if the experiment ended early today, she would make some food and bring it to Owen.

"Nothing. I just wanted to catch up on the progress I’ve missed in the past two days," Anita said without looking at Jack.
"Okay, let me know if you’re in a hurry. I can help you," Jack said again.
"Yes, I know. Thank you, but I still want to complete the experiment myself," Anita said with a smile while looking at Jack.
Jack knew that she was a headstrong person. He didn’t say anything else and nodded.
The two of them didn’t say anything else and focused on the experiment.
When the experiment was almost over in the afternoon, Jack looked at Anita and said, "Let’s go to dinner tonight."
Anita froze when she suddenly heard Jack say that.
"What? You treated me to a meal yesterday. I know a delicious restaurant too and I wanted to take you there today," Jack said with a smile when he saw that Anita was still in a daze.
Anita said while looking at Jack sheepishly. She wasn’t good at refusing people, and she thought about it before saying, "Jack, I’m sorry, but I have plans for tonight."
The smile on Jack’s face faded.
After parting with Anita yesterday, he went to the bar himself for a drink. He drank until he felt dizzy and went home to sleep for the night.
He had wanted to give up. He probably didn’t have the chance to woo the outstanding Anita. But when he saw Anita in the laboratory, he couldn’t control himself.
"Jack, don’t be angry. I’ll treat you to a meal next time, okay?" Anita said again when she saw that Jack suddenly looked displeased.
"It’s okay. It’s just a meal. Let’s arrange another time," Jack said coldly without looking at Anita.
Anita looked at Jack and said nothing.
For the rest of the time, the two of them didn’t say anything. Anita had wanted to say something to comfort Jack, but until now, there was something she was stuck on.
And she was in a hurry, so she didn’t say anything to Jack. When she finally finished the experiment and looked up, she realized that Jack had gone out sometime.
She had wanted to wait and see if Jack would return, but she didn’t see him return for almost twenty minutes.
She was a little anxious. She took out her phone and looked at the time. It was almost six. She couldn’t wait anymore. After tidying up the experiment table, she took her bag and hurried out of the school.
When she got out of the school gate, she took a taxi home first and prepared to make Owen a dinner to bring over.
When she reached home, she prepared the ingredients she had bought and quickly started cooking. The pasta was more difficult to cook, so she boiled the pasta first, then peeled a few garlic heads and sliced the small tomatoes and sausages. She was going to make Naples pasta today.
