Chapter 31: Everyone has their own goals
The princess immediately began to delve into her mind again to collect and assemble the puzzle, looking for even a single logical pattern.
’If that person who called himself Mr. Savior doesn’t exist and never existed in this city, does it mean he knew who Ruthless was and how he died?’
’It’s certainly too early to draw conclusions, but all this raises very great suspicions; in any case, if I meet him again, I need to figure out what exactly he wants....’
’Or would the best solution be to immediately add him to my investigation? For now, I don’t know what danger he poses to me or the people in general, but seeing his mask, one can say for sure he is no saint.’
"And why did you ask, did you meet someone with that name?" Lysandra asked with surprise.
Of course, if even she was surprised, then without a doubt this person is hiding something—unless, of course, this surprise itself is a setup. After that day, it became difficult for Princess Celestia to trust at all, as she knows this world is no playground.
"No, I just asked out of interest," she answered shortly and clearly.
After that, silence reigned in the bathhouse, as everyone thought about their problems, or perhaps both of them were thinking about the same thing.
’Caution wouldn’t hurt, so the best decision will be to add Mr. Savior as well. But he saw how I cried and how I was broken that day... Did he want to see exactly that, or to reinforce his conclusions that Ruthless is finally dead?’
’I currently doubt everyone.... Because calling Ruthless’s murder an accident sounds absurd, at least from my point of view.’
"Princess, may I ask you a question?" asked Lysandra, who seemed to be playing with the water, rocking it back and forth, back and forth.
Celestia looked at her and saw how she was playing with the water, and then, out of curiosity, she also wanted to try playing with the water as she did. She also began to rock the water back and forth, back and forth at a slow pace, and after that, a strangely pleasant physical sensation appeared. Like a very pleasant massage being done to your hand, while there is no pressure at all. Only a pleasant warm touch.
This feeling pleased Princess Celestia, and after that, she wondered if this could work on her whole body.
And so she submerged deeper into the water, leaving only her head above the surface, and began to slowly move back and forth, back and forth.
But surprisingly, it didn’t work on her whole body; after that, a thought occurred to the princess that it would be better to do it while leaning forward a bit.
’I think it will be better this way. Leaning forward a bit and feeling the pressure of my body a little...’
She began to move as before, back and forth, back and forth...
But now that feeling from her hands could be felt throughout her entire body.
’Oh, what a pleasure this is. Why didn’t I take baths and do this before? But at least now I know, and from now on I will do this on difficult days...’
While Princess Celestia was thinking about her satisfaction, Lysandra, seeing her movements, began to laugh, and it was clear that it was a truly sincere laugh.
"Princess, what are you doing ahahahaha..."
"What?" she asked with surprise.
"Don’t take it as rude, but you’re moving as if you’re having sex with someone ahahahaha," having said these words, Lysandra began to laugh even more.
"What?! Th-this isn’t sex, it’s just an experiment... yes, an experiment!" she said, and it was clear from her face that she had turned into a tomato.
"Ahahaha, okay, okay, I get it, ahah," Lysandra replied with a smirk on her face.
’Damn.... I was so busy with the pleasure that I forgot she was here, and even worse, it looked like a sexual act... terrible.’
"One could assume that you were imagining yourself doing this with Ruthless, isn’t that right?" Lysandra asked, while the smirk on her face did not fade; on the contrary, she made it creepier and wider, as if deliberately annoying the princess.
"No!"
"Well, make up your mind, yes or no?"
"No! How could I think of that?" the princess said, while she again began to be wildly embarrassed. One could assume that now she had truly begun to imagine the sexual act with Ruthless, and because of that, she became even more embarrassed.
"But admit it... Ruthless is a very handsome guy, isn’t he?"
After these words, Princess Celestia immediately began to remember his face, and looking at it that way, he really was a hottie, as if one could find predictability in him. You know how he will answer and what he will do.
"Perhaps," she replied softly and quietly.
"Especially those black eyes that reflect nothing, as if you feel you’re falling into an abyss, but it doesn’t cause terror because it’s as if, if you know how to act correctly, this abyss can protect you," Lysandra said, looking up, or rather, at the ceiling.
’So I’m not the only one who noticed he has such eyes... But if you think about it carefully, there’s a grain of truth in Lysandra’s words. It’s as if he could become the best friend, an ally, if you know how to act correctly.’
"Well, overall he was a good guy; it’s a pity he died. But what can we say—let him end up in paradise. By the way, Princess, our time is ending, so if our talk is over, perhaps we should part ways... You know yourself, we both have our own important business," she suggested.
"I agree. Then I’ll go first; if you’d like, we can go together," she replied, offering a counter-proposal to Lysandra’s suggestion.
"No, no, you can go first; I’ll stay here a little longer," she declined.
After that, the Princess stood up and began walking toward the changing room.
"Thanks for the talk," having said this, she closed the door, while Lysandra replied only with a soft smile and a nod.

15 minutes later
The bathhouse door opened and a maid dressed in a servant’s uniform entered.
"Is she gone?" Lysandra asked.
"Yes, Princess Celestia has left for her business," she replied.
"Good. You heard our entire conversation, didn’t you?" she asked, not even looking at the maid.
"Yes," she answered briefly.
"Well, what do you think?"
"I think everything is good, but I didn’t understand one part. If you don’t mind, I will ask: Why did you tell Celestia that you tell to Ruthless about only one organization? Because at the time when he asked you, you mentioned two immediately," the maid asked with a serious face.
"Good question. You know, in this world, all people have their own personal goals. And life gives us many opportunities to realize them. And I just happened upon this chance. Right now, our city has begun to suffer from organizations that have the tattoo of a snake biting its own tail. Therefore, I told Ruthless exactly that so that Princess Celestia would deal with them faster. If she deals with them, I will gain a good profit. At the same time, I won’t get my hands dirty, and the city will get all the organization’s resources; plus, the reputation of the city of Syoga will rise, which will affect my reputation before the Queen," she said with her eyes closed.
"Now I understand; it’s exactly what was to be expected from Princess Lysandra."
"Follow her and report everything."
"Understood."
