Chapter 195: Chapter 194 - Vapora(Part 1)

Point-of-View: Wrest Seizel

"Wow, I don’t know what you did, but it certainly does look like the Monster outbreaks have stopped. And isn’t this fascinating, dead Monsters aren’t sucked back into the Mirror Dimension," Anarchy remarked in intrigue, as she kicked at a Goblin corpse. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

"Yeah, there’s still a ton of Monsters around, but at least their numbers won’t be increasing any time soon," I sighed wearily.

Some Monsters had shown up just outside the building we were using as a hideout, and once Anarchy put up a barrier to keep people away, we began cutting down the Monsters.

"Hm, the only way this would be possible is if either God or Satan intervened and strengthened the separation between the living world and the Mirror Dimension. However, God is not known to be concerned by the Mirror Dimension, only Hell. Which means that it is much more likely that Satan did this...but why would he do so?" Mused Dracula curiously.

"Maybe Satan didn’t want everyone killed since that’d mean he wouldn’t have anyone to rule over?" Suggested Afro in response.

Huh, that was one of the points I used to convince Satan. I’ve always thought that this guy is a bit of an idiot, but maybe he’s smarter than I thought.

"There’s only one way to know for sure...so, Wrest, how did you do it?" Inquired Anarchy in fascination.

"I simply spoke to him and layed out the benefits to him of doing this, that’s all," I shrugged in reply.

Yeah, I’m definitely not gonna go into any more detail than that.

"Impressive, convincing a being like Satan is not small feat," Nodded Dracula in awe.

"Wait, how’d you even contact him, in the first place?" Asked Anarchy with a raised eyebrow.

Crap, she’s really not letting this go. She’ll only start guessing and assuming if I don’t say anything, and she might come to a conclusion that’s even worse than what actually happened. Time to lie.

"Easy, I simply just summoned Beelzebub and made the request. And I convinced him to do so by pointing out that, if human civilization collapses, all the knowledge and food he craves will be gone," I lied as easily as I breathed.

"Oh. Yeah, I guess that makes sense," Sighed Anarchy, looking disappointed.

"What’s with that expression?" Inquired Glenn in response.

"Nothing. I was just picturing that he had to go through something humiliating in order to get an audience with Satan. I mean, that’s way more interesting," She grumbled with a pout.

See, this is exactly why I’ll never tell them the truth of how I did it. But in hindsight, now I’m wondering if going through that was even necessary.

Maybe I would’ve been better off going with Beelzebub instead of Asmodeus. I definitely stand by my decision to not go with Lucifer though. That wouldn’t have gone well at all.

"Well, I might have stopped the Monster outbreaks, but I guess I was a bit too late. Several Deities have awakened over the last day or so, it’s not ideal," I sighed wistfully.

"I concur. Those creatures are highly troublesome, especially the Elemental Deities. I might be able to handle some of the minor Deities one on one, but the Elemental Deities are far too powerful," Frowned Dracula grimly.

"Hey, look on the bright side...in their rampaging, they’ve actually destroyed a whole lot of churches and other places of worship, so there’s a lot less work for you now," Grinned Anarchy in response.

"So, hey, Deities are stronger than the Demons of Sin, right? And there are way more Deities than those Demons too, aren’t there?" Spoke up Afro curiously.

"Mhm, that’s right," Nodded Anarchy is response.

"Then, uh...wouldn’t Hell be at a disadvantage if they attack the living world?" He pointed out in confusion.

"Not quite. Yes, when Demons are summoned to the living world, even the Demons of Sin, they’re weaker than even the weakest of the Deities. However...that’s because their full power is more or less halved when they’re summoned to the living world, specifically their speed, strength, Aura capacity and maximum output. In other words, in Hell, they’re twice as powerful as what we’ve seen of them," Anarchy informed him with a smirk.

"Woah, for real!? Then, we’ve only seen them at fifty percent so far!?" He exclaimed wide-eyed.

"Mhm, that’s right. They can’t access their full power outside of Hell...but that won’t be a problem if Satan connects Hell and the living world using a gate; a giant rift that stays open indefinitely, through which Demons can freely come and go from. The only way to close it is to defeat Satan himself. The Demons on Sin, with their full power, will then be more or less on par with the Elemental Dragon Deities," She surmised with a grin.

"Oh, wow, Meta-Humans won’t stand a chance against anything that powerful," Replied Afro with a gleam in his eyes.

"That’s right. Even Aurora and that Werwolf, Fenris, won’t be strong enough to put up a fight against them," Nodded Anarchy in response.

"Hey, speaking of whom...it looks like they’re fighting the Aqua Dragon Deity right now, along with the other Outliers," Spoke up Glenn, showing us a live stream on his phone.

"Seriously!? Wow, those idiots...they’re so dead!" She responded with a laugh.

"Holy crap, that thing’s huge," I frowned warily, as I stared as the massive Dragon, who was stomping on Monsters and shooting them with water blasts from its jaws, hitting some people in the process and killing them.

"I shall deal with the Monsters that are fleeing from here. You all can do as you please," Remarked Bastet, as he zipped away towards a group of Monsters that were slipping away.

"We need to distract the Dragon and draw it this way...there are still a lot of over there, we need to get it away from them," Frowned Aurora, looking uncertain as to how to pull that off.

"I think I should be able to get its attention...this’d work a whole lot better if it were nighttime, but since it’s evening right now, I can make it work," I declared, as I formed a ball of light and fired it towards the Dragon’s face, "The most basic Light Skill technique there is...Illuminate! Close your eyes, everyone!"

As it reached the Dragon’s head, it exploded into a blindingly bright mass of light, and even with my eyelids shut, I could tell how insanely bright it was.

And based on the agitated roar of the Aqua Dragon that was echoing out, I think it’s safe to say that it worked.

"Alright, now! Let’s do it!" Exclaimed Aurora, as she shot forward, but wasn’t using her Shadow Cat...I see, she must have decided to use that other technique, the one she used to nearly kill Beelzebub, Dark Cheetah.

"Okay, here goes...," Muttered Dieter nervously, as he grabbed my arm and teleported us towards the Dragon, reaching its left foot with a couple of jumps, before swiftly retreating.

I then placed my palms onto its foot and activated Wreck, severely weakening the bones and muscles of the massive creature as fast as I could, as well as bursting out inward-spikes from its bones, tearing apart its insides...or at least, I was trying.

Damn it, I’ve never tried this on such a massive target, it’ll take me several, uninterrupted minutes in order to affect its entire body! I’ve barely even fully messed up one foot!

A cut across its torso then appeared, as Adelmira used her Piercing Water Beam technique...damn talk about thick skin, that cut is pretty damn shallow, especially for a technique that can cut down several trees with a single wave of a hand.

Suddenly, Fenris zipped across and pulled me out of the way as the Dragon’s tail came whipping down towards me with immense force, striking the ground with a devastating impact, the street caving in as deep cracks spread out from the impact point.

"Close one, you were almost flattened into a pancake...doubt you could heal yourself from that," He grinned wryly, as the Dragon began to charge up a water blast, which suddenly dissipated, as X activated her Nullification.

"I wasn’t able to inflict as much damage as I’d have liked...I only managed to weaken and damage its left foot and about a quarter of the way up of its left leg," I frowned in response.

"Got it!" Exclaimed Aurora, as she suddenly appeared beside us, before vanishing from sight as soon as she’d appeared.

In that brief instant, I managed to catch a glimpse of her...she had those cheetah-like dark glowing spots across her body and hair, she’s using her strongest move.

She shot towards the Dragon’s left leg at a blinding speed, as it began to fly up, its eyes still shut thanks to my blast of Illuminate.

Aurora let out a strained roar of effort as she closed in and slammed her fist onto the weakened part of the Dragon’s leg, a loud crunch echoing out as she snapped the bones in that spot, blood streaming out as the broken bones pierced out through the skin of the creature, eliciting a deafening roar of pain from it.

Ow, wow, it really worked...we managed to inflict genuine pain against one of the most powerful creatures in the living world. But...somehow, I doubt it’s going to be enough, we might not have done much more than just piss it off...
