"It’s so hot here," I remarked, as we walked through Neo’s portal, getting met with intense heat and bright sunlight as I stepped out into a desert.
"Only simpletons state the obvious," Scoffed Viktor with a glare.
Old bastard...I wish I could smack him around, at least just a little bit, but I’ll control myself. For now, anyway.
But once this is over, I’ll break his face. And his limbs too. Maybe rip out his tongue. After all, Inoka can heal any injury, so I won’t need to hold back. At all.
"Hey, easy, your murderous intent is pretty palpable," Remarked Neo, patting my shoulder to calm me down.
"Yeah, yeah, I know," I muttered in response.
"So, where’s the hideout?" Inquired Elise, looking around.
"We’re about ten meters away from the edge of the Anti-Teleportation Field and any other detection barriers. Now, the instant they’re deactivated, Eden are likely to realize something’s wrong, so we’ll have to move fast and hit them hard.
For starters, I’ll open a portal directly to where I sensed Dieter’s sister’s location, and then I’ll drop her and X back at the campsite. After that, we’ll all split up in pairs and search for the other Outliers, as well as kill any and all members of Eden we come across. Now, then, bunch up, so that I can portal us all in simultaneously," Neo recapped the plan, before giving X a nod.
"Okay, here goes," She replied as she took a deep breath, looking a bit nervous, before I suddenly felt my Aura being blocked.
"Alright, let’s get started!" Exclaimed Neo, as he opened a large portal and dropped all of us into it.
We dropped down into a small, dark room, I could barely see a thing even with my eyesight. Inoka then formed an orb of light to illuminate the room, as Neo simultaneously formed a soundproof barrier around us.
It was a dirty, musty room, with a startled-looking young girl seated on a bed in the corner...she looks just like Dieter, but with red eyes instead of green.
"Alright, here goes...Dispel," Remarked Inoka as he stepped forward, shooting a ball of light at her, her entire body glowing as the light went into her.
Huh? Wait, when did he learn how to fire it out like that?
"What did you just-...wait the Condition is...? Who are y-...wait, is that you, X?" She remarked wide-eyed looking bewildered and overwhelmed, before calming down as a look of realization appeared in her eyes, "Oh, are you all from Harmony?"
"Yes, that’s right," Whispered Neo quietly, before opening a portal, "Go right through here, and you’ll see your brother again. Oh, before you go, do you know where the other Outliers are being held?"
"Oh, um, yes. Miraliz-...I mean, one of the others is being held in the room on the other side of this wall. Don’t know where the other two are, but I think it’s better if you leave them behind," She replied, before inquired eagerly with an excited look on her face, "C-can I go through the portal now?"
"Mhm, you sure can," Nodded Neo in response, before nodding at X as well.
"Actually, I’ll go after we get the girl in the next room. She won’t know what’s happening, so a familiar face might help," Said X, as Dieter’s sister went through the portal, looking like she was barely able to contain herself.
"Alright, then, time to split up, I’ll bring in the four hundred Category 1s and 2s that are on standby shortly. Kiyana, let’s go," Remarked Neo, since he’d partnered up with her, before adding to X, Inoka, and his partner Elise, "You guys too, let’s go."
"Ready to do this?" Inquired Mike, my partner.
"Mhm, I’m ready."
I then took aim at the door and formed a large Negative Blast, before firing it out with a rapid spin. My blast struck the door and burst through, cries of alarm ringing out from the guards, before all of us rushed out the door, splitting off in different directions as we shot out.
Wow, this place is kind of a dump compared to Harmony’s facilities. No, wait, it looks more like it’s an incomplete construction...I see, they must have moved here before they finished building it.
"Take the lead, I’ll cover your back," Said Mike, as we ran down a dimly lit corridor.
"Sure, got it," I nodded in response, before my ears perked up, "Two people are heading this way from the left turn up ahead."
I then shot forward, and as the two I heard appeared from around the corner, I grabbed one by the throat and slammed him onto the floor with all my strength, eliciting a strangled gasp of pain from him as cracks spread out on the concrete from the point of impact.
As the other one began to form a fireball and attack me, Mike leapt at him and slammed his foot against the side of his head, sending him flying across and hitting his head against a wall with a loud thud, losing consciousness and collapsing onto the floor, blood trickling out from his forehead. freewēbnoveℓ.com
"Thanks...but I had that," I remarked wryly.
"Yeah, I’m sure you did. Come on, let’s keep going," He replied with a grin.

Point-of-View: Neo Cronje

"Alright, let’s bust down this do-...," I began, after opening a large portal and bringing in the six hundred or so Category 1s and 2s that the higher ups had kept on standby and having them split up, before X stepped forward and gave the door a strong kick, breaking it in with a loud crash.
"Just do instead of say," She replied with a smirk, before heading in and using her phone flash to light up the room.
"X, is that you!?" Exclaimed a young girl inside the room, standing up with a look of surprise and relief, "I was worried about you, I hadn’t seen you in weeks and-...!"
"Easy, kiddo, I’ll explain in a bit," She responded with a smile, as she gave the girl a firm hug.
Inoka then fired out another orb of Dispel at the girl, her eyes widening as she stiffened up in alarm for a moment, before calming down, her shoulders relaxing as she realized she was free of her Condition.
I then opened up a portal beneath her and X, dropping them into the Outliers’ campsite.
"Alright, time to get this underway. Remember, contact me with your coordinates if you find another Outlier," I said to Inoka and Elise.
"Yeah, yeah, you’ve already told us the plan, you don’t need to keep reminding us," Replied Inoka with a wry smile.
"Just want to be sure, that’s all," I responded with a sigh, before we split up and headed in different directions.
"Hey, um, should we kill everyone we encounter besides the Outliers, or are we going to capture any?" Kiyana asked me, as we went down a flight of stairs.
"It might be worth capturing their higher ups, we could use them to draw out the other Eden members left out of this place," I replied, after mulling it over...I should’ve thought of that and included it as a part of our plan.
"Should I text the others about that?" She inquired in response.
"Yeah, please do."
As she took out her phone and began tapping away at the screen, I halted and held my arm out to tell her to stop too, as I heard footsteps approaching from up ahead.
"Tch, you Harmony bastards...I don’t know how you found this place or how you managed to enter, but we’ll kill each and every one of you," Came a familiar voice, as a man in his mid-thirties appeared, a scowl on his face.
"Oh, you again...haven’t seen you in quite a while, uh...Tim?" I greeted him warily.
"It’s Tom, you arrogant prick!" He snapped in response, as he formed an ice blade.
Right, Tom Geraldo, one of Eden’s Category 0s. I last encountered him five years ago, and I totally kicked his ass. He did manage to get away before I could kill him, but only just barely. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm
He is pretty strong, his Skills are Aqua, Aero and Electro, with a really high output level and excellent control, along with fairly good martial art abilities. He’s also short-tempered and easy to provoke, so despite how powerful he is, he’s a relatively easy opponent to deal with once you know how to push his buttons.
Let’s see how comprehensively I can beat him this time...he’s likely improved, since it has been five years, but it’s not like I haven’t gotten any stronger in that time myself.
Alright, let’s do this-...
"Hey, mind if I have take a crack at this guy?" Suddenly spoke up Kiyana, stepping forward, "I’ve been sparring with Aurora a fair bit lately, but I haven’t really been able to test out how much I’ve improved, not against a proper opponent in a real fight."
Spending time with the Outliers has really done wonders for her confidence and assertiveness, huh.
"Sure, go for it. I’ll back you up if necessary," I replied with a nod.
"Don’t insult me, you pieces of shit! First, I’ll rip you in half, bitch...and then, I’ll fucking crush you, Neo!" Snarled Tom viciously, as he shot towards Kiyana with a furious look on his face, rapidly slashing his ice blade at her throat.
She swiftly ducked under the swing with ease, before getting low and whipping across rapidly, slamming her foot onto his midsection and eliciting a sharp gasp of pain from him, knocking him onto his back with a thud.
Woah...not bad, not bad at all...
