Chapter 128: I have one person that I really want

AN: I am so sorry for my absence. It’s been a horrible week for me. But I am back so see you in the comments. Happy Reading !!!

Li Yu had done this before. She would throw a tantrum when he barred her from entry or refused to take anything she sent for the general. Thinking this should be fine, Alex said, "I will pass it on to the general." When he said he would pass it on, that meant that his people would take the things to Yu Wen.

Li Yu wanted to refuse, but she also knew she couldn’t push it. She nodded, letting them take the things. Alex heaved a sigh, seeing that she was being reasonable. They took the things and left.

He brought the things back with him, but as expected, Yu Wen just took a glance and instructed him to distribute it to the camp. If Li Yu found out, she would be so angry that she would lose her mind.

Li Jun watched them as they took the boxes. He suddenly gestured and said, "Let me take a look. Maybe there is something I would like in there?"

He was thinking it would be such a waste, but just as Alex brought the box over, Yu Wen grabbed Li Jun’s wrist and said, "If you want anything, you can get it in my tent." Li Jun looked at the hand holding him, and he was at a loss.

Why could others have the things Li Yu brought but he couldn’t? If Yan Jia were here, she would have stopped him as well. She would have asked if he was tired of living. What if there were love drugs in there or poison?

Yu Wen, however, was stopping him for a whole different reason. He had brought with him things that Li Jun liked, so why should he take anything from others? In other words, his possessive nature was seeping through the cracks, and Li Jun didn’t even realize it.

Li Jun took his hand back and drank the rest of his tea, trying to ease the sourness lingering in his throat. Setting his cup down, he said, "It must be nice having someone so powerful care about you. Why don’t you two just get married and run off into the sunset together?"

Hearing him say this, Yu Wen felt a sharp pain in his chest, like Li Jun was driving a dagger into his heart. The one he wanted to be with was him, not Li Yu. How could Li Jun misunderstand him like this?

Li Jun got up and said, "You may leave. I have to rest early. It’s been a busy day. Not only was I locked up, I wa-" He didn’t get to finish his complaint because Yu Wen grabbed his wrist before pulling him closer.

Li Jun stumbled into his arms, and he couldn’t breathe for a second. Yu Wen’s fingers brushed the back of his neck. The feeling was so intense and breathtaking that he didn’t dare move. Yu Wen lowered his head and whispered, "I have one person that I really want."

Yu Wen took a step back, and Li Jun, still entranced by his intoxicating scent, stood there with a dazed look on his face. Yu Wen raised the pendant he had taken off without noticing and said, "And that’s the person who owns this pendant."

Li Jun touched his neck, realizing that he had been robbed. This man used his fucking charms to steal from him. He said, "Hey. You gave it to me already."

The man smiled and said, "That was temporary. If you really want it, you know what you have to do." After saying that, Yu Wen left.

Li Jun, "???"

He could no longer delude himself. He hadn’t wanted this bubble to burst so much that he ignored the thought. But now, he couldn’t pretend anymore. Yu Wen must have recognized him the first moment they met.

He slumped back into the chair and slammed his forehead on the table a couple of times. He was thinking about what Yu Wen said to him. Did this man really want to be with him that badly? And what the hell did he mean when he said he should know what he has to do to get the pendant back?

Li Jun slammed his forehead on the table again, but before he could touch the cool surface, a hand rested on his forehead, stopping him. He looked up and saw that it was Yan Jia. Yan Jia had been impatiently standing outside, glaring at Alex, and Alex, though terrified, glared back.

They were like cats about to throw paws. Just when fur was about to fly, Yu Wen came out, and Alex heaved a sigh. He even ducked behind Yu Wen with provocation in his eyes as though saying, "Yeah, do you dare hit me now?"

Yan Jia lunged forward intending to scare him, and it seemed to work because he was terrified. Seeing this Yu Wen reprimanded him saying, "You know you are afraid of her so why mess with her?"

Yu Wen wasn’t afraid of Yan Jia. What he feared most was her bad mouthing him to Li Jun. Her opinion mattered to him, so he didn’t want to provoke her. What if she manages to convince him to run away in the middle of the night? Just thinking about it made Yu Wen nervous.

"Have people watch his tent," he said, and Alex nodded.

"I will get a couple of men to watch them," he replied, but Yu Wen stopped him.

"Don’t make it obvious. I don’t want him to feel like I am guarding against him." Alex didn’t question it. He had long realized that the general was quite accommodating to this man, but he just didn’t know why. He was curious but not so curious that he would ask.

"Yes, sir." He said before sending a message for someone to be on the lookout and let the general know if there was any change.

Meanwhile, Yan Jia was looking at Li Jun with a worried look on her face. "What did he do to you?" she asked, and Li Jun pouted, looking so pitiful.

"I am going to beat him up," she said, but Li Jun stopped her, saying,

"Wait wait wait. He did nothing. Sister Jia, don’t go looking for him."
