Chapter 39: Summoned[2]

Leo found himself inside the Greek-like room he woke up in days ago. The statues that lined the walls were still there. The golden aesthetics were still there as well.

And on the right side of the room, the goddess was still sitting down on her golden throne.

Leo couldn’t explain it, but from where he stood, the goddess’s boobs had noticeably increased in size.

"My warrior!"

The goddess started. Her calm voice penetrated Leo’s ears, soothing the burning anger that he had buried inside his heart.

[Complete!!]

Just like that, the anger came crawling back into his heart in flames. But it didn’t surprise Leo one bit that she had tried those kinds of tricks. For a goddess, she was quite experienced in blackmailing people to do her bidding. That’s what she tried to do the first time they met, using his vulnerabilities to help her achieve what she wanted. But now things were going to go very differently. Convincing him would be a very hard task. Perhaps she knew that too.

"Hmh, interesting. I see my mind control doesn’t work on you. I should have used it the first time we met."

She spoke as if she had learned from the mistake.

"Tell me, what do you want ?"

The goddess stood from her seat, exposing her large curvy hips, then started walking towards Leo as she replied.

"I’ve always wanted the same thing with you, darling. Humans need to be punished. That’s my only wish. As long as that problem still exists, I can’t stop interfering with your life."

She walked around Leo, circling him while touching his chest and back with her fingers.

The experience was very unsettling for him. He almost felt like something was moving beneath his skin. But she was still the goddess and very overpowered, so he didn’t want anything to make the situation worse than it already was.

"I said no, remember? I can’t destroy my kind!"

"Yes, I know you said that, but I think there is something that could change your mind."

She flicked the back of her wrist forward. Consecutively, a loud clicking sound echoed around the room. The walls of the building started to collapse to the ground, and so did the roof. After the whole process completed, only the ruins of what used to be a throne room were left.

Leo stared at the outside world in amazement. They were surrounded by vast amounts of stars and solar systems. Billions and billions of worlds that, you guessed it, the goddess was overseeing. It was a good sight to look at.

’What in the hell is she planning?’ he wondered.

The goddess put her arm on Leo’s muscular shoulder, putting all her heavy weight on him. Leo had to pull all his strength together just to remain standing.

She moved her face near his, her warm breath fanning across Leo’s face.

"I’ve lived for eons, turning people like you into my subjects. And if the first plan doesn’t work, this method does."

Suddenly, the floor began to shake as crack lines formed across the ground. They continued spreading until the rest of the floor was one step away from collapsing.

It was in that moment that Leo knew what it was all about, a trap designed to somehow change his mind into following the goddess’s orders.

Out of nowhere, the weight on Leo’s body increased tenfold. His head was pulled down immediately, the heavy energy pinning him there.

’Shit, I can’t move!’

The goddess smiled the whole time this was happening.

"You stopped my plans. Meta Humans, and humans needed to fight to the death."

She gritted her teeth in anger, trying to contain the fury, but nothing was working.

’It was you all along.’

Leo gazed at her with fury boiling up in his stomach.

Suddenly, she started to transform into her true form, and it wasn’t the holy appearance she had been keeping up. It was far worse.

Light started to spill out of her like she was a torch hidden behind clothes. Her hair began turning black, and so did her eyes. Weird twin horns appeared on her forehead.

On top of her head, a crown made of human bones materialized, soaked in blood. Her garments changed into a red-and-black Greek-like robe.

"I am the Goddess of Suffering."

She muttered as she stretched out her arms like some sort of messiah.

"I don’t need you in Valoria yet. I have a mission for my agents there."

’Her agents!’

A memory stirred up in Leo’s mind. At the test ceremony, after he touched the scanning ball and came out Null, the General had said something about there being two people before him who showed the same Null reading.

’I completely forgot. I don’t even know who they are.’

"I will save you the trouble of searching!"

She spoke as if she read his mind.

"One of them is the Founder."

Crack!

Splash!

The floor broke apart as Leo fell into the endless dark abyss, shards of the ground falling next to him, cutting his highly enduring body like cheese.

’Need to do something, and fast!’

Wind blasted against his face, shaking his hair all over. The experience mirrored the time he fell into the Floors, only that this time he didn’t know how it was going to end.

He started looking around for anything that could save him. Luckily for him, he spotted a planet far to his right. It looked like Earth, with its blue color and nature-like complexion, but it wasn’t as big. Still, it was his only way to survive.

So he gathered a flaming nucleus in his palm and directed it to his left. He made the nucleus unstable enough until it exploded, the shockwave sending him in the opposite direction towards the planet at an extraordinary speed. (Newton’s Third Law of Motion: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.)

He entered the atmosphere of the planet quicker than he expected. His body got engulfed in flames as he progressed with every kilometer, burning his skin off in a painful way. He tried to use Materialization to create armor to cover his body, but the momentum was just too fast, so the process failed halfway or never began at all. He had no other choice but to face the wrath head-on.

The world on the new planet began to become clearer with every passing second. Leo couldn’t see it quite clearly since the wind blasted into his eyes, but he had an idea of where he was just from how the tallest infrastructure was built. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com

Boom!!!

He crashed into the ground with full force, sending shockwaves all over the land.
