Chapter 31: 1 Meta-human down ?

Leo stood on the road just outside the bar he was watching the whole event unfold in, only that this time, the surrounding buildings were completely covered in smoke, courtesy of Aisha.

Aisha stood in midair, looking at Leo like some kind of itch that could never leave her alone.

In her eyes, Leo didn’t look intimidating at all. For starters, he had placed his hands in his pockets, which in her eyes, was Leo’s technique of hiding his trembling hands. He also had slippers on his feet.

"Hey, come down from there, I want to talk!"

Leo said it like it was a command. He didn’t show even the slightest hesitation, which was opposite to what the Meta Human had gotten used to seeing.

Aisha stayed quiet for a second, surprised that someone could even talk to her like that. Using her gaze, she concentrated on Leo’s aura, trying to see what was behind the boy’s confidence. Her eyes turned into an aura X-ray. Immediately, she could see Leo’s energy patterns spreading all over the parts of his body like an irrigation system, and above it all, his aura. Rounds of dark aura radiated off him, creating sparks none of them could see in the air.

’I see, this one is different.’

She started descending from her flight.

Suddenly, behind Leo, the British man from the watch party whispered at him.

"Pttsss, kid, what are you doing? Hide!"

He was hiding in the bar along with the others that were watching the live feed. The government told them to hide in every shelter they could find, and to their luck the nearest thing to them was a bar full of beer to last them a week .

Leo’s eye flinched at him, only to see a set of eyes just peeping beneath a broken window. He never replied to them because he knew talking to them would be giving their location to the Meta Human on a silver platter, which in turn would put them in a bad position.

"The last human that wanted to talk to me ended up dead."

She commented, referring to Katelyn, who she stabbed to the ground.

Leo chuckled first.

"That’s not how I saw it. You did stab her, that part was clear, but you didn’t stab her vital parts. You left her alive."

A red flag rose immediately in Aisha’s eyes like a warning that the boy she was talking to was a detail freak.

’How did he notice that?’

She thought as her heartbeat skipped a beat. She had fooled everyone, but somehow her acting wasn’t enough to fool a badly dressed boy. Believe it or not, Aisha and Katelyn had connected during the fight. That was the only reason she left her in a state that could be recovered by a doctor.

"I’m impressed that you have a keen eye, but I’m sorry, I can’t let anyone else know that or Lord Gara would be angry with m—"

Before she could finish, she flew two invisible blades at Leo, one aimed for his heart and the other his forehead.

But as if the surprises weren’t over yet, Leo dodged the blade aimed for his forehead and caught the one that rushed to his chest.

[Materialization]

A dark swarm of energy enveloped the invisible blade like paint, making it visible into a black blade.

The moment played out smoothly, but behind it, joy filled Leo’s heart. The hypothesis he had to counter the invisible blades in the bar had succeeded. freewёbnoνel.com

Materialization gave him the ability to imagine any object, so ealier he did the most common-sense thing ever: he imagined an invisible blade.

When he got a hold of it, he discovered something weird about it. Invisible things had different frequencies that the naked eye couldn’t see. Just like the system screens, each one was calibrated at a certain frequency that only the owner could see. So all he had to do was recalibrate his mind to be able to see the frequency of the blades.

"Now that we got that over with!"

He paused a little.

"Since you didn’t kill Katelyn, I will give you a chance. You can go back, clone, and don’t destroy anything else!"

Leo turned his back to the furious Aisha’s clone. Walking away with his hands still in his pocket.

In that moment, he had dismissed her as if he had some kind of mercy on her. That alone made her tremble with anger.

Until finally she snapped.

Aisha rushed faster than the eye could see, with her blade in her hands. She tried to stab him in the back, but Leo caught the blade with a pinch of his two fingers without even looking back at her.

"Hey, you have no merits attacking a man from behind."

He said it like that’s not what he planned would happen.

Then with a push of his fingers, he broke the blade into two.

Aisha saw what happened and tried to jump away, retreat and maybe even re-evaluate the situation.

But Leo was already one step ahead, he gathered all the energy he could master in his hands as a flaming nucleus quickly formed in his palm, then when it reached the ideal form, he shot it at her.

Booom!!

She blew up into chunks of meat and intestines, some of it falling on Leo’s clothes.

The crowd in the bar couldn’t believe what they saw. The scene had played out like something from a movie. Some people who were still drunk even thought they were watching a television screen in 4K.

One by one they stood up from their hiding spots, then after hesitating alittle begun clapping their hands, cheering for the boy that saved their drunk lives.

The whole thing made Leo blush. He tried to stop the people from clapping, but it only made the situation much worse. So after telling them to be safe, he ran away from the scene, leaving it better than he found it.

Bwa!!!

The real Aisha vomited thick blood on top of one of the rooftops.

The sides of her mouth were covered in blood and so were her hands. She looked devastated, like she had just been in a fight and lost, but didn’t have any injury to show for it.

’Hey Aisha, are you okay?’

The male subordinate’s voice echoed in her mind as he talked to her using telepathy.

’Yes, I’m fine!’

Bwa!

She vomited again, the blood dripping to the floor as the anger on her face seemingly increased even more.

’I thought the attacks your clones get don’t transfer to you, so what’s wrong?’

’I don’t know too, but that boy’s... that boy’s power. I dont know why jigo didn’t tell us about him .We have to be careful or our plans will fall apart!’
