Blood splattered all over the ground, mixing with the soil beneath it. The thick smell clung unto the air, making it feel even deadlier.
Everyone stood still, their eyes widened in fear at what they had just seen. The Knight had squashed Ken effortlessly like a bug, that thought alone made their little minds fail to process reality.
The Knight began moving again, dramatically lifting its fist from the ground. Revealing the completely disfigured form of Ken’s corpse underneath. It was so scattered that even a doctor could fail to map out which part was which.
Some chunks of bones and his guts clung to the Knight’s metal arm like a medal showing off what it had just done.
Among the four, Leo was the first to break from the trance.
"Guys we gotta run!"
He had already started moving away from the group, his eyes still locked on the Knight that was getting its balance back.
The others heard his warning clearly, the first to follow was Jennifer. The healer started to rush back with fear written all over her face.
Jake started moving too, stepping back slowly so that he wouldn’t set the Knight off and make it attack him.
For a second everyone seemed like they were all on the right track until Sabrina started moving too. Not backwards away from the Knight but towards it.
"No Sabrina what are you doing?!"
Her eyes reddened with fury as swarms of violent wind surrounded her fists.
"I’m going to fucken kill you bitch!"
She screamed as she rushed at the Knight. Her love for Ken overruling her judgment completely.
The Knight noticed Sabrina, but in return it did nothing. It stood straight like it had somehow assessed that she wasn’t a threat to it.
Thud thud!!
When she got near it, she activated her technique.
"Take this you cunt!"
A swarm of wind gathered in the air in a slash shape then slammed unto the Knight.
But even with her effort not even a scratch appeared on the Knight, it just stood still like nothing had happened.
As the adrenaline slowly settled down in her blood she finally realized what the others were trying to tell her all along . It was at that moment that she knew she fucked up.
The Knight raised its hand, the large shadow of its arm covering her face.
Then with a whistling sound escorting it, the Knight swung its huge hand to slap Sabrina out of its sight.
Sabrina’s life flashed right before her eyes, memories of her life back on earth with her parents and cheer leader friends making the moment joyous.
But just as the Knights attack was about to connect, Leo pushed her out of its reach, both of them falling to the other side of the battlefield.
"Run back you guys!!!"
Jake screamed at the others like he was a coach cheering on his players while Leo and Sabrina were both on the ground.
But that was better said than done, because the burning Knight had already turned its head, looking at the two in its sight as its shadow covered them both like prey finally at its mercy.
"Sabrina has fainted, it’s over for us Jake, run away!!"
Leo shouted as he looked deep into the Knight’s burning eyes. The heat at this point had started to rise even more, burning their clothes into ash.
Suddenly

The number appeared at the right corner of his eye.
Then it immediately started counting down like a timer for a bomb.
’Wait what’s that number for?’
Leo thought. He wanted to pull out information about the timer from the system, but the situation never accommodated it.
On the other hand, the Knight started walking closer to them. It lifted its right hand unto the blade on its back, wanting to use it for the first time since attacking them.
Zap!!!
Jake threw a blast of electricity at the Knight.

Three more rounds hit it again. Jake getting tired but not giving up.
Jennifer had already rushed into the forest because they told her to, so Jake was on his own.
Slam! Slam!! Slam!!
Three rounds hit the Knight consecutively. Luckily it was that round of attacks that finally got its attention.

"Alright bitch, follow me now. Nice and easy"
Jake muttered, baiting the enemy to draw its attention away from the two.
And from how angry the Knight seemed the wild plan was working.

Leo walked toward Sabrina then carried her onto his back.
The Knight moved toward Jake, while he stared at it with fear baiting it into following him even more.
Leo pushed Sabrina into a safer side of the forest then rushed out to help Jake but just as he was about to appear onto the battlefield again.
Through the armor suit’s eye holes, the Knight blasted red concentrated fire laser at Jake, but luckily Jake dodged as it hit the ground.
It shot again, missing for the second time.
Jake zapped it again.
But as they say third time’s the charm, it blasted the heat vision again and connected, blasting Jake’s right arm off his body.
"You shittttt!"
Leo jumped on it, hitting the Knight’s armor but nothing happened, he only bruised his fist against the heated armor.
’If I really have an affinity this would be a good time for you to fucken reveal yourself.’
He muttered as the Knight finally turned its attention toward Leo, walking near him.
At the same time, Jake was screaming in pain, one side of his arm burnt off covered in horrifying fresh wounds.

It zapped Leo with its heat laser but luckily he dodged as he hid behind the trees.
The Knight shot again but it started hitting random trees instead.
But even though leo was dodging the attacks, his eyes stayed on the suffering Jake.
Suddenly from the forest Jennifer appeared near Jake, and started to heal him.
Immediately after the healing circle hit him the pain reduced massively.
A small smile spread on Leo’s face as he saw Jake finally getting some relief.
Jennifer actuvated her screen, then tried to press the emergency button but it didn’t work. Even though he was injured, Jake joined in as well, but no matter how he pressed it, it never worked.
The fight was far from over.
"Get through the door, I will pull him back!"
Leo screamed at the others.
Jennifer carried Jake moving him closer to the door.
Suddenly the Knight unsheathed its flaming large blade getting closer and closer to Leo.
There was no doubt about it, if it swung even a little, it would murder him.
’This is where my road ends huh .’
He pondered. Curious, his eyes went to the corner of his vision.

Whatever the number meant, it had finally reached the end.
As if the universe had answered his prayers the Knight suddenly began to disintegrate, turning into ash in thin air.
Everyone was shocked by what they had just seen, the Knight had just arrived and in the next second disappeared out of nowhere.
"What the fuck just happened?"
Jake whispered as Jennifer kept healing his destroyed shoulder.
Leo fell down onto the floor, his body completely burnt out.
He didn’t understand what had just happened either, that was until he opened his system to check what the number was all about.
