Chapter 84: Chapter 84: The Tour Of The Sect
"So prepare yourselves and step through."
The Senior Servant turned around and started walking toward the crimson gate without slowing down.
Just as he was about to step through the gates, one of the servants raised their hands.
"Um... Senior?"
"What?" The middle aged man furrowed his brows with a cold look on his face upon being interrupted.
But instead of loosing control, he decided to listen.
"If this is the real entrance to the Blood Moon Sect..." He hesitated before asking. "...why were we never allowed to come here before?"
Several others immediately looked toward the Senior Servant. It was a question many of them had wondered about.
All of a sudden, the frown on the man’s face, eased away. He no longer seemed annoyed.
Instead, he laughed.
"Haha. You think this gate is just decoration?" He pointed toward the empty space beneath the towering stone arch. "There is an ancient array hidden here."
"You may not be able to see but the moment someone without the true cultivation technique you have learned over the year walks through..." His smile widened. "...every drop of blood inside their body will instantly starts boiling before their bodies explode."
Several servants unconsciously swallowed.
"...Blow up?"
The Senior Servant nodded.
"You did not think there would be no protective measures in this place? We also get spies and traitors you know."
"There is a reason despite all of that, The Blood Moon Sect has survived for thousands of years."
"You really think anyone can simply walk inside?"
He shook his head.
"Only those who have successfully cultivated the True Scripture of the Bloody Moon can pass through the array unharmed."
"The array recognizes the circulation method within your body."
"If the essence of your cultivation difference from our sect’s, you will die." He slowly dragged a finger across his throat.
A cold silence spread throughout the group. Their eyes were now filled with shock and awe. They might have feared the array if they had not learned the proper cultivation techniques.
But only because they learned it did they reach their current realm.
Shen Yuan narrowed his eyes.
’The True Scripture Of Bloody Moon.’ For a brief moment, he hesitated. ’Will there be a problem?"
He could not help but wonder if the Divine Star Cultivation Manual would work or not? Unlike everyone else present, he was no longer cultivating the Blood Moon Sect’s technique.
The manual inside his body was something from even and older generation. Just thinking of that calmed him down. ’That should mean the two techniques have the same essence. So theoretically it should work.’
The Divine Star Cultivation Manual is the origin.
The True Scripture of the Bloody Moon was merely derived from it.
If the array recognizes the source rather than the imitation then, Shen Yuan have nothing to worry about.
Besides what would be the possibly that the elder who could see through the future would mess up on something as simple as this.
Without another thought, Shen Yuan stepped forward.
He lined up behind the servants walking before him and waited patiently for his turn like everyone else.
When someone did step through, nothing flashy happened. Just a burst of cloud came from the ground before swallowing their figures and disappearing with them.
Just as Shen Yuan was about to step beneath the gate himself, another group emerged from the distant road. More than hundreds of servants slowly approached under the guidance of several seniors.
Shen Yuan casually glanced over the crowd.
When he noticed two familiar faces among them, his eyes narrowed.
Ce Xin...
Xin Delun.
They were among the rest two. He immediately recognized the two unfortunate servants who had accepted the same mission as him months ago.
The same mission that had nearly gotten all of them killed.
The two of them seemed the same as he remembered them.
Ce Xin’s cold expression remained unchanged as always.
Xin Delun, on the other hand, looked far confident than Shen Yuan remembered. Even the servants around him kept their distance unconsciously.
Something that made Shen Yuan feel that previous assessment about the guy had been true. ’Just like me, this man is used to wearing masks.’
’I wonder, have they discovered the Blood Chain Gus inside their bodies yet.’
’Or are they still living without knowing death has already rooted itself inside them?’
The thought lingered for only an instant.
’It does not matter.’ Thinking it had nothing to do with him, Shen Yuan resumed his steps.
He was about to withdraw his gaze and look ahead when—
Ce Xin suddenly turned in his direction with a snap of her neck. It was like she had noticed him staring at her. .
Their eyes met across dozens of people.
For the briefest fraction of a second, Shen Yuan could have sworn he saw surprise appear on the young woman’s usually emotionless face.
Shen Yuan wasn’t even sure he had seen it correctly.
The reason being, the world as he saw it had changed.
He was no longer standing at the edge of some cliff. He stood upon an enormous circular platform resembling an ancient sacrificial altar.
The entire formation was carved from dark crimson stone, covered in countless glowing runes that pulsed like flowing blood beneath his feet.
Dozens of servants appeared around him one after another, each materializing from thin air as ripples spread across the platform.
"It... it teleported us..."
"So this is the real entrance..."
Shen Yuan ignored the frightened whispers and looked around. ’So this is the real Blood Moon Sect.’
Before him, An endless mountain range stretched beyond the platform like a kingdom built above the clouds.
Towering crimson peaks pierced the heavens, each one wrapped in rivers of spiritual mist that flowed through the valleys like living dragons.
Thousands upon thousands of stone stairways clung to the mountainsides, connecting countless palaces, fortresses, training grounds, and ancient halls together into one colossal city of cultivation.
At the center of everything...
Rose a mountain so enormous that it dwarfed every other peak surrounding it.
Its summit disappeared beyond the clouds themselves.
Built atop that sacred mountain stood the main sect.
A gigantic palace complex carved from black stone and blood-red jade overlooked the entire world beneath it.
Its countless halls stacked one above another like heavenly terraces, while towering pagodas rose beside them, each one adorned with fluttering crimson banners that carried the emblem of a blood moon suspended above an endless sea.
Even from several kilometers away...
The oppressive aura radiating from the mountain made breathing feel heavier.
Above the main hall, two giant moons hung in the air.
Red and Blue.
