Chapter 315: Huria’s Dream Wedding
(Three Months Later)
"Hurry up! I want everything to be perfect. It’s my wedding after all," Huria almost shouted in excitement to the boys arranging the fresh flowers on the erected poles.
There were a few hours left before she was required to get dressed up.
Zyair and Skyla had graciously offered Sky Villa at the Isle of Dreams for the wedding and honeymoon.
Rais loved the idea so much that after consultation with Zyair, he bought an adjacent villa for Huria on Isle of Dreams and now they were having Huria’s dream beach wedding over there.
Skyla walked out carrying Arata, who was in a happy mood. Seeing Huria over-enthusiastically giving orders, she laughed.
"I have never seen such an overzealous bride before. See Arata, how excited your aunt is," Skyla teased.
"It’s not like I am going to be getting married again and again. And here is my pretty niece, come here you fluffy bun." Huria leaned closer to Arata and pulled her cute little cheeks. The little one didn’t appreciate her aunt’s action and began to scowl. This made both the girls laugh. ƒreewebɳovel.com
"Don’t be mad my ring bearer and flower girl," Huria teased the little one again, taking her from Skyla’s arms and kissing her forehead, "The cutest one ever."
They began to take a walk on the beach, digging their feet in the wet sand. It was still morning and a gentle breeze was blowing, waves kissed their feet.
"Your monster-in-law is here as well," Skyla teased Huria, "Was quite amicable with me. I was surprised."
Huria hid her mouth behind her hand and chuckled.
"Rais threatened to not invite her if she refused to behave. I guess some people learn the hard way." Huria shrugged her shoulders while ruffling Arata’s red curls.
"I hope the wedding goes smoothly. Let’s go get you dressed up now."
Huria couldn’t be happier. They had delayed their marriage because of Skyla’s pregnancy and then the disappearance episode but now both of them were eager to tie the knot and take the next step in this new phase of life.
Evening came and the string lights, lanterns and mason jar lights lit up the whole beach setting. They had been draped on erected poles and spread overhead, hanging like grapes. The picturesque view was pleasing to the eye.
The boys were in matching tuxedos. Everyone had chosen black with a white bow tie, except the groom. He was donning a cream-white tux with a black bow tie to compliment the bride.
A loud cheer went around the crowd as the boys walked out like models. Rais being in the lead, waving to the crowd.
His two brothers followed along with Zyair and Lawrence. Zyair, being his best man, looked dandy in his stylish tux which hugged his muscled body.
People were still not used to his uncovered face and openly stared. Fatherhood seemed to have turned him even more handsome.
Even Kail was present in the audience wearing a silverish-grey tux. Zyair had given him off so he could enjoy the wedding with Erdith. Both of them were officially dating now.
The boys took their positions on the stage. Rais’s parents sat on the front seats and couldn’t help but gush at their son.
It was time for the girls to follow. Skyla arrived first in a pastel blue mullet gown. She was carrying Arata, dressed in a frilled princess frock of baby pink shade. A matching bow-shaped headband held her curls. Her cheeks needed no blush to look pink.
She held a small pink basket containing flowers and the ring Huria was to give Rais.
"Awww!"
"So cute!"
"Those cheeks!"
People couldn’t help but chatter about the cutest and smallest ring bearer they had seen.
Chuckles and cackles followed them as Skyla placed a small kiss on the bewildered-looking Arata. The little girl didn’t understand what was all this about. Zyair happily waved at his girls.
Skyla and Arata took their positions, Erdith and Mawar followed them holding bouquets of pink roses and waving at the crowd. They had on the same pastel gowns but in shades of lilac and pink. After they had taken their positions it was time for the bride to arrive.
Guided by her father, Huria was an exuberantly beautiful bride. Her cream-shaded wedding gown was designed by Skyla and she loved it. The white gemstones made up the entire bodice while the flare was simple silk of the finest kind. A bouquet of red roses was in her hands.
Her smile couldn’t have been wider as her eyes met with the man of her dreams and he returned it with his own charming one.
Reaching the stage Rais received her amidst cheers and applause. Girls helped her with her dress. Once everything was settled, both of them were lost in each other’s eyes while they held hands and smiled so openly.
The priest went through the ceremony, vows were said and rings were exchanged.
"With the power bestowed in me, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride," the priest announced, resulting in Huria launching herself at Rais in a blinding passion.
The crowd guffawed, Skyla pursed her lips in amusement while Rais’s mother shook her head in distaste but held her tongue.
Once they separated, champagne popped and everyone rejoiced.
"Congratulations!" Zyair tightly hugged Rais, patting his back.
Girls were all around Huria, hugging and congratulating her.
"I am so proud of you Huria. I never thought I would see the day you would decide to settle down," Skyla murmured in her ear so only she could hear.
"Neither did I," Huria snickered back to her friend while pulling Arata’s cheek.
"Time to throw the bouquet." Someone announced and everyone climbed down the stage, giving Huria the space. She turned her back to the crowd and threw the bouquet of red roses over her head.
It landed straight in Erdith’s hands, leaving her stunned. Skyla and Mawar excitedly clapped while the rest of the guests joined in. Boys were snickering, throwing knowing glances at the burly Kail standing beside her.
"You better propose soon, big man," Huria tittered while turning around on the stage and others nodded their heads in agreement.
Zyair clamped his hand on Kail’s shoulder and chuckled.
"It’s your time."
"Hell! Yeah," Lawrence gleefully announced too.
Kail and Erdith were going all shades of red in existence and refused to meet each other’s eyes. He just nodded his big head at his boss and Huria.
The music turned on and someone shouted.
"Let’s dance." fɾēewebnσveℓ.com
Rais and Huria had their first dance and soon others joined. Skyla handed over Arata to Meena so she could dance with her husband.
He pulled her close, taut against his body as they began to closely sway with each other.
"Seeing them like this brings back memories. What do you say we take a second honeymoon?" Zyair asked in his deep mischievous voice, that always made Skyla’s nape bristle.
"Only if we can take Mom and Arata too. We promised to take a vacation with Mom. I think it’s the perfect time. We can all use a break."
"I say let’s do it," Zyair heartily said and claimed the ruby lips of his wife. The ones he could never get enough of.
