Chapter 295: Devil And The She-Devil

"You? Why are you here?" Zyair asked in disdain, setting his confused eyes on the woman who was so elegantly clutching Mithias’s arm as if they were a couple.

"Caeco! Me said we will meet again," she replied with such a fake smile that Zyair wanted to retch. She stepped closer to the man she had never considered a son. Mithias followed with a devious grin of his own. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com

Zyair astoundedly gazed from one face to the other, not understanding how these two were colluding together. Then nothing this vile woman did surprised Zyair anymore. Now that he was out of the delusion that she would ever love him.

Did his mother charm him too? He seemed the type too. And then Irisa’s words echoed loud and clear in his mind.

You will be surprised when the truth will come forward,’ she had said when talking about his father.

Could it be?

Although Zyair had features which resembled Irisa there was no mistaking those vibrant blue eyes of Mithias. They were the same shade, both men were almost the same height too, meticulously dressed they had a knack of carrying themselves with finesse.

’No, he can’t be,’ Zyair thought to himself in disgust. He couldn’t be a product of these two morally degraded people. The idea made him physically sick to the stomach. All they cared about was money and themselves. Narcissism ran deep in their very veins.

His loathe-filled eyes kept darting from Irisa to

Mithias. While Irisa’s fakeness was on full display Mithias seemed a tad curious.

"We are here to make a deal. Can we sit and talk? It will be in your interest, I promise." Mithias broke the awkward silence that had stagnated the air around them.

Zyair straightened his hand and gestured for them to sit. A scowl revealing his revulsion remained etched on his face but he wanted to give them a chance to explain whatever this was.

Irisa perched herself on the armchair as if she owned the place, placing her long leg one over the other. Her scarlet peplum dress was provocative, to say the least.

Mithias was more poised and composed. His slightly greying hair were side-combed to perfection.

"Speak because I don’t have much patience for either of you." Small ridges appeared on Irisa’s forehead at her son’s harsh words.

"That’s no way to speak to your mother. I heard you reconnected recently," Mithias spoke with that annoying deep voice of his while placing his hands on his thighs.

"She is not my mother. Why are you here with her?" Zyair dismissively answered, a headache was lingering to descend seeing these two.

"He and those two vile women with him threw me out. Snatched me phone and hit me. Me don’t even feel bad, she was taken. With that mouth..." Irisa complained to Mithias.

"Shut up! If you dare insult my wife, I won’t hesitate to throw you out again. Don’t force me," Zyair growled in contempt, his eyes narrowing at the woman who should have been his everything but was nothing to him now. They were trying to get under his skin by using Skyla as a target, his weak spot and they knew it.

"That’s why we are here to strike a deal. You see, Irisa and I met many years ago when both of us were young and stupid. We spent a night together and the result was you. None of us wanted a child. I told her to abort you. But some motherly instinct made her keep you and she never told me about it until a few months ago. And imagine my surprise when I learnt the truth and saw how you ended up right in my family. Did you somehow know? Was this a scheme by my brother?" He asked, tilting his head a tad to look at the fine man in front of him who held nothing but repulse in his eyes for them.

Zyair already had a hint but the truth still hit him like an avalanche, burying him in its cold numbness. He tried but there was nothing he felt for these two people in front who claimed to be his parents and yet were worse than strangers. However, his lungs refused to function properly and he began to suffocate as if a panic attack was surfacing.

Fate had played its cards and had landed him right in the family which was his, giving him the name which was rightfully his too. But not with his obnoxious father who would have never accepted him but with his uncle instead who alleviated him to the position he deserved. ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com

"Why don’t you ask her? She never could become a mother to me and I grew up not knowing my father and now I wish to never have. Montague Kincaid was my father and Meena Kincaid is my mother, not the likes of you." The utmost calmness of his voice laced with revulsion and those striking eyes that held nothing but animosity irked both Irisa and Mithias.

"We don’t want you either. I already have a family of my own, there is no place for a bastard like you. We just need this company. It’s rightfully mine, a little share will go to Irisa for all her troubles. So why don’t you be a good boy and sign it over to me."

Zyair had to scoff and shake his head at his father’s forwardness and his mother’s evil planning.

They were so perfect for each other, money-grubbers, rotten to their roots, there was not even a tiny hint of remorse or love on their bland faces for him. The lust for money was the only emotion he found there.

"And why would I do that?" Zyair leaned back in his chair and clicked his fingers on the expensive lacquered table.

"Because we can help you find your wife. If you won’t go to the police and keep your mouth shut and just sign all the rights of the company to me. I can tell you how to get her back. Fail to comply and you might never see her again."

There was a tease in Mithias’s words, hidden threats which blazed Zyair’s world. They didn’t even care that his wife was abducted, instead, they seemed to have been involved just to usurp the company from him. Failing to even comprehend that she was carrying their grandchild. They seemed to be the unluckiest grandparents in this world, they would never know what it meant to hold that honour.

Devil and the she-devil in suits who would sell their child just for the money and he had thought Doran was the worst kind. He realised his biological parents had surpassed him.

"Both of you should pray to whoever god or gods you worship that you will survive when I will be done with you. I don’t do well with threats and both of you just threatened my wife. I am sure the two of you are involved in her kidnapping," Zyair kept the tempest swirling inside him at bay and spoke like a sea on its calmest days.

"We not saying a word, until your assurance to comply. The choice is yours, Caeco. Don’t force our hand," Irisa leaned closer and whispered in the same tone as she used to do when he was a kid. He would always tremble and obey her for her hits that followed left traces for weeks.

But Zyair was done with people manipulating and threatening him. He didn’t expect anything from this woman who had birthed him but he had kept just a tiny hope alive. Maybe his father would want him. Turned out he was a money vulture just like his mother.

A few months back when he and Eris had tried to track down Doran, they had traced some of the numbers he had called. Numbers which hadn’t been hidden using whatever software he was using now to keep his calls private and untraceable. One of them had turned out to be Mithias’s number.

Although they didn’t get any data on what they spoke about, it had made Zyair wary of the man who had now turned out to be his father.

When police asked him for any information he in detail informed them of his suspicions regarding Mithias Kincaid. Together they had devised a plan to let Mithias come to him in a place where he would be able to speak freely.

If he was in any way involved in the kidnapping of Skyla, a hint would be dropped by him. What Zyair didn’t know was he would so blatantly agree to it and bring that vile woman along.

It was time to teach them a lesson, a lesson they would take to their graves.

Picking up his phone, Zyair dialled a number as soon as the call connected, he quietly said while keeping his darkened eyes on the despicable duo.

"You people may come now, I am done with these two."
