Chapter 214: Devil Is Out
Doran was picked up by his secretary Karen the day he was released from prison. As he sat in the passenger seat, Karen began to fill him up with the details regarding his ex-wife.
"She is living together with Zyair and they attended a charity event together where she bought his mask for $ 50K." Karen handed him pictures of them together.
One where, Zyair guided her inside the hall of the event they had attended together.
Another where Skyla left the cemetery.
Next, both of them exited Zyair’s apartment together and a few others.
Doran shuffled them all on after the other with his nostrils enlarging to twice the size.
"Of course, she is."
Doran’s dark eyes darkened some more from the hate and anger that descended in them. How he wished to kill this man, tear him from limb to limb. The humiliation he had suffered because of him could never be forgotten or forgiven.
"I see did you get any information on him," Doran asked in a tone bordering on madness.
"Not much, I hired someone to enter his house but he has bodyguards posted at all times so they couldn’t. I am sure we can find something inside his house," she explained while turning the car towards his villa.
"Leave it to me. I will do it myself. It’s time to bring him down and bury him."
The pictures in his hand crumpled from the force he applied as his angered eyes blazed Zyair in the picture and then they wavered to her. She was ever-beautiful with her fiery hair and seemed more radiant than ever. Something seemed to have stuck in his throat as he swallowed hard seeing her sunshine smile.
"We are here. Let me know if I can be of service." Karen’s car halted outside his villa and she killed the engine.
"I will come to you, Karen. You know I appreciate your help." He finally turned his head towards the blonde woman who had an ear-to-ear grin going on, he could sense her happiness, now that he had been released from prison.
"I am yours in body and soul. Anything for you." She wanted to touch him but restrained, he avoided that in public and his reputation had already been dealt a heavy blow.
"Expect my call," he told her and threw the door open to exit her car. She sped away while he rang the doorbell. It was opened soon after and he went inside.
Amsilia was in the living room, calmly having her tea. She knew he would be arriving any minute. He entered and made his way to her, standing in front he mocked.
"Mother!" fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
She lifted her lashes and cast him a dismissive look. There were bags under his eyes but the darkness in them seemed to have magnified. His hair seemed to have lost their lustre.
"I hope jail time made you reflect on your life choices and decisions."
"You bet it did and I am going to destroy everyone who wronged me." The loathing and threats in his voice had Amsilia feeling a slight shudder in her body but she kept a neutral face and took a small sip of her tea to calm her nerves and readied herself to answer her son.
"And here I thought you might learn some decency. I guess the apple didn’t fall from the tree, you indeed are your father’s son."
Doran hollowly laughed, throwing his head back, like a demon his voice echoed in their house.
"Who’s fault is that? I never asked you to marry a man like him or birth me and then abandon me. You are no less faulty than him and I loathe you as much as I loathed him and his mistress. There was one good thing in my life and all of you snatched her from me as well and gave her to another." frёewebnoѵēl.com
Doran threw the pictures he had been holding in his mother’s lap. Amsilia was stunned for a while as she gazed at the pictures. He had her followed and he wasn’t ready to let her go.
"No one snatched her away, your cruelness made her leave and she is with a better man now," Amsilia fired back, holding the tears that were threatening to leak.
"I am getting her back if it’s the last thing I do. Let me see you people stop me," he openly informed her, not worrying about the consequences.
He walked away without a further glance at his mother. Her shoulders fell and the bravado she was trying to keep in front of her son collapsed. A few tears of her anguished heart fell on her wrinkling cheeks and she wiped them off. She knew she had to warn Skyla and Zyair and tell them to be careful. That look in her son’s eyes revealed there was no redemption for him, it was all madness now.
Doran went off to his room and opened the door. Nostalgic memories hit him as he glanced towards the blue divan where she always sat and slept. His eyes wavered towards the place where he had kept her action figure and found it to be missing. His teeth clenched in annoyance.
"Who must have removed it?" He questioned himself and made a mental note to ask Maven.
Proceeding to his drawers he extracted his lighter and pack of cigarettes he always kept and lit it up. Taking a deep puff he flung the lighter on the bed and proceeded to open the other drawer where he had framed and kept their wedding picture.
Taking it out, he rubbed his fingers with the burning cigarette clutched between them on her face and strode over to the blue Divan. Crossing his legs he perched himself on it, placing the picture on his thigh, he took deep cushes of cigarette, letting the poisonous smoke fill his lungs and the room.
"I am getting you back, Skyla, just you wait. And I am going to put a baby inside you this time so you will always be bound to me and won’t dare to leave. I am going to do whatever it takes, the consequences be damned."
His sinister voice echoed in that room of hell as he sat there, formulating evil plans while his cold lifeless eyes remained fixed on Skyla’s face.
