Chapter 213: I Will Do Right By You
Zyair’s heart thumped so loudly in his chest, he thought he was still dreaming. His hands cupped her face, ensuring she was real.
"Really?" His voice cloaked his throat from the emotional turmoil he felt, the blue in his eyes brimmed with warmth and love for her. She nodded at him with a small smile.
"And you are not saying it to spare my feelings?" He asked, his eyes gawking hers for truth. He didn’t want her to pity him and accept his proposal just because she felt forced.
"No, I couldn’t sleep a wink away from you and I hated the feeling of loneliness. I have been alone for too long and I just want to experience whatever was denied to me. And I know you will never wrong me, Zy."
She spoke her truth and his pupils dilated further to her answer and he yelled out in excitement, still not believing she had agreed.
"You won’t regret it, Sky. Thank you for trusting me with your heart." He pulled her face closer and their lips collided. His lips took their time exploring hers, providing the reassurance she needed that she was making the right choices.
When they finally pulled apart she had happy tears in her eyes, so his lips found their way to her teary orbs and slowly drank up her tears as well.
"I won’t let you cry, I promise." His wet lips placed cute kisses on her eyes and she couldn’t help but smile in adoration.
"I have one condition though," she requested as Zyair halted in his actions and said.
"Anything."
"I don’t want you to do anything fancy for me. No fancy engagement rings or engagement parties and we will have a simple wedding with just our loved ones. I just want to be with you."
Skyla knew he would spend an insane amount of money on buying her an expensive ring and booking some seven star venue. She just wanted something simple.
"Done, anything else?" He asked with a slight tilt of his head, his eyes sparkled with so much love as he couldn’t peel them off her face. His heart had been brimmed with everything happy in the world. She had agreed to be his in every aspect now.
"I will pay for the mask I bid on."
"No, I can’t let you spend all of your savings on my mask." This time he shook his head with his lips pursed.
"Zyair? It’s for a good cause. Let me do it," she countered, placing her hand on his chest.
"I know. If you really want to pay then you can do 20 percent. Not more than that," he informed her with finality and Skyla knew he wouldn’t budge anymore.
"All right," Skyla gave up and he again pulled her taut to his bare chest, her cheek pressed into the hard ridges.
"Tomorrow, we plan our wedding. Just remember you can have anything you want. Don’t hold back."
"I just want you, Zyair. Nothing else," she whispered against his flaming flesh as sleep finally found its way to her eyes, now that she was in his arms.
"You will always have me," his tender voice was the last thing she heard as she drifted off to sleep. frёeweɓηovel.coɱ

"He did what?" Huria’s eyes were almost bulging out of her sockets as her jaw dropped to the ground. Skyla had gone to visit her friend the next evening to give her the news in person.
Skyla could only giggle at her reaction.
"We are getting married, Huria. We haven’t set any dates but yes. That’s what we both went."
Huria pounced on Skyla like an excited cat and spoke in her shrill voice.
"Skyyyy, I am so happy for you and I have been praying that you change your mind regarding marriage. This will be good for you and will shut everyone up."
Both friends hugged warmly. Huria was jubilant at the news.
"I also read you made quite a bid yesterday," Huria teased with her right brow cocked at her friend as they separated and Skyla bit her lower lip in amusement.
"Yeah, I sent the media into a frenzy with that bid and also we openly declared that we are dating so it caused quite a commotion."
"Did you see what the Daily News wrote? Let me pull it out." Huria grabbed her phone and took out the article.
"Here." She handed it to Skyla, who began to read aloud.
"Bid that left everyone bewildered. Secret Girlfriend or Secretary?" Skyla couldn’t help but laugh at how much the media enjoyed spicing up other’s private lives.
"Yeah, they are so corny. That’s why I think it will be good if you people got married. Mr Zyair will have more claim on you and I don’t want to bring this up but Doran’s sentence is ending soon so this will be a good move."
His name cast a dark shadow on Skyla and her heart picked up its pace a little as she confided in her friend.
"I don’t want him to have too much hold on me. Zyair is teaching me defensive techniques too, just in case."
"Don’t worry, he won’t dare, knowing what Mr Zyair will do to him. He must know by now whom you belong." Huria’s words put a smile on Skyla’s scarlet lips.
"Yeah! How are things between you and Mr Rais?" Skyla changed the depressing topic and Huria’s face instantly blossomed into a delighted one as she squealed in excitement.
"He is so dreamy, Skyyy. I wonder why I never noticed, he is the perfect boyfriend. I don’t think I have been this much in love before."
"Well, it swells my heart to see you in a stable relationship. Hang onto him, Huria. He is a good one." Skyla slid her auburn hair back.
"I plan to. Let’s drink to that and you are staying for dinner. I hope you don’t have plans with Mr Zyair." Huria got up to fetch some wine. fгeewebnovёl.com
"I don’t but I will inform him that I will be late. Media is all around us nowadays so he won’t get worried." Skyla took out her phone and began to text Zyair.
