Zyair was buried deep in work but as soon as Skyla entered his office he paused it and turned all his attention to her. She was wearing a white blouse with a black palazzo. Her hair were in a bun and that pin shone brightly in her hair.
That brighter-than-the-sun smile was playing on her curvy lips he so loved to devour.
"Good morning! Sensei," she greeted with ease, her hands sliding across his furnished executive desk.
"Good morning! Princess Lily, I hope you remember your promise." He teasingly leaned back in his chair, observing her with mischief. She didn’t shy away this time.
"A princess always keeps her oath, fret not Sensei." She held his gaze while gliding over and comfortably straddling him. His hands were quick to shackle her waist while hers held his face.
Slowly she took off his mask and tossed it over her head, it landed somewhere on the table behind her. She wasn’t a neat freak like him. Nor did she care about the mask in that instant. All she wanted was to see that pristinely gorgeous face of his and those ravishingly alluring lips which performed sinful acts on her. Her thumb grazed them as his deft hands squeezed her waist. She collided her lips with his in a voracious hunger, the fires of passion burnt bright between them as she kissed him with her deep-buried obsession.
Zyair’s hands slipped into her soft curls and he clutched them in a grip which was not painful, deepening the kiss. Waltz of their wet tongues continued until both of them were breathless.
Skyla finally let his lips go, he wished to prolong it but she needed to breathe. His fingertips gently massaged her scalp as their foreheads rested against each other and their beats became one.
"Now that’s the kind of morning I want every day," Zyair’s bemused voice made her smile. Her inner conflicts that he might not like her kisses because she was so inexperienced were quick to diminish.
"You will get it every day along with cookies."
Her announcement had him grinning like a five-year-old.
"I miss your cookies so much, promise you will bring them for me soon," he extended his pinky towards her and she intertwined hers with him.
"I pinky promise. Will bring them tomorrow."
"That’s my girl."
Their little rendezvous was interrupted by the urgent knock on the door and Skyla almost sprung out of his lap. But Zyair had absolutely no wish to let her escape just yet. He grabbed her waist and held her in his lap as his baritone voice rang out.
"Who is it?"
"Lawrence, I am coming in. Are you guys decent?" The boy never sought permission to enter Zyair’s office but with this new development, Lawrence didn’t wish to walk in on anything inappropriate.
"Come in," Zyair’s amused voice rang out.
Skyla tried to leave his lap in embarrassment again but he just shook his head and held her to him.
The door opened and Lawrence entered, his eyes fell on the couple where a flustered-looking Skyla was perched on a widely grinning Zyair’s lap.
Lawrence paused in his steps before closing the door behind him and shielding his eyes with his work tablet.
"Ok, fine I get it. But I really don’t need to see your adult shenanigans." He rolled his finger towards them while facing away from them.
His words added on to Skyla’s embarrassment but Zyair seemed unperturbed even sassy.
"Let go, Zyair," Skyla pleaded in a tiny voice.
"I don’t want to, you belong here."
"Please!" She doe-eyed him knowing he would give in. He frustratedly sighed but lifted his hands and Skyla scampered out of his arms.
Lawrence finally turned to face them, seeing that Skyla had left his lap. He sighed in relief before speaking.
"So I came here to inform you that the Anime team is ready for your announcement and Miss Erdith is here as well to attend it."
Skyla had no clue what announcement Lawrence was referring to, she had been absent too long and now she had to get her head in the game and work hard to catch up.
"Let’s go then. Skyla accompany us," he instructed, picking up his mask and covering his face. Zyair left his seat and Skyla picked up her purse and followed behind him along with Lawrence.
Lawrence placed his hand against his mouth and whispered to Skyla.
"His mood all changed, otherwise all he did was glare, grunt or complain. Miss Skyla effect is real."
Skyla meekly smiled.
Taking the elevator they soon arrived at the Anime Department. Lawrence entered first but Skyla was held back by Zyair. He wanted her to enter after him once he announced that she was there.
"Don’t panic, if anyone dares say anything to you. I will handle them. Slowly you need to start making public appearances so people can know you have nothing to hide."
Zyair’s assurance evaporated any fears that were lingering in her heart to face the Anime Department. He entered the conference room and once he announced she was there Skyla tentatively followed him fixing a broad smile on her face.
Everyone welcomed her with cheery expressions and open arms. There was no hostility for they understood what she must have been through.
Erdith embraced her tightly, the woman had no clue what Skyla had been going through and the moment she heard about the case she understood why Zyair was overprotective of her.
"I am so very sorry, I had no clue that you were stuck in such an abusive marriage," she apprehensively elaborated in barely a whisper so only Skyla could hear.
"No biggie, it’s not your fault and he is locked up now," Skyla eased her fears as all of them took their seats so Zyair could begin the meeting. fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
Once they were settled, Zyair placed his hand on the polished table. Everyone became alert and all eyes were focused on him as he began.
"This meeting has been called in accordance with Miss Skyla. Let’s first welcome her back after the tough time she has been through and make her feel at ease. Then we will progress towards her new status in the company."
