Chapter 145: His Beautiful Angel
"Ummm," was all she could muster as his lips trickled down to her jaw leaving traces of soft feathery kisses. The sensation became too much, sending her brain into overdrive.
The feel of his lips against her smooth skin was like this raw amber igniting her whole being, she could go up in flames any second.
The uneasiness grew, it spread from her head to her dainty toes as she could no longer stand still. She had forgotten such sensual feelings could even exist the one Zyair was invoking inside of her.
Then he nuzzled into her delicate neck, taking a deep breath to store away her scent in every crevice of his brain. The tip of his nose lined her long neck, making goosebumps appear on her whole body. Her heart was doing a thousand a mile, jumping so frantically that she thought it would burst.
"Z–Zyair," she finally willed herself to speak.
"Yes, beautiful," he yearningly whispered against her soft skin.
"We should stop," she reluctantly requested, her body betraying her yet again she wanted to continue being held and explored by him, specifically his mouth. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓
"I don’t want to," he boldly told her, his nose still tracing her neck, making wetness pool between her thighs. She wasn’t sure how long she would be able to hold on before turning around and clinging to him.
"Please! Just until he signs it too," she whimpered as a frustrated sigh left him.
"Alright, but the day he does that I am claiming you as mine. I won’t stop so tell me you burn for me too like I do for you."
He stopped teasing her neck but his chin rested on her head now, and his arms stayed around her not wanting to let her go.
"I—I..."
"Do I make you speechless?" He tilted his head and watched her from the side, highly amused and proud of himself. Skyla let out a hot puff of breath before confessing.
"Yes!"
He heartily chuckled at her answer. Adjusting his mask he twirled her around and asked in amusement.
"And why is that?"
Skyla’s throat dried up like the Sahara desert at his sudden action and seeing how close his face was to hers. Those sultry bluish orbs held promises of all the naughty things he wanted to do to her.
"Stop teasing me," she sheepishly asked, lowering her gaze while heat rose in her cheeks.
"Hmm, you need to eat too so I will stop for a while. But you gotta hug me once," he declared, his eyes softening until only she remained in them. She was his whole world.
She needn’t be told twice. Spreading her arms she embraced his rugged torso clad in leather and buried her face in his chest. He hugged her back, letting her affections seep into his being. His heart letting her in, all of her in.
The wind howled all around them, the angry sea roared like a serpent below and yet they stood there under the pale moonlight, like two lovers lost in time.
"Come, you should eat now and then we will talk about your day."
Unwillingly both of them broke the hug and distanced themselves.
Zyair took off one of the paper bags and spread it on the rocky surface so she could sit down comfortably. Once she was seated he opened the food box and handed it to her.
"Eat and finish everything," he authoritatively ordered, letting her know there would be no excuses when it came down to her eating.
"Yes, Sensei!"
Skyla took the box and began to slowly eat. The food was delicious and she didn’t even realise how hungry she had been. His presence had untied the knots and now she could eat in peace.
"This is delicious, do you eat from there often?" Skyla asked as Zyair spread out his toned legs in front of him with one straight and one bent, his arms arching behind him while his face upturned to watch the moon.
"I grab something from there whenever I come here to have some peace from my turbulent life. You know this is the spot I was lying down in when I received that notification of the money you sent."
He slanted his head and found her misty eyes staring at his.
"It was like the heavens finally heard me, sending you to me like an angel, a beautiful angel I must say." He straightened, extended his hand and took a lock of her Auburn hair, twisting it around his finger.
"An angel with fire in her hair and the forest in her eyes. The angel who is mine now."
He declared without any hesitancy. The way he declared she was his made Skyla all gooey inside. She wanted to climb on his lap, take down his mask and smash her lips against him.
But she wasn’t that bold enough, nor did she wish to encroach on his privacy.
"I am not an angel, Zyair. I feel like I intentionally or unintentionally hurt someone to have ended up with someone like Doran." She tore her eyes away from him but his hand softly clasped her face, letting her focus back on him.
"I beg to differ, Skyla. You can’t hurt a fly let alone a person. I think good people are tested more than bad ones. They are tested so they can finally find their salvation with the right person. We wouldn’t be here if the chain of events had not happened the way they did. I know the suffering doesn’t justify it and I would give anything to erase the last 9 years of your life. But it finally brought us here to this very spot."
He wished everything had panned out differently, especially for Skyla but the twisted ways of fate brought them together like this.
"You are right, we can’t appreciate the blessings until we know what we have been missing and go through the hardships. But I don’t think it’s ever going to leave me. Every time his face flashes in my mind, I cringe and think he is going to appear and hit me. The moment I signed those papers anxiety crawled over me and it wouldn’t dissipate. He said he would break my legs if I ever tried to run away from him and would kill any other man in my life."
She unburdened her fears, finally telling him what she had been so afraid of.
All the lines of his face hardened into an angry expression of immense hate, directed at the man who dared say something like that to her.
He shifted closer, placed his head on her lap, laid down and closed his eyes. Trying to bury the threatening darkness which was rearing its head again.
Her soft hands landed in his hair as she began to comb his luscious locks.
"He will do no such thing, Skyla. I told you to give all your worries to me. Stop letting him invade your thoughts and destroy your peace. From today onwards you won’t worry about him or cry because of him. Will you try it just for me?"
His eyes suddenly opened and he found her determined ones.
"Yes, I am done wasting my tears on that piece of shit," she answered with determination and he smiled underneath his mask.
His girl was brave.
