Chapter 131: His Reward
"Show me what you got Skyla-Chan," he stealthily shifted behind her and carefully watched as she landed a few more punches at the bag with Doran’s face.
Leaning closer he held her wrist in a firm grasp, the one that wouldn’t hurt her. She tilted her head to stare back at him, his face only a beat away from hers.
"This still bends, I will hold it," his voice raspy in her ear as his muscled chest connected with her back and all of Skyla’s senses were crowded with his unique oceanic scent and rugged ridges of his body. So perfectly toned in all the right places.
His bare foot landed alongside her and shifted hers a bit back, positioning her properly. Their toes rubbed against each other and she could feel sparks burning her whole body.
’God help me.’ She sent a silent prayer.
Inhale
Exhale
Oxygen went in and out and yet Skyla couldn’t get enough of it in her lungs, this man behind her was stealing it. He was a thief who wanted to steal her heart too.
Maybe he already had, who knows?
"Skyla?" His smoky voice pulled her back from the ocean of seriousness she had dived into.
"Yes?" She asked, still dazed from his closeness, the control withering away.
"Punch that ugly face. If you will land a proper punch I will reward you," his husky voice was all she could hear. He used his other hand and straightened her face. His fingers warmly enveloped her fragile ones, his wrist pressed against hers keeping it straight.
Both of them landed a hard punch on Doran’s face and the bag vibrated from the force.
"Like this, good girl. Now do it again." He let go of her hand but didn’t step away, staying closer to her.
She steadied her breathing, straightened her wrist and using her knuckles hit the bag as hard as she could. It slightly rattled from the force as she drew her hand back and winced.
It hurt.
She threw another one and then another until her knuckles were raw and numb.
"Now that’s more like it. I am proud of you Skyla." He gently took her hand in his and stopped her. Zyair began to rub her reddened knuckles with the pad of his thumb, running small circles on them.
As much as he didn’t want any pain to come to her he also wanted her to be strong and independent. To be able to defend herself against that monster or any other with ill intentions.
"Thank you!" She beamed, his appreciation was everything to her. The feel of his skin against hers had eased all the pain that existed.
The blue in his eyes danced with his fervent emotions.
"For your reward, do you trust me?" He suddenly asked, his eyes sultrily boring into hers, upping the beats of her unfaithful heart. It was becoming more faithful to him than her.
"Yes!"
"Close your eyes, don’t open them till I say so. Can you do that?" His voice had dropped a few notes, it was so silvery and smooth like a gust of soothing zephyr.
She did as had been asked with a positive nod. He twirled her around and caught her in his arms, closing her gorgeous eyes with the slow movement of his hand over them.
The shudder that cracked through her like a jolt of electricity heated her insides and churned like a whirlpool. She was caught, there was no escape.
She waited, anticipation building up with every second, tensing her, tensing each of her muscles. When his command came like a delicate stroke of a brush on her unpainted canvas.
"Relax!"
She breathed out.
Feathery softness like velvet touched her knuckles, one after the other as his uncovered lips caressed them. Easing and kissing away the pain.
Every touch brought a new sensation budding inside of her. Until he kissed the back of her burnt hand, fully blossoming her with his delicate pecks.
He had totally unnerved and rattled her with his actions. He pulled her even closer by holding onto her waist and then his lips rested on her forehead.
All the worries left her as cold does on a warm sunny day, filling her with his warmth and affection, brimming and overflowing her heart.
"Next time he tries to even look at you wrong, I want you to punch his face as I have taught you," he breathed out against her forehead.
"I will try." Her voice shook with overloaded emotions. She didn’t want him to let her go, couldn’t she just stay like this forever?
"Not try, you will do it my precious Lily." He finally adjusted his mask and took a step back.
"Open your eyes."
She obeyed, her eyes flickered open and found him watching her with such tenderness. So serene, so calm, so very intriguing. She was lost in a trance.
"I will," she solemnly promised. Whatever he would have asked her in that instant, she would have heeded to it.
"That’s my girl. You can change now." Reluctantly he let her go as if it hurt him physically. freewebnoveℓ.com
"Thank you, Sensei!" She offered him a cheerful smile while her insides hurt. No matter how much she denied it, the pull to remain in his arms was strong, too strong for her to resist.
So she quickly escaped to his bathroom and closed herself in. Her heart wouldn’t calm down as she stared at her knuckles which he had kissed. Placing her lips on them she tried to feel his lingering presence.
She had to unglue herself from the door and change. Not wanting to let the feeling go she didn’t wash her hand.
Watching herself in the mirror Skyla adjusted her pin and touched her forehead where he had kissed her without his mask and she wantonly yearned for more.
How would it feel to kiss him? She touched her lips and groaned.
Frustrated and torn, she blinked away tears and finally left the bathroom.
"I will see you tomorrow. Are you heading off too?" Skyla asked, seeing he had put on his suit jacket too.
"Yes, my apartment needs restocking so I will head over there tonight," he informed her as she picked up her stuff from the table and got ready to leave.
"Good evening, Sensei. Thank you for the session and everything else."
He didn’t miss the afflicting desires descending in her eyes, so he smiled and said.
"Good evening, Skyla. We will continue tomorrow. More rewards will come if you continue to punch like that."
He winked, she shied away.
Before she could make a fool of herself or succumb to her neediness she escaped his office and almost ran away.
He shook his head in amusement watching her leave like that.
All the way home, she had this stupid smile on her face and her hand kept wavering to her forehead where traces of his lips still existed. Her smile only vanished when she entered her home and went up to her room.
Opening the door she instantly shuddered at the cold dead eyes that awaited her inside. She remained statued at her door frame as he held out her teddy bear and asked in a tight voice that held the promise of hurting her.
"Where did you get that? Pray tell, Skyla."
