The ordinary people scrambled from their spots, fleeing toward the only exit—which was right next to Su Xing.
Any Sequencers mixed in with the fleeing crowd were cut down by Su Xing without hesitation.
This sent another wave of panic through the crowd. Some people’s legs gave out, and they collapsed to the floor. Before they could struggle back up, others trampled them underfoot. A scream rang out as more people tripped and fell in the chaos.
Curses, screams, and sobs mingled together, turning the entire scene into utter chaos.
They had no choice. If they were even a little too slow, they would all be trapped and killed in this building. They weren’t Sequencers; if something fell on them, they would likely die on the spot. No one was willing to throw their life away.
"Damn it..."
The man who had been following Su Xing, hoping to watch him kill, witnessed this horrifying scene.
Without a second thought, he bolted for the exit. He now had only one thought: ’Grab my girlfriend and get the hell out of there. If this damn building really collapses, it’ll be no fucking joke!’
Su Xing glanced at the fleeing civilians. Though they didn’t have a Sequence, they had all, to some extent, been in contact with the Spiritual Sect.
Su Xing didn’t kill them, but he had already notified Su Yu to bring people to apprehend them.
"You think you can stop me?!"
A bald man, radiating the earthy yellow energy of a Tier 2 Sequencer, cursed and charged straight for a nearby window, planning to climb out and escape.
He wasn’t the only one with this idea.
Many Sequencers immediately decided to escape through the windows. Even though they were Sequencers, if the Dragon Heaven Building truly collapsed, they would be crushed to death. They couldn’t just sit here and wait to die!
But their actions instantly drew Su Xing’s attention. Without even moving from his spot, Su Xing slashed out with the Sparrow Sword at an unbelievable speed.
The Sparrow Sword carved an arc through the air, leaving a bloody hole in the forehead of each Spiritual Sect Sequencer who tried to flee.
In the span of a single breath, all the Sequencers who had tried to escape were dead.
Tier 1, Tier 2, and even Tier 3—
not a single one of them could survive for more than a second before Su Xing.
"Wh... What is this?"

The Assistant Priest standing next to Li Kong at the ceremonial host’s position slammed his right fist against a nearby wall, his pupils constricting. He stared in disbelief at Su Xing, who was slaughtering people as if they were chickens. The Assistant Priest’s entire body began to tremble slightly.
’He just couldn’t understand... Why is Su Xing so strong?!’
He had always assumed that since Su Xing had fallen for his Sequence, he must be an ordinary person. Taking down an ordinary person should have been trivially simple.
But he had never stopped to consider how an ordinary person could have survived this long. Li Kong had repeatedly warned him that Su Xing was not to be underestimated. Although he hadn’t said anything openly, deep down, he had always looked down on Li Kong, thinking he was too soft.
