Loraine held her breath, stopping dead in her tracks for a moment as she slowly turned to see the notification, the red flickering buzz of the system an irritating sound to her ears after the beating she had just endured.
’You’ve got to be kidding me....’ She thought, genuinely wondering what on earth she had done to be put through so much turmoil, in such a short amount of time. And now she had a quest to worry about on top of it all.

’Oh....this doesn’t seem so bad. Just cleaning work, and some gardening, I could get around that. It at least beats sitting at a desk for 14 hours.’ Loraine thought with a small smile on her face.
’I do wonder what’ll happen if I were to lose experience points while having zero?’

Loraine blinked in surprise, caught off guard by the system’s immediate update on her Daily Quest, finding some of her quests to have doubled, as well as new one’s being added.
She remained silent for a moment, contemplating her situation for a bit. She had gained additional work to do, but in return, she would receive additional rewards as well.
Since she couldn’t go outside and fight monsters, or explore dungeons, she figured that this scenario probably wasn’t so bad, as she didn’t even want to know of the horrors that could be lurking out there, not when her environment itself was home to monsters.
"Is this system trying to help me grow since I have no way of doing that as of right now?" She contemplated, the idea intriguing her for a bit.
"Oh well, I don’t have time to be contemplating that." She said, grabbing the broom from the wall and walking towards the door of her room. "I need to better explore my surroundings and take note of everyone I’m working with."
Loraine grabbed the door’s handle, the cold steel of the door knob a strange feeling against her skin as she twisted the handle and pushed it open, stepping out in the grand mansion halls. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm
The light of the morning sun filtered through the blinds of the mansion hallway, a few particles of dust visible in the large beams of light as she gazed down the hallway and paid attention to her surroundings.
Silence.
’I suppose everyone else is still asleep?’ Loraine thought, raising a brow as she saw that none of the other maids doors were open, wondering if the maids operated at a certain time and she just happened to be the only one awake besides the head maid.
"Now then, time to get to work." Loraine muttered to herself, grabbing the broom and preparing it in a sweeping motion, gently lifting the stick off the ground and readying her arms.
Her mind completely forgetting the fact that she had a Talent that boosted her skills effects by tenfold, the system ringing in her mind, alerting her of her skill usage.

Loraine barely had any time to process the alert of the system, feeling a strange, warm, and powerful energy radiating in her body, before intensifying heavily and bringing a great pressure down onto her entire being, her broom stick glowing intensely with the effects of her skill.
"Oh shi-!" Loraine cursed, the broom sweeping across the floor with greater force than she had anticipated, it was as if a different entity took control of her being and she had no way of stopping the overwhelming velocity of her simple stroke.
Whooosh!!!
A powerful gust of wind blasted from her broom, bursting through the corridors like a howling beast, dust and grime torn apart from the overwhelming force, the windows rattling slightly from the crazy wind pressure.
What remained of this surprising event was nothing short of breath taking, the floor was clean, way too clean as if it had been mopped earlier, but she hadn’t done that. All she did was try and sweep the floor, and instead she created a freaking hurricane in the halls!
Loraine fingers twitched in her hands, dropping her broom from sheer shock and post adrenaline in her veins, a dumbfounded look settling on her face. She glanced at her hands, seeing them trembling from sheer adrenaline and a hint of fear from the force of her abilities.
’What....just happened?’ Loraine questioned herself, turning to her system for answers she booted up her skills and took a glance at her [Clean] Skill.

’So this is the skill [Mystic Amplification] amplified? Its ridiculous to think that a skill as simple as this could transform into something so powerful, almost...dangerous.’ She thought, breaking a nervous sweat.
She walked over to the broom, picking it up and trying to sweep once more, the same thing happening again and almost knocking her backwards from the sheer overwhelming force of the mini-wind hurricanes her actions would emit.
A concerned expression forming on her face as she glanced at her broom, realizing that this would be far more difficult than what she had initially expected it to be.
"We might have a problem..."
