Chapter 42: Chapter 42—Anomalous Opponent.
Laden had observed the invaders for a bit, so he knew that his current opponent wasn’t the Normal in any fashion.
Firstly, most of the silver-haired hyenas manipulated what looked to be metal that actually arose from their skin.
But the one in front of Laden, instead of being like that, had a mass of silvery metal floating just beside it.
"I wonder how he came to be," Laden muttered.
His mind could stray too far, though, as he watched the mass of silvery metal morph into a spear shape and head straight at him.
Laden regretted not bringing his staff along, but there was really nothing he could do about it; instead, he focused on closing the gap between him and his opponent.
With a clean sidestep, Laden was able to get out of the attack path.
He kicked off the ground to close the distance, but his opponent was in no way dumb.
The silver spear that had passed by Laden previously had now changed direction and was headed back toward Laden.
Forced to stop his charge and focus on countering the attack, a soft sigh escaped Laden’s mouth. He couldn’t think of the perfect way to block the attack.
If he turns around to block or dodge the attack coming behind him, his back will be exposed to his opponents.
Laden checked his surroundings and immediately found an open spot to his left.
Without hesitation he charged towards the side, successfully leaving the range of attack and also not exposing his back.
"Tsk, it’s like fighting two opponents at once," Laden said anxiously.
The silver Hyena that had previously been staying a distance away and not getting close finally switched strategy.
Instead, it charged straight at Laden and alongside the metallic spear.
"Finally have the mind to attack, uh," Laden said, annoyed.
He completely ignored the ranged attack and charged straight at his opponents with the hope that taking care of it would completely nullify that one.
Laden arrived in front of his opponent and sent a skull-crushing punch straight at its head.
Laden had put all he had in a bid to solve it all in a flash.

A metallic sound rang out loudly as Laden’s fist hit the beast Metal hard head.
"Dammnm, this is hard," Laden shouted in shock.
Though he had used all he could squeeze out at the moment, he wasn’t able to breach the beast’s defenses at all.
"Now I see why those guys were having it difficult," Laden muttered.
The Metallic spear he had ignored earlier finally arrived in front of him; he was currently still feeling the rebound from his last attack, and Laden wasn’t able to fully dodge in time.
With the little amount of time he had, Laden swerved to the side harshly, completely not caring for his spine at all.
But it all still wasn’t enough; the metal was already too close, even after all his effort; the Spear still made contact with Laden.
Opening up a long wound along his chest where blood kept oozing out hard.
Feeling the warmth of blood on his chest, Laden’s eyes widened in pain as veins popped on his head.
"Haaaaaaa, bastard," Laden cursed loudly.
Though he was in a lot of pain, Laden knew better than to just charge head-on out of anger in a situation like this.
Instead he pulled back a little, giving himself some time to breathe a little.
The wound across his chest created an extremely painful stinging pain that shot straight to his head Preventing Laden from focusing completely.
Every breath he took heightened the pain even further, making the fighter harder.
"Don’t be a baby," Prime shouted in an equally painful tone.
"This weakling is no match for us," Prime shouted.
"We just need to know its secret,"
His opponent also didn’t seem keen on directly attacking after it had successfully injured its opponents. Hoping Laden will quickly bleed out and die.
Now the two were locked in a temporary deadlock as they both waited and stared at each other.
Laden and Prime currently scheme, which Prime termed as Strategic combat."
"I have gotten it. We will be using its best friend against it," Laden said with a smile.
"Hmmmm, you are growing smarter," Prime said with a gentle nod.
Laden looked down at the wound on his chest; he noticed the rate at which blood oozed out from his wound and realized that he needed to finish the battle as soon as possible.
Without wasting any more time, Laden charged at his opponent, but not with the intention of attacking directly.
"Hyenas are dumb," he thought.
The Hyena noticed Laden’s charge and went back to its normal strategy.
It sent the metal spear back at Laden, and since he was expecting it, Laden was able to easily dodge it.
And in the same way, the beast sent the metal spear back, coming towards Laden back like earlier, but this time Laden ignored it.
He charged straight at the beast and arrived in front of it with force.
He knew his attack probably wouldn’t injure the beast, but it should be able to destabilize it.
Laden sent his punch back at the point he had attacked earlier; the punch connected, and Laden was able to achieve the response he wanted. freewebnøvel.com
The spear attack had arrived not too far from Laden, increasing the urgency. He hurriedly carried the destabilized Hyena and sent it straight at the incoming spear.
The spear hit cleanly, piercing the hyena straight in the stomach and stopping completely in its track.
"Exhumed," Prime said in an arrogant voice while Laden fell to his knees.
"We did it, Prime, we beat that bastard," Laden said with a smile.
Due to the little bit of enhanced healing Laden got from Prime, the blood had slowly reduced in its intensity.
Laden remained on his knee, hoping to regain a bit of his composure and see if he could continue fighting.
hoaaaaaahaaooo
Laden suddenly heard a strange loud noise from behind him, to which he turned around quickly to see.
"It’s charging straight at me," he said with wide eyes.
