Chapter 501: Chapter 501: Darling, Don’t Make Me Uneasy
"It doesn’t have to be that I’m hurt, or come down with a serious illness, for you to treat me better!" Evelyn raised her voice in dissatisfaction, "It’s just singing a song, yet you want something in return!"
Caden shook his head helplessly, thinking Evelyn’s words were really provoking.
Doesn’t she know that she’s the person he’s treated the best so far?
However, pampering her a bit more doesn’t seem like a difficult thing.
Moreover, as if he wanted to outshine Logan Shaw in musical talent, he decided to showcase his singing in front of Evelyn.
At that moment, the bedroom lights suddenly went out.
In the dim light, Evelyn looked at Caden, trying to gauge his intentions, only to hear his voice ring out.
"Meeting you made me realize how important you are to me, no one else can feel your sweetest smile, I don’t need to search for anyone else because I’ve already found you. Our destiny is just right, not allowing others to disturb, the beauty of love is known only to us, closely surrounding you every minute and second, you mean so much to me..."
Listening to Caden’s rich and gentle voice, Evelyn’s breathing slowed down, as if she was worried it might disturb her listening to the song.
She admired Caden so much!
Although she had long known that Caden’s speaking voice was wonderful and singing must also be great.
But she didn’t expect it to sound this good!
The melodious tune poured out from his lips, flowed into her ears, soothing every cell in her body, making her entire self relax.
She really wanted to see what expression he had while singing, but he turned off the lights.
All she could do was focus her gaze on his faintly moving lips in the very dim light.
So beautiful!
Her heart was about to burst with delight!
The song ended quickly, and when Caden stopped, Evelyn was already overwhelmed.
"Not enough! Not enough!" Evelyn urged, "Honey, sing something else! Or, you can just keep repeating this one!"
"Darling." Caden’s voice was deep and rich, "When we’re doing our exercises, why don’t you shout ’not enough’ a few times?"
"Annoying!" Evelyn teased playfully, "Can you be serious?"
Caden countered, "Why should I be serious in front of my darling?"
"Keep singing!" Evelyn begged, "I really want to listen!"
"Such auditory enjoyment can’t be too much," Caden said with a proud tone, "When you behave really well, I might consider singing again."
"How can you say that?" Evelyn wasn’t satisfied, "When you asked me to sing, I didn’t just sing one song for you!"
"Two Little Tigers?" Caden teased Evelyn deliberately, "Darling, your classic song, I won’t forget."
Evelyn was displeased, giving Caden’s chest a gentle nibble.
Even though she hadn’t heard enough, Caden was unwilling to sing again, so she could only sulk, kick the bedding a bit, and complain until she fell asleep.
Listening to Evelyn’s even breathing beside him, Caden tightened his embrace of her, planting a gentle kiss on her cheek, and softly said: "Darling, don’t let me feel uneasy." His tone was deeply complex and worried.
Evelyn stirred a little, sleeping soundly, completely unaware of what Caden said.
A bitter smile crept onto Caden’s lips as he closed his eyes, deciding to go to sleep himself.
In the middle of the night, Caden awoke with a headache.
He clutched his head, instinctively reaching for medication from the drawer, which woke Evelyn.
Evelyn immediately turned on the light and saw Caden pale and trembling, his body covered in sweat, and understood he was having a headache.
She quickly got up, took out the medicine and poured a big glass of water.
"Honey!" Evelyn called out anxiously.
She bit her lips, knowing Caden had had a headache during surgery once, but it had been half a month without one, why was it happening again?
