Chapter 1220: Chapter 1220: Young Master Walyon’s Creative Pursuit of His Wife (Part 1)

After Summer Sutton went back, she didn’t turn on the light in the room, only the one in the bathroom. She washed up quickly and went to sleep.

Ariella Sawyer was rushing to film tonight and didn’t come back. Summer Sutton was the only one at home.

Watt Bennet stood downstairs, just quietly looking in the direction of her room. Around one in the morning, guessing that Summer Sutton was already asleep and wouldn’t come out again, he still didn’t leave.

He actually knew very well that even if he stayed here and waited, she wouldn’t come down, but he still didn’t want to go.

Watt Bennet just wanted to be a little closer to her, so that if anything happened with her, he would know.

The car stayed parked outside Ariella Sawyer’s complex for the whole night. Ever since Watt Bennet arrived, he hadn’t left.

There was always a lot going on at Royal Delight. Summer Sutton had gone to bed late last night, but she got up very early the next day.

After getting up, she didn’t even eat breakfast. She just freshened up briefly and hurried downstairs.

After she walked out of the complex and was about to head toward the bus stop, Watt Bennet’s figure suddenly appeared.

"Going to the office? I’ll drive you," he said, looking at her for a moment as he opened the car door for her.

Summer Sutton’s gaze drifted in his direction and, without any visible emotion, lingered on him for a few seconds.

It was seven o’clock now. Showing up here this early—had he not gone home last night, or had he gone back and then come over again?

But he was still wearing the same clothes as yesterday.

Summer Sutton looked at Watt Bennet’s unchanged clothes. She already understood everything in her heart, but she still didn’t say anything.

Bending down, she got into his car.

"Have you had breakfast? If not, let’s grab something on the way first," Watt Bennet turned his face slightly toward her and asked.

As if afraid she would refuse, he immediately added, "Let’s go to that bun shop you used to like. It’s still early before you have to be at work; we’ve got time."

Summer Sutton still didn’t say anything.

Watt Bennet drove straight to the bun shop Summer Sutton had liked to go to on her way to her previous job.

That shop was actually far from where Ariella Sawyer lived; they had to go halfway around the city.

By choosing that shop, Watt Bennet was really just trying to spend a little more time with her.

Even if it was only an hour, half an hour, it was already enough for him.

To Watt Bennet now, Summer Sutton was like steam slipping through his fingers; he was afraid that if he wasn’t careful, she would vanish.

No matter what he said, Summer Sutton didn’t respond, but she didn’t refuse either.

Watt Bennet drove for half an hour and finally parked outside the bun shop.

After they went in, he ordered the buns Summer Sutton liked and freshly squeezed soy milk. The two of them quietly started on their breakfast.

From beginning to end, Summer Sutton only ate her own food and didn’t once take the initiative to speak.

Watt Bennet actually had a lot he wanted to say to her, but before the whole situation with Lorraine Hughes was completely cleared up, he didn’t know where to even begin.

Helpless, Watt Bennet ended up not saying anything.

Summer Sutton ate very slowly; you could tell she didn’t reject being alone with Watt Bennet.

She was giving him time.

But as the time she waited grew longer, the disappointment in Summer Sutton’s heart also grew heavier.

It had already been days, and from beginning to end, Watt Bennet hadn’t given her a single word of explanation.

Now it was actually Summer Sutton who was getting a little scared—that when the time she had given him finally ran out, what she would be left with was still just a blank silence...

With every day that passed now, Summer Sutton felt as if a piece of her flesh were being cut away.

If Watt Bennet ultimately still couldn’t clear her name, what choice was she supposed to make?
