Chapter 1221: Chapter 1221: Young Master Walyon’s Creative Pursuit of His Wife (2)

The breakfast shop where they were sitting was one they had often visited before, and the breakfast tasted the same as before. The fresh soy milk was sweet, yet every sip Summer Sutton took felt unbearably bitter.

She knew very well that it wasn’t the soy milk that was bitter, but her current mood...

During breakfast, she ate extremely slowly.

She had a lot of work to do at her company. She had gotten up so early in the morning to get to work earlier, but just for breakfast, she and Watt Bennet took an hour and a half to finish.

She was waiting, but in the end, she waited for nothing.

After breakfast, Watt Bennet drove her to Royal Delight.

Upon reaching the company building and just before Summer Sutton got out of the car, he stopped her, "What time do you get off work tonight?"

"I’m not sure yet," Summer Sutton replied.

"Are you working at the company today, or are you going to the program site? Is the place dangerous?" Watt Bennet asked again.

"At the company," Summer Sutton replied.

Watt Bennet seemed relieved and echoed her words, "That’s good."

There were too many things Watt Bennet was concerned about regarding Summer Sutton. As long as he didn’t see her for a day, he couldn’t help but worry about her.

Wondering what she was doing, where she went, if her work environment was dangerous, if she would hurt herself again, and so on.

"If there’s nothing else, I’m going in," Summer Sutton glanced at him, turned to leave, but Watt Bennet suddenly called out, "I’ll pick you up in the evening!"

Fearing she might not hear, he said it hastily, almost shouting.

Summer Sutton did not respond to his words, turned her head, and walked briskly toward the office building.

Watt Bennet watched her leave before he drove to his own company.

On one of the floors of Royal Delight Tower, Lorraine Hughes stood silently watching this scene from the floor-to-ceiling window, her slender fingers gripping the cup in her hand tightly.

She just couldn’t understand why Watt Bennet was so persistent about Summer Sutton?

On that night, Watt Bennet clearly believed her. Lorraine Hughes had thought that after that night, Watt Bennet’s attitude toward her would improve.

But what she did not expect was that, for Watt Bennet, it was as if that night had never happened. When he saw her, he still didn’t look at her directly, and in the days after the incident, he showed no concern for her at all.

Such behavior from Watt Bennet plunged Lorraine Hughes’s mood to the lowest point.

...

Summer Sutton spent the entire day working at the company today.

Her usual clock-out time was around five in the afternoon. When it was time to leave, many reporters were still gathered around the vicinity of the company.

It didn’t really have much to do with her. For a company like Royal Delight, teeming with celebrities, it’s completely normal for a bunch of reporters to lurk and capture celebrity moments every day.

Summer Sutton just happened to catch the spotlight lately.

Perhaps fearing she might have left work early, Watt Bennet showed up outside the company building at four-thirty today.

When he arrived, all the reporters pointed their cameras at him simultaneously.

This time, reporters had already drafted their headlines in advance.

Most of the reporters had similar headlines, calling it "Shining Sky Group President Watt Bennet’s Creative Courtship Story."

How could Summer Sutton know that the media would come up with such wild ideas?

She worked normally at the company, then worked overtime for an hour, appearing outside the company building at six o’clock.

Today, Watt Bennet came with flowers, and just as Summer Sutton was about to approach, he opened the car door.

The car was filled with colorful roses arranged in the shape of a heart, perfectly matching the title the reporters gave to today’s story.

Creative Courtship.
