Chapter 1184: Chapter 1184: Won’t Give Up

"Someone fell down, and you’re not sending anyone to look for them?" Shouting furiously at the crowd, he rushed to the edge of the cliff, peering down but seeing nothing. He then sprinted towards the path leading down the cliff.

This was his first time here, completely unfamiliar with the surroundings.

He didn’t actually know where the downhill path was, so he blindly searched in one direction after another.

The rest of the filming crew was notified, and they all rushed over.

A crew of dozens of people, led by the villagers, collectively headed down the mountain.

The path down was not easy to traverse, especially more slippery after the rain.

When the show began filming in the morning, the weather was fine, but it started raining before noon.

An eight-year-old child had fallen down too. Such a high cliff, not to mention a child, even Summer Sutton as an adult would have very little chance of survival.

On the way to search for the two people, everyone in the film crew was on edge.

Summer Sutton had been given special attention by Manuel Ink. Now with this happening, if Manuel found out, no one could bear the responsibility.

Throughout the search, everyone in the group was doing their utmost.

But after searching down the mountain over and over again, they didn’t catch a glimpse of Summer Sutton.

Joy was, however, carried back to the village by a villager who said they found him at the bottom of the mountain. At the time, he only saw the child alone and didn’t see anyone else.

Joy’s injury status was still unknown. After being brought back, he was immediately sent by the crew’s car to a city hospital.

The others continued searching for Summer Sutton.

The morning passed with no news whatsoever.

Gradually, as the search dragged on, everyone’s heart sank.

The mountain where they were filming was deep in the wilderness, the forest environment dangerous, with many wild beasts.

Not even a shadow in sight, could it be...

Just the thought sent shivers through the crew.

Unable to imagine such consequences, the group searched even harder.

No matter what, there should at least be some evidence before reaching a conclusion, right?

But by the afternoon, nearing nightfall, not a trace of Summer Sutton had been found.

The night was closing in, making it impossible to continue searching.

The crew, having no other options, prepared to wrap up, except for Watt Bennet who refused to give up.

"We haven’t found the person. Why are we stopping work? If a guest has an accident, it’s an incident, but if a crew member does, it doesn’t count? Are the staff’s lives not lives?" He barked at the group in frustration.

No one was unconcerned about Summer Sutton, but as darkness fell and without any lights on the mountain, it was simply impossible.

"Mr. Bennet, maybe we should resume tomorrow? Staying here tonight isn’t going to help," a staff member timidly suggested.

Watt behaved as if he hadn’t heard and continued searching on his own along the mountain path.

Inch by inch, he turned over the grass near the spot where Summer Sutton had fallen.

The sky grew darker, compounded by today’s rain, making it seem even gloomier.

Watt’s clothes were soaked, covered in rain and mud, looking as disheveled as could be.

It was hard to reconcile the current him with the usually elegant and sharp man, but he seemed not to notice and kept searching.

When night fell completely and everyone else had left, Watt, out of options, planned to return to the village for a torch and come back when suddenly there was a faint rustling sound above.
