Chapter 195: Chapter 195: So Satisfied

Looking at the items before him, Ethan Yardley once again had the feeling he was being supported by his younger sister.

’Where exactly have I been going wrong, despite trying so hard?’

’How did it end up being my little sister taking care of me all the time?’

A Small Guild Residence Certificate, an All-World Communication Phone, ten Exorcism Talismans, a black cloak, and a pumpkin carriage.

These were all things he had never seen before.

The first two were even more outrageous. ’How can someone just casually get their hands on these things?’

’My sister is more useful than a genie in a bottle.’

’Pah!’

’She’s more effective than a Bodhisattva in a temple.’

’Good thing I’m only making these comparisons in my head. My sister will never know.’

Tiberius noticed the items on the coffee table the moment he entered the living room. "Tsk, you actually got one of these phones? C’mon, add me as a friend. That way, we can stay in touch even if we end up in different places."

After hanging up on her brother, Faye Yardley sent the remaining All-World Communication Phone to Zachary Pierce.

Zachary Pierce’s congratulatory message was as concise as ever. Eleanor Jonas also sent her congratulations, along with a question asking if Faye could disclose the source of the mount.

There was nothing to hide. She had already explained it once in the group chat, so she sent the explanation to Eleanor Jonas.

It was indeed a unique questline, one that involved many coincidences. Besides, she had no idea what Dungeon 2 was like for other people, mainly because she’d never heard anyone talk about it.

’Speaking of which, I still have an Invitation Card for Dungeon 2. Should I take this chance to put the word out and sell it?’

’Maybe sell it to Logan Langdon? He definitely wouldn’t believe I got it from a unique questline. After all, it’s a Dungeon. In his mind, Dungeon content is repeatable.’

The thought had barely formed before she extinguished it herself. ’No, there’s no need. Logan Langdon would never trade anything truly valuable for it, and I’m not lacking any ordinary items.’

Zephyr Sterling, on the other hand, sent a special message asking if the Exorcism Talismans he had drawn were effective.

After she gave him an affirmative reply, Zephyr Sterling said he would try making other types of talismans.

The Skeletal Warhorse circled around and returned to Faye Yardley’s side, nuzzling against her. Faye patted its head. "Bella, we’re on the ocean, and the raft is only so big. It’s probably too small if you want to run."

But Bella just shook its head and motioned for her to climb onto its back. Once Faye was seated securely, its hooves beat a rapid tattoo as it leaped directly off the raft.

Faye’s heart leaped into her throat, but the Skeletal Warhorse landed steadily on the surface of the sea. It circled the raft twice at a brisk pace before leaping back aboard.

Faye patted the Skeletal Warhorse’s head, unable to hold back her praise. "So cool! Bella, your ability to gallop over the waves is just incredible!"

She leaped off its back, her spirits soaring.

"I’ll have to get you a proper stable. By the way, what do you eat to maintain your body’s energy?"

’Seriously, I never fed it anything in the Dungeon. It only leveled up because Momo gave it something to eat.’

’But no matter what kind of energy-based lifeform it is, it must need some kind of intake to sustain itself.’

Willow Yardley spoke up from the side, "You could have Eamon try planting some fodder."

"Grass?"

Bella nodded its head, having apparently understood.

Faye let out a short laugh. "That makes sense. What else would a horse eat but grass?"

’Come to think of it, I got some red grass seeds from a chest before entering the Dungeon. I don’t know if red grass has any other special uses, but since ’grass’ is in the name, it must be a type of grass, right?’

Just then, Eamon, who had run over after seeing the horse outside, heard them and said, "The red grass I planted a few days ago can tide it over, but it would be best to find a variety specifically for it."

"Do you know what it likes to eat?"

Eamon said matter-of-factly, "I don’t know. It’s up to you, Sister, to decide how you want to raise it."

’So, what it eats will determine what abilities it has?’

’What a magical species.’

’What would happen if I fed it leaves from the Magic Seed?’

Once the thought appeared, Faye couldn’t stop thinking about it.

’Oh well, the Magic Plant isn’t very big right now. I’ll wait a bit longer. I’ll harvest some leaves once its vines have grown more.’

’For now, red grass will have to do.’

’By the way, what other effects does red grass have?’

"Eamon, take me to harvest some. Willow, see if there are any stables for trade. If not, we’ll have to use a makeshift grass shelter for now. Can you help get a place ready for Bella?"

Both of them agreed. Eamon gazed at the Skeletal Warhorse, his eyes filled with adoration and longing. Although he wasn’t even as tall as the horse’s leg, his dream of becoming a knight was ever-present.

In the planting room, only two pots contained red grass. Its flowers were single-petaled and a vibrant red, growing in small, beautiful clusters.

It turned out the red flowers of the red grass had a hemostatic effect.

It also had another ability that Faye found quite contradictory: while the flowers could stop bleeding, the roots could dispel heat and improve circulation.

The Skeletal Horse had no flesh or blood. To be honest, Faye was a little curious about how it could even eat, let alone digest anything.

In fact, the public channel had already been blowing up for a while and was still flooded with messages, one after another. No one had calmed down from the shock and excitement of the mount system’s activation.

[Holy crap, the top player in our District 101 is so freaking awesome. She really lives up to the number one title! I’m still in awe. Hey, boss, I’ll warm your bed for you!]

[Hah, why don’t you go take a look in the mirror? With that ugly mug of yours, you want to warm the top player’s bed? You’re not even worthy of carrying her shoes.]

[The big boss would definitely prefer a sweet-smelling girl like me.]

[Enough talk, aren’t you guys curious about how to get a mount? And how big does a raft need to be to raise a horse?]

[The announcement said it’s a Skeletal Warhorse. It’s made of bone, does it even need to eat? I bet you don’t have to raise it at all. The system can handle everything.]

[You guys got nothing better to do? Why waste time worrying about the top player? You should be fishing for chests right now!]

[Is it possible to fish up a horse to be my mount?]

[What are you all so excited about? We’re not on land. We’re on the sea. Can a horse even run here? And what’s the use even if it can?]

[Party pooper. So lame.]

[Can’t a guy have a dream? We’re already in this situation, why are you still trying to be so pragmatic?]

[It’s always good to have something nice to look forward to. By the way, where can you get a mount? I want to get one for my kid.]

You could always see people of all different personalities on the public channel, but none of it had much to do with Faye Yardley. At that moment, after feeding some red grass to the Skeletal Horse, she headed to the dining room.

She hadn’t had a proper meal in days and was really craving one.

At this point, anything would have tasted delicious, and with the bonus of Willow Yardley’s cooking skills, it was bound to be even better.

A mixed fish platter, scallion-fried eggs, old duck and bamboo shoot soup, and shiitake mushrooms with bok choy.

Although it was called "mixed fish," it was actually composed of different kinds of boneless Fish Meat chunks. Each piece was a perfect mouthful, making it very satisfying to eat.

Three dishes and a soup, and she was basically the only one eating. Willow Yardley was, at most, just keeping her company.

After finishing her meal, Faye Yardley leaned back in her dining chair and patted her stomach. "Ah, that was so satisfying."
