Chapter 500: Chapter 500 - Conquest(Part 5)

Point-of-View: Celestia Levina

"Yeah, that’s right. All the corrupt Nobles and asshole Adventurers, we’ll kill all of them," I remarked with a smile.

"Then, we...we’ll finally be free of their oppression?" freēwebnovel.com

"I don’t know, it seems too good to be true." free𝑤ebnovel.com

"A-Also, uh, aren’t you a wanted criminal? Can we really trust you?"

I hadn’t run into any Adventurers or Nobles in a while, so I decided to take a moment to let some of the people know what was happening, assuring them that they were in absolutely no danger, so long as they don’t attack us.

"I am, but it was the Nobles who decided to make me a criminal, they didn’t like that I, as a Commoner, rose to S-Rank, so they framed and outlawed me. That’s why my friends and I intend to turn this into a place where no one else will ever have to go through anything like that again. Go on and let everyone else know. This city will soon be a much more peaceful place, where everyone will be treated fairly," I responded, before turning my gaze across as I spotted a couple of Adventurers charging this way, unleashing a barrage of fireballs and wind blasts.

I swiftly flew over the civilians, landing behind them before firing out a powerful burst of black lightning, blowing the incoming attacks away. Hm, they’re both A-Ranks, this isn’t going to be much of a challenge.

"Filthy Commoners, how dare you turn against us?"

"Seems we’ll need to purge the city of this filth after we eliminate the assailants."

"Get out of here, quickly. I’ll make sure they don’t attack you while you run," I instructed the civilians, who didn’t hesitate to retreat and get away.

"You’ll regret this, bitch. Once we kill you, we’ll mount your head on a spike, along with everyone else you’re with, you-...," Began the one with Fire Magic, before I cut him off as I fired out a rapid bolt of lightning, blasting a hole straight through the middle of his face.

"As empty as that threat was, I won’t tolerate anyone threatening my boyfriend, least of all pieces of shit like you," I growled venomously, before swiftly flying up as the Wind Magic user backed away while firing out a volley of wind blasts at me.

I evaded the blasts, before unleashing a rapid, crackling streak of lightning down towards him, an agonized yell of pain ringing out as I struck his right shoulder, his body stiffening up sharply as I electrocuted him, his shoulder scorched black.

I swooped down at full speed as he stumbled back, his eyes widening in alarm as he began to raise his hands and charge up a swirling mass of wind, but he was too slow, as I spun across rapidly as I closed in, my left blade hitting the top of his head before he could react and slicing right through, splitting his skull open and killing him instantly...

"There you are. I’ve been looking for you," I remarked, as I climbed in through a window.

I just got done killing the corrupt Nobles in positions of power, also cutting down a number of Adventurers along the way. And now, I came to find someone who’s bound to be a crucial part of the next phase of our plan.

"Hm? Oh, it’s you...thought you were dead," He muttered, glancing at me before lazily rolling across his bed as he added, "So, why’d you sneak in my window? And what’s with all the commotion outside?"

"You really do things at your own pace, huh? Tell me, how would you feel if all the corrupt Nobles in this city were killed?"

"That’d be nice...," He sighed wistfully, as he stared up at the ceiling.

Celt Sedint, a B-Ranked Adventurer with Earth Magic. He was pretty young, I think he’s around sixteen or seventeen, and he was immensely powerful. He had messy black hair that was pushed back, light brown eyes, a slightly dark complexion, and he was of about average height and build.

"What if I told you that was happening right now?"

"I’d say I need to wake up, because that’d be way too nice of a dream."

His knack for Magic is incredible, he mastered his Earth Magic ridiculously quickly, but fighting isn’t his strong suit. Monsters freak him out, so despite his power, he isn’t suited to being an Adventurer.

He’s a Commoner, but he likely has Noble blood in his veins, given his power. He’s been put through a lot by many of the Adventurers in this city, I’d be surprised if he didn’t hate them from the bottom of his heart.

"Alright, let me update you on the situation. I teamed up with a couple of Unique Monsters, they’re helping me overthrow the city. I’ve already killed the Nobles who hold the most power in the city, and I’m sure my two comrades must have killed all, or at least most, of the S-Ranks in the city.

After we take over, we’ll have to put measures in to safeguard the city, and we’re going to need your help to pull that. I know working with Unique Monsters doesn’t sound like a great plan, but they’re trustworthy, I have no doubt whatsoever in saying that, so-..."

"Okay, I’m in. Just so long as I don’t have to fight."

"Huh? Just like that? Not that I’m complaining, but I figured I’d need to work a lot harder to convince you," I responded in bemusement.

"Please...if it means I no longer have to deal with those assholes, I’d work with anyone," He stated without hesitation, a deeply spiteful look on his face as he sat up and met my gaze.

Okay, wow, his hatred runs a lot deeper than I would’ve assumed.

"Uh, okay, great! And yeah, don’t worry, we aren’t going to ask you to fight, we’ve got that part covered. Still, what we want you to do won’t be easy...we need you to create large walls with your Earth Magic all around the region surrounding the city, which’ll span several dozen kilometers. Think you can do that?"

"Yeah, sure," He replied with a thumbs up.

Huh. Really didn’t expect this to be so easy.
