"My name is Werd Greff, and I-...," Began the Adventurer.
"Yeah, no offense, but I really don’t care. You’re one of our targets, so let’s skip the introductions and just cut straight to the part where I kill you," I interrupted, before sending my tails shooting out towards him.
He swiftly fired out a couple of bolts of lightning, deflecting my tails away, before my eyes widened in surprise as he shot towards me...huh, an Elemental Magic user who attacks at close-range, that’s supposed to be pretty unusual.
Celes did so, but she was an exception, by her own admission. Well, this guy has Lightning Magic too, just like she did, wonder if that has something to do with it? I suppose it doesn’t really matter...either way, he’s going to die before much longer.
He formed a blade of lightning in his right hand as he closed in, driving it towards my chest, before his eyes widened in surprise as I snapped Magic Eater around his hand, devouring the blade of lightning before I whipped my left arm across.
He sprang back in alarm, a shallow, diagonal gash appearing across his torso as the end of my blade slicing through his skin.
"That’s some incredible speed and reaction time you’ve got...but I won’t fall so easily!" He exclaimed, before firing out a pair of rapid lightning bolts straight towards me.
I flew up with a swift flap of my wings, evading the bolts before swooping down towards him. I shut my eyes as he sprang back and unleashed a bright, blinding electric flash, sharpening my other senses and locking on before whipping my left arm across as I closed in, slicing through his right side and slipping past him, before spinning around and opening my eyes, firing out a roaring blast of blue flames at him.
He leapt out of the way, crying out sharply as my flames grazed his feet, quickly kicking off his boots before the flames could spread, before raising his hand firing out a devastating, drilling beam of concentrated lightning towards me.
I swallowed it up with Magic Eater as I shot towards him, before vaporizing my venom in my mouth and firing out a poison cloud as I closed in on him, the cloud billowing out and engulfing him.
He let out a sharp gasp as he inhaled some of it, before rolling out of the way as I drove one of my blades down towards him, grazing his left bicep as he narrowly got out of the way, springing back onto his feet to my left and unleashing a fierce blast of lightning towards me.
I swallowed it up with Magic Eater, before a startled yell rang out as I whipped one of my tails across and struck his heels from behind, knocking him over.
As his back hit the floor with a thud, I began to race towards him before halting and springing back as a devastating eruption of lightning burst out around him, charred black streaks appearing across the floor around him before he shakily got back onto his feet, coughing out blood as my poison coursed through him.
"Damn, you’re crazy strong...I may well end up dying here, but I’m having way too much fun to care!" He cackled gleefully, before firing out several crackling streaks of lightning towards me.
I weaved through the air to evade them, keeping a close eye as they danced and crackled unpredictably...it’s just like Arucei and Celes said, he’s a total battle junkie.
But it’s not just that he likes fighting strong opponents, he also enjoys tormenting those weaker than him. If it was just the former, I’d have considered sparing him...but he’s just a killer for the fun of it, all he’s after is an adrenaline rush and thrill, and he’ll stoop to any level to get it.
As I evaded the lightning, I zipped down towards him as the attacks began to peter out, he began to aim at me with his right hand, but he was too slow, as I sliced through his right bicep before landing behind him, his arm falling off and hitting the floor with a thud.
He spun around with a gleam in his eyes as he charged up lightning in his left hand, before I sent one of my tails shooting out and pierced through his wrist, yanking his right arm straight up, the charged up lightning shooting towards the ceiling, a sharp crackle ringing out upon impact, before I violently twisted my tail across and tore through his wrist, ripping his hand off.
He began to open his mouth, sparks of lightning crackling around his jaws, before fading as I lunged at him and pierced his throat and heart with my blades, a shudder of agony erupting across his body, before I pulled my blades back out with a sharp twist.
A choked gasp rang out as blood poured out of the opening in his neck, before he fell over and hit the floor with a thud, bleeding out rapidly. I stared as he began to fade, feeling unsettled, a content look on his face.

It didn’t take long before he died, what with his heart torn apart and his throat ripped open. He slumped against the floor, a puddle of his own blood surrounding him.
Alright, time to head out. I wonder if everything’s going okay with Celes and Arucei? They’re both more than strong enough to take care of themselves, but still, I can’t help but feel a tiny bit concerned.
I think it’s safe to say that I’ve dealt a serious blow to the city’s fighting force, but there’s still plenty more to do. Killing the Nobles and their supporters won’t do much if the rest of the citizens vehemently oppose us, after all. I should go spread the word a bit more, give ourselves the best chance of success...
