Chapter 892: Chapter 892: He Was Aware

[The Law of Arrogance has been lost...]

The message flashed in the eyes of the tall, grey-haired man.

Ralph, standing tall with an imposing aura, glanced at the screen that flashed in front of his face before looking away.

His piercing yellow eyes would let some know that he was pressured by an insane amount of boredom.

Ralph had his hands folded against his chest, causing his biceps and pectoral muscles to bulge.

The thin layer of black clothing could do absolutely nothing to hide the magnificence of his humanoid body.

With his silver grey hair brushed to the back and his eyes staring ahead, Ralph seemed to be waiting patiently for something or someone.

On his shoulders was the white fluffy fur cloak made from one of his kinsmen. It added to his barbaric yet regal disposition.

Standing inside this room, Ralph was not alone though. He was with two other Primordials, both of whom were in their humanoid forms.

Ralph was the only one standing still, the other two were doing something else.

The one in front of him for example was tapping away at the bunch of holographic magic screens while adjusting something.

It was a large man with smooth white skin. His skin was really white and smooth like the surface of a marble floor.

Shooting out of his forehead was a long spiral horn that glowed constantly as though it was breathing.

The large man’s whole presence reeked of powerful magic because that was what he was.

"I take it the Badger is gone," Said the large man with the single horn, still backing Ralph.

Ralph couldn’t see the man’s face, but knowing him, he assumed that this horned man was also wearing a disinterested expression.

"As it should be, Narwhal," said another person.

The person who had just talked was resting his back on the wall to Ralph’s left. He wore a pitch-black robe with a hood that covered most of his face. frёeweɓηovel.coɱ

One of his hands was up in front of him as he played with his fingers. Coiling and dancing around his fingers was a clump of dark essence.

The dark essence manifested as a wisp of shadows, constantly changing shape and flickering around the gaps in between his pale fingers.

Ralph looked at the younger man, clad in dark robes. As powerful as his vision was, his sight could not bypass the darkness that shrouded the other’s face.

"Primordial Raven," Ralph spoke, gaining the attention of the clocked figure.

The number of Primordials was getting too much and at some point, everyone started calling each other by their true identity or title, rather than by their name.

"What’s the difference between you and the Primordial Bat?" Ralph asked.

It was one of those rare times that he started a conversation out of curiosity and not because he was planning on killing someone.

"Oh," the Primordial Raven, who was the clocked figure, seemed to have heard something very interesting as it kicked back and left the wall, walking up to Ralph.

The horned man at the front suddenly turned around, exposing two crescent-shaped eyes with streams of runic letters flowing inside them.

The Primordial Raven walked to Ralph and stood in front of him while maintaining a certain distance.

This was the Primordial Wolf after all, one of the oldest Primordials in the league and also one of the strongest.

The Primordial Raven might seem edgy but he had common sense and knew how to give respect to whom it was due.

"Why did you want to know?" The Primordial Raven asked.

"Just curious," Ralph said, looking down at the much shorter colleague of his.

"Hmmm, how do I explain this in a way that you will understand," The Primordial Raven began, bringing his hand up to rub his chin.

As soon as his fingers passed the boundaries of his hood, it sank into the shadowy darkness that covered the face.

"Think of Darkness as it is, the opposite of light. Darkness is what will always remain no matter what.

When all is said and done, everything will be dark.

That is if whatever is happening now ever comes to a conclusion.

But you can say that Darkness is the mesh that gives many things purpose. It is not evil, it is not good, it’s just dark.

Night.

Night is just Darkness with extra meaning.

Darkness doesn’t inherently have any meaning besides being the absence of illuminating and radiant light.

Night on the other hand has its own purpose and direction. There is a reason it exists.

As you know, some laws are derivatives of other laws, so it is with Darkness and Night.

Time and space may be derivatives of Gravity, and gravity might be a derivative of mass, and mass being a derivative of matter, and so on and so forth.

Night is derived from Darkness, it doesn’t mean one is better or stronger than the other. It just means that there would never be a Night if there were no Darkness.

Night is also quite local, it is not the same everywhere.

Night on some worlds happens at different times under different circumstances.

Darkness on the other hand doesn’t obey the rules of locality.

It is the same everywhere in the universe."

"Hmm," Ralph nodded his head, "Makes sense. So, you don’t have any advantage over the Night?" He asked.

The clocked figure sighed. He brought down his hand from scratching his chin and rubbed his two hands together.

Particles of black dust began to flow out of the gaps between his palms. The particles floated in a clear pattern, forming a stream that revolved around him.

"I’m pretty sure that all Laws have their own disadvantages and advantages.

For me, I think my advantage is that in the long run, I have fewer restrictions. However, my powers are vague and not as tangible as Night’s.

There are things the Primordial Bat can do that I can’t do, and there are things I can do that the Primordial Bat cannot do.

It’s a shame though, I wonder what got into her that she was willing to support the Primordial Badger," Said the Primordial Raven.

It sounded like he had lost one of his best competitors before the game had even begun.

Hearing that last sentence, Ralph turned away from the cloaked figure. His thick and muscular neck was exposed, embraced by the white fur of his wolf pelt.

He looked at the magic screen that the Primordial Narwhal was operating.

What was being shown was a vast interstellar battlefield with shattered arkships and crashed arkworlds floating around.

The frozen dead bodies of multiple badgers and bats were drifting through the empty space, casually bumping into the hulls of work-down magic shuttles. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com

In the distance, the radiance of the Forbidden Star illuminated this void field, making it known just how brutal this battle had been.

Ralph narrowed his eyes at the screen, "It happened because the All-King allowed it to happen.

The Primordial Badger was arrogant, sure, but he lacked intelligence.

His arrogance clouded his mind and caused him to overestimate his own abilities.

How?

How did he possibly think that he could fight against the All-King, the source of his main power?

How did he think he could challenge a god, even as a mortal?

The All-King allowed it, for reasons best known to him.

We cannot say that the All-King did not know this was going to happen. I have been with the All-King much longer than you all. I have followed his orders and slain his enemies.

I can say for sure that the number of enemies the All-King doesn’t know about can be counted on one hand.

If they are more than that, then those enemies have to be the most exceptional creatures in the Known Universe.

Knowing that, the Primordial Badger had to be the loudest and crudest threat ever.

When the Primordial Badger first appeared, the All-King was aware.

When he became the threat that he was, the All-King was aware.

He just did not say anything."

When Ralph spoke, his eyes shone with admiration and reverence. One could say that he was exaggerating some things.

But if they actually checked, Ralph was underestimating the All-King.

In fact, he was not doing justice to the description of Kael’s schemes. It was like trying to describe four-dimensional chess.

[The Primordial Bat has perished. The Law of Night has disappeared...]

The alert came without a surprise.

Ralph, the Primordial Raven, and the Primordial Narwhal saw the message and nodded.

Not just them, everyone in the whole Alphaverse received the message. It was a signal that the Primordials were not so overpowered.

They could be killed if they crossed boundaries.

This was the first time a Primordial from the league of Primordials died because of his transgressions.

But most of all, it also sent a very important message. For those below who had high aspirations and ambitions, there was hope.

A new Badger Primordial would have to be chosen soon. And if this could happen to the badger race, it could happen to the other races.

It was inevitable.

"His fate was sealed when he decided to be like the All-King. He dared to create a universe of his own.

He tried to outshine his master.

So stupid..." Ralph said with a cold sigh.
