Chapter 891: Chapter 891: Arrogant Traitor
Five months later.
Time seems to be passing so slowly these days.
There were times in the past when decades and centuries would pass in the blink of an eye, and many long-lived creatures wouldn’t even notice.
Now, time seemed to drag on endlessly forever and ever. Each day felt like its own year with so much happening all at once.
A week hardly passed without someone hearing about the lions or one of their vassals doing something crazy.
*CLANK!*
Ozia clenched his left fist, allowing the metallic surface of the prosthetic arm to clash against each other.
*BAM!*
His fist clashed with the furry face of the Primordial Badger, sending him flying and crashing through multiple planets.
Ozia’s face was cold; some strands of his dreadlocks came over his face, creating shadows over his rune-lit eyes.
The Primordial Badger, having just been on the receiving end of such a powerful hit, was blasted through the crust of a planet.
He didn’t stop until he was halfway through and that on its own was simply due to how dense and strong the materials making up the planet were.
"What kind of animal are you?" Ozia asked, flexing his metallic finger and letting out a deep, guttural, and beastly growl.
He waved his hands, and thousands of magic runes appeared around him. Time began to warp around his fingers and toes as he chased after the Primordial Badger.
*BOOM!*
Ozia had not gone too far when another loud bang was heard as another being crashed straight into the planet’s surface.
Unlike the Primordial Badger, this one did not smash in but rather rolled on the rocky surface of the continents before stopping.
"TRAITOR!"
A roar that was filled with the highest expression of disgust and disdain was heard. The voice was so loud that the shockwaves that arrived first shattered the ground just before the entity arrived.
An entity clad in blue light flashed through the sky. Blue hair, blue eyes, tall, and possessing a frightening aura.
It was Blues, the Primordial Dog. Blues was not gentle this time. His face was ugly as though he had just met the killers of his parents.
Blues stopped mid-air, watching his own opponent try to get up from the ground.
"It was a mistake! It wouldn’t happen again..." The figure said as she stood up from the ground with her eyes wide open.
This was someone with whom everyone was actually familiar.
The Primordial Bat of Night. The same Primordial that Kael had defeated with one slap during the period of the Consort Trials.
What could she have done to be put in this situation?
Blues was not hearing anything, he was unwilling. Just acknowledging that this Primordial Bat was still alive left a seriously bad taste in his mouth.
Blue eyes which were glowing blue before suddenly turned into a bright red shade. Then, without warning, two hot red beams burst out of Blue’s eyes.
Strands of his hair were blasted back and he clenched his fists by his sides. He strengthened his neck and shouted with rage, unleashing the full power of his laser beam at the Primordial Bat.
*BAM!*
A tangible veil of Night manifested around her as she held up her arms to defend herself.
The two red beams clashed fiercely into the dome of the night essence, sending powerful shockwaves through the entire planet.
The Primordial Bat was not able to defend herself. She wasn’t fighting against the Law of Loyalty on its own, she was fighting against a whole group of laws that Blues had access to.
Fighting Blues, as many had found out, and as many would continue to find out, was like fighting a much weaker and less dominant version of the All-King.
In fact, since Blues’ transformation, this was the first time ever that his heart held such incredible amounts of killing intent.
He had trained and lived amongst the other dogs of the Hegemony. He had walked with Shuri and sparred with the Master of Wolfkind.
Overcoming one difficult test after the other. Today, however, was not a test.
This was a real thing. Someone tried to overthrow the Lion Hegemony.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaa!"
Down at the center of the planet’s crust, the Primordial Badger screamed at the top of his lungs. His black and white fur turned into white and black shades.
The white replaced the black fur that covered him the most, while the new black fur replaced the three white fur stripes on his back.
The Primordial raised his head and roared defiantly at Ozia, bearing his sharp fangs. He grew in size and strength, assuming a height of tens of meters.
He tightened his muscles, crouched, and leaped into the dusty air above him, shooting straight for the first son of the All-King.
"I deserve it all!" The Primordial Badger raged, his heart filled with genuine desire for justice. freёwebnovel.com
He could not take it any longer, he could not endure being the subordinate of another person. It just wasn’t his nature.
He felt like he was in a matrix or a simulation of some sort, a place where he was only meant to do as he was told.
And it vexed him greatly.
"INSOLENT!"
*BOOM!*
Ozia’s wide open metallic palm slapped down, his fingers curled in a clawing motion and he pushed.
The head of the Primordial Badger smashed into his palm, not moving him in the slightest. Ozia was unfazed except for the expression of cold wrath on his face.
His curled fingers grabbed the head of the Primordial Badger, the sound of the latter’s skull cracking under the immense pressure reached his ears.
Ozia snorted, his rune-lit eyes staring at the struggling Primordial in his grasp. How the mighty had fallen, Ozia thought.
"And to think I had such high expectations for you," Ozia said, still wearing that frighteningly cold expression on his face.
Suddenly, he moved. frёeωebɳovel.com
His body blurred, moving so fast that the rising continental plates and land mass around him were shattered.
With Ozia’s metal arm grasping his face, the Primordial Badger was blasted through the whole planet.
On the other side, Ozia looked at the Primordial Badger, or what now remained of him.
His back was completely shaved off, gone. The white and black fur was drenched in dust-ridden blood and his tail was reduced to a little bump.
However, despite all this, his eyes burned fiercely with commitment. He truly lacked remorse for what he had done.
"Hehehe...just a little more time...and I would have succeeded..." The Primordial Badger said just as blood started to stream out of his nose and mouth.
Ozia narrowed his eyes, the Primordial Badger was right.
Just a little more time and he would have been able to do the same thing the All-King had done, create his own little universe.
It was scary to imagine a being who was not even an Immortal yet, someone who had only been a Primordial for seven months, was able to do such a thing.
He shouldn’t have. He couldn’t have even if he wanted to.
"My father appreciated your presence l, but he never trusted you. He always knew there would be bad eggs like you.
Sure, you may have almost succeeded, but you were caught right where he wanted, when he wanted, and at the very moment he wanted it to happen.
Do not think that even in death you have succeeded in causing the All-King to worry, because you didn’t.
You are nothing but a mere speck of worthless unforgivable dust in the grand design of His Majesty.
Tarnishing his schedule with your petty treason may not bother him, but it definitely bothers everyone else.
As mandated by the All-King, as he permitted. All traitors must be executed on sight!"
Ozia’s eyes shone with the light of a merciless king.
He had already received confirmation from his father before the treason even happened. But even if he did not, Ozia would not hesitate to eliminate this scoundrel.
This was the ultimate right of authority every lion had in the Alphaverse.
No matter who they were, even if they were a Primordial, as long as they were traitors, they were eliminated.
Treason against one lion was treason against all lions, it didn’t matter if the treason was caused by another lion too.
Accepting the fate that was coming, Ozia charged his arm. All the power that had been resting in the godly artifact of an arm was activated.
The black arm had its edges and gaps light up with white energy.
Ozia flexed his fingers and squeezed...
*BAM! SQUISH!*
The head of the Primordial Badger was crushed as Ozia closed his hand into a fist.
Brain matter and skull fragments flushed out of the gaps in between his fingers, submitting to the gravitational pressure and falling off.
"Humph!" Ozia snorted. He straightened his palm and waved his hand away, wiping the blood off the sleep black surface.
"Even Primordials can be replaced," Ozia muttered as he started hearing the noise coming from the battle between Blues and the Primordial Bat.
His mind drifted, wondering if the Badgers were bad vassals in general or if this was a one-time thing.
