Chapter 1113: Chapter 1113: Board of Directors

James Reed arrived home to find Ethan Seymour and Charlotte Reed already waiting at the front door.

Seeing them return, Charlotte hurriedly came over: "James, why did you go out so late?"

"Hayley went to see her mom, so I picked her up," James replied tactfully. However, Ethan wasn’t a fool—couldn’t he understand the insinuation?

It was Hayley causing trouble again.

"Ridiculous," Ethan muttered before angrily heading back inside.

Hayley also said nothing, dragging her heavy footsteps back to her room.

With no one else around, Charlotte then quietly asked: "What did the Cole Family say?"

"They didn’t say anything," James replied in a voice only they could hear, "Let’s just leave it for now."

Charlotte nodded in understanding; it wasn’t the right time for James to hastily divorce Hayley, or his reputation could suffer.

As long as the Cole Family stayed put, James couldn’t possibly be unable to handle Hayley, could he?

"You better get some sleep now." Charlotte said softly, filled with concern. It was Hayley’s fault for causing unnecessary chaos.

It caused James to lose his rest, that was really too much.

Meanwhile, James and Charlotte tidied up and went to rest. However, after all the commotion in the middle of the night, they were bound to have little energy for the day ahead.

Similarly, even though Emerie Wilson slept less, she was mentally alert and full of vigor.

Today, Benjamin Walton was officially joining Wilson Corporation, and of course, she had to accompany him. What if Benjamin was bullied?

When they arrived at Wilson Corporation, it was already ten o’clock, and the company was bustling.

Emerie followed Benjamin to his office. Upon entering, she was immediately displeased, touching the desk and complaining, "They haven’t cleaned your office at all these days."

"I’m leaving anyway, perhaps no one even thought to clean this abandoned office," Benjamin replied indifferently.

He glanced at the items he’d packed last week and placed in the corner; sure enough, they remained untouched, gathering dust.

"My father is really too much," Emerie complained indignantly. "They gave you an unused office, huh?"

"Once I officially join Wilson Corporation, it won’t be like this," Benjamin said with a smile.

At that moment, Benjamin’s phone rang. After listening to the caller, he replied, "Okay, I’m on my way."

He hung up and turned to Emerie, saying, "Emerie, I have to go now. My brother will likely be there too. If you don’t want to face him, you can wait for me here."

"No need," Emerie scoffed. "If they’re unkind, they can’t blame me for being unjust."

"Come on, Benjamin, I’m going with you. I refuse to believe you can’t establish yourself at Wilson Corporation despite having my shares!" Emerie proudly lifted her head. "I’m backing you up."

"Alright." Benjamin was obviously delighted, as he walked with Emerie to the conference room.

As soon as the door opened, Old Mrs. Wilson looked displeased at the entering Benjamin and Emerie, demanding, "Emerie, what is this commotion?"

"Dad, we should hold a meeting to properly discuss an issue," Emerie said, glancing around and sneering at Sophie Wilson beside Mason Wilson, "How can random people just walk into our company?"
