Chapter 1112: Chapter 1112: Not Trusting

"It’s alright." Frederick stopped Hazel Bennett and said, "They’re a couple. Are you worried James Reed would hurt her?"

"Domestic violence might exist, but it definitely wouldn’t happen to her."

After Frederick spoke, James Reed promised with a bitter smile, "Chairman Cole, Mom, don’t worry. I’ll treat Hayley well."

"Sorry for the disturbance. I’ll take Hayley home; she’s just a bit emotionally charged today." James Reed, enduring Frederick’s hits and bites, spoke to Hazel Bennett and Frederick, "I’ll talk to her properly when we get back."

Hazel Bennett, recalling Hayley Cole’s past temper, agreed with James Reed’s assertion.

However, she still reminded him, "Make sure to talk to her properly when you get home and don’t get agitated."

"I know, Mom, don’t worry." James Reed smiled politely and left carrying Hayley Cole.

"James, don’t be serious with her!" Hazel Bennett hurried out, still worried, advising James Reed.

"Mom, I understand." James Reed nodded kindly, then drove off with the still noisy Hayley Cole.

James Reed drove to a deserted roadside, confirmed there were no cameras, then turned around and gripped Hayley Cole’s neck, his cold voice squeezing out from between his teeth, "Are you done being crazy?"

Hayley Cole forcefully pried at James Reed’s fingers, but unfortunately, the strength difference was too great, and she couldn’t break free.

"Hayley Cole, I’m telling you, stay home and behave, or else I have ways to deal with you!" James Reed warned coldly.

"You’ve seen it, the Cole Family doesn’t care about you. Without them, what else do you have to rely on?" After speaking, James Reed loosened his grip, and Hayley Cole fell silent.

He was satisfied and drove back home.

To deal with such bluffers, he hardly needed to exert any effort.

Meanwhile, Frederick took Hazel Bennett to bed and then turned towards the study room, sensing Jason Cole had something to say.

As expected, Jason Cole was already waiting at the study door.

After entering behind Frederick and closing the door, Jason Cole asked, "Dad, do you really trust that James Reed?"

He felt James Reed was indeed insincere.

"I don’t trust him." Frederick replied plainly, leaving Jason Cole even more puzzled, "Then why..."

"Hayley Cole needs some lessons." Frederick said, "With James Reed tempering her personality, she’ll be much better in the future."

"But if Mom finds out, I’m worried she’ll be upset." Jason Cole still didn’t want Hazel Bennett to be distressed.

Frederick had considered everything thoroughly, "With the Cole Family’s backing, James Reed won’t dare to go too far. Once Hayley Cole learns her lesson, we’ll discuss further."

Jason understood his father’s intentions now and nodded, "Right, she was just bragging about Mom earlier."

Although they could bring Hayley Cole back now, doing so would mean she’d remain the same as before, never knowing gratitude.

"Alright, get some rest early." Frederick still worried about Hazel Bennett, as Hayley Cole’s antics likely disturbed her sleep.

He intended to spend more time with her.
