Chapter 1321: Chapter 1321: They Really Didn’t Think That Much

Aiden Taylor was a shrewd man, especially since the person standing in front of him was his son, whom he had watched grow up. How could he not see through his son’s thoughts?

"You know what I’m talking about." He was sharp, but his son wasn’t a fool either—the earlier conversation must have clued his son in.

"How could I know what you’re talking about? You didn’t give me the slightest hint." Ryan Taylor continued to feign ignorance with his dad. One person was his good buddy, the other his sister. He couldn’t betray them both.

Even though what they were doing was inappropriate, they were both adults and should be responsible for their actions.

If Aiden Taylor had any doubts before, now he was two hundred percent certain that Ryan was aware of the situation.

He never intended to give up on understanding the situation from his son, and now he was even more resolute. He grabbed his son by the hand and headed towards the living room.

"Don’t play dumb with me, because you’re not convincing at all." As he dragged his son to the living room, he turned his head to look at him, his face showing obvious displeasure.

"I’m not playing dumb, I really..."

Ryan instinctively denied it, but before he could finish, Aiden cut him off, "Tell me, why are Thomas and Evelyn pretending to be a couple?"

Seeing his son continue to feign ignorance, Aiden decided not to beat around the bush and directly asked his pressing question, confident that his son knew the whole story.

As Aiden asked, he had already pulled Ryan into the living room. Evelyn had run upstairs just a while ago, and Harriet was in the dining room chatting on the phone with Autumn; now it was just father and son in the living room.

He felt it was the opportune moment—the atmosphere was just right. He feared if he didn’t clarify things now, the situation might spiral out of control.

Given how clear his father had spoken, Ryan felt that if he continued playing dumb, he’d be showing too little regard for his father, yet he didn’t wish to expose his sister and buddy.

"Do you really think that if you don’t say anything, we wouldn’t know? Let me tell you, Thomas and Evelyn posing as a couple—we figured it out from the start, Thomas’s dad and I. Did you really think we parents are that clueless?" Aiden expressed some frustration at Ryan’s reluctance, being a bit irritated as he looked at his son and revealed what he knew.

This was something Ryan should have considered, but he hadn’t thought it through until now. Hearing his father say this, he was somewhat surprised.

"You and Uncle York figured it out?" It was something they should’ve perceived. These two fathers were no ordinary people, and it was the younger generation underestimating them.

"In your eyes, are we, your elders, particularly easy to fool?" Aiden noticed Ryan’s surprise, implying his fatherly role had somewhat failed—his own son couldn’t see his capability.

Upon hearing this, Ryan shook his head vigorously: "You’re not easy to fool at all. We juniors dare not easily deceive you. Thomas and Evelyn acted on impulse; they didn’t think it through. If..."

"What was just impulse?" Harriet, finishing her call, walked into the living room just in time to hear Ryan’s comment at the door.
