All the recruits were looking out the window, as the ship landed. They could see in front of the academy, numerous reporters and people waiting to meet them. Tan frowned when he saw people holding Kian signs.
This is his nightmare. Not only did he not take first place, but he has to watch as the entire galaxy fawns over Kian. Tan looked at Kian and saw that he looked completely uninterested.
He was using his terminal. Tan took a seat next to him and said:
"You don’t want to look at the people outside waiting for us?"
"I’m sure no one is waiting for me, so it wouldn’t change much."
Tan became angrier hearing that. It’s like Kian has no idea how lucky he is, to have become so popular. While the entire galaxy thinks he’s a bitch. And all because of Kian. For now, he just needs to make sure they make up.
He coughed and said:
"Kian, I wanted to talk to you about what happened."
Kian looked up from his terminal.
Tan said:
"I realized during the trial that I’ve been a bad friend. I took you, my best friend, for granted. I’m truly sorry. Will you please give me a chance? I don’t want to lose you."
Kian thought and said:
"I’m willing to give you a chance, but it will take some time, for us to be the way we were before."
Tan nodded and said:
"I understand."
Tan hugged Kian and said:
"Thank you."
Tan pulled back and smiled when he saw that Kian was smiling. This will be easier than he thought. Tan felt someone look at him and met Shaotian’s eyes. He felt his heartbeat quicken and smiled at him.
Minglan who was looking at them furrowed her brows. Kian followed Tan’s eyes and looked at Shaotian. He looked like his usual cold self, but Kian could tell it was more than that. His Gege is jealous.
When Shaotian met his eyes, he smiled shyly and Shoatian’s anger immediately faded. Shaotian looked at his Bunny’s flushed cheeks and smiled. His heartbeat quickened as he looked into Kian’s eyes.
Minglan walked to Shaotian and smiled.
"Da-Ge, you didn’t congratulate me for taking fourth place."
Kian’s eyes darkened. One of Minglan’s hands was on Shaotian’s chest and the other was on his nape.
Shaotian looked at her and said:
"Congratulation."
Minglan smiled and said:
"Thank you, Da-Ge. When is uncle coming back?"
Shaotian said:
"In a few days."
"I’ll tell father, so we can have dinner together."
Shaotian nodded and looked at Kian. He was looking at his terminal again. Shaotian pushed Minglan’s hands and left. Minglan looked at him go with a smile. She turned around and looked at Kian.
She was surprised when she saw that he was looking at her, with a mocking smile. Tan felt just as surprised as her. Minglan thought that only Shaotian was interested in Kian, but it was clear that he likes him too.
This is the second time that she’s seen him blush for him. Minglan walked to Kian, but before she could talk to him, Xiaoshu pulled him away. He stood at the front with Kian and walked out first when the doors opened.
As they walked out, Xiaoshu said:
"You really have a death wish."
"She does, if she thinks I’m going to let her put her hands on what’s mine."
Kian feels angrier than he’s ever been. That bitch had her hand all over his Gege. And she dared to call him Da-Ge. Xiaoshu looked at Kian and could tell, despite his cold eyes, he was upset.
He said:
"Once training starts, you’ll have him all to yourself."
Kian relaxed upon hearing that. He smiled at Xiaoshu and he smiled back.
They both took their luggage and walked to the entry. Kian felt glad to be at the top. He just wants to go to his penthouse and relax. That place is the epitome of luxury. He’s so excited.
Xiaoshu asked:
"Do you have someone to drive you home?"

"Are you staying at the dormitory?"
"I am, I live too far."
Kian said excitedly:
"How about you stay with me? There are four bedrooms, and we’ll be just next to Bei Academy. I have a driver who’ll drop us off every day and bring us back."
Xiaoshu looked at Kian hesitantly. It would make it easier, but he doesn’t want Kian to think he is like that user Tan. He genuinely likes Kian and he doesn’t want him to think he is after something else, besides friendship.
Kian asked:
"Will you? I would rather not stay alone."
Xiaoshu nodded and Kian smiled.
"Leave home half an hour early, so you can drop your suitcase at the penthouse, and we’ll continue to Bei Academy together on Monday."
Xiaoshu nodded and said:
"Thank you, it makes things so much easier."
"Of course."
When the gates were open, everyone started to shout questions to the recruit. Kian who could see his driver waving at him, kept walking with his head bowed. He could barely see with all the flash directed at him.
He felt stunned when he felt a man pull him into his embrace. Kian looked up and met Shaotian’s eyes. Shaotian looked ahead and no one dared to push him, or stand in his way. He walked Kian to his car and opened the door.
Kian got in and was surprised when Shaotian got in the car too. Kian checked to make sure Xiaoshu was out of the melee and saw that Yuan had helped him. He smiled. To think, he believed that Yuan was his Gege.
Shaotian followed Kian’s eyes and then looked at him again. Kian glanced at him and then looked out the window. The drive to the Trillias Tower was in silence. When Kian arrived, the driver pulled out his suitcase from the trunk.
Kian took it and thanked him. After letting him know his schedule, he went inside. He couldn’t understand why Shoatian was walking next to him, but didn’t say anything.
He went to the reception and said:
"Hello, I’m here to pick up my badge."
The alpha turned around and looked at Kian.
He immediately recognized him and said with a smile:
"You’re the cute omega Kian, who took first place."
Kian’s cheeks flushed and he nodded.
What kind of person says things like that to a stranger? When the alpha felt Shaotian’s dark pheromones, he swallowed and gave the badge to Kian. Kian looked between the two and then took the badge.
He went to the elevator and passed the badge. As soon as he did, he could push the button to his penthouse. Kian wanted the one at the very top, but it was taken. Kian looked at Shaotian and was surprised when he passed his badge too.
He pushed the very first button and Kian looked at him. The elevator door closed and everything finally made sense.
"You’re the owner of the Trillias Tower."
Shaotian met Kian’s eyes.
"I am."
Kian blinked.
That’s why it was so easy for him to buy the penthouse. There’s usually a long waiting list, and Kian was planning to stay at a hotel until he gets it. But his demand was accepted the very next day. They only asked for his I.D. and payment.
The oddest part is that they offered him a way to pay for the penthouse monthly. It would mean that even if he died at 300 years old, he wouldn’t be done paying. Kian almost tapped his forehead.
His Gege is unbelievable.

When he reached his penthouse, he saw that the doors opened in the living room. Kian walked out and looked around, amazed. Everything looked beautiful and expensive. Never in his life did he think he would live in a place like this. He smiled excitedly.
Shaotian walked out after Kian did, and looked at his happy face. This person should always be happy. Shaotian laced their hands and said:
"Come on, I’ll show you around."
Kian followed him in silence. The entire tour Kian was gaping. There was even an indoor swimming pool.
When they went back to the living room again, Shaotian asked:
"Do you like it?"
He felt that it was a redundant question when Kian looked at him with shiny eyes.
"I love it. I can’t believe this is my home."
In this world, his dream was just to own a home. His dream home was of course the Trillias Tower, but he knew he could never afford it. So now that he is free, of course, he’ll make all his dreams come true.
Shaotian caressed his cheek with a tender smile. As soon as he did, Kian felt odd. It was as though his spiritual power and Shoatian’s had fused somehow. Kian let out a breath, it felt hard to breathe.

Kian took a step back to break the connection and looked away.

Shaotian swallowed and walked to the elevator. His heart was pulsing out of his chest. As the doors closed, Kian looked up and met his eyes. Shaotian knew that Kian felt the same way as he did.
Kian let out a shaky breath when the doors closed. What the fuck was that? He feels itchy and shaky. He doesn’t like that feeling. He has to talk to Eden.
