Chapter 627: Chapter 627: You’re a Jinx

Daniel Hayes looked completely lost. "Hey, Chloe, what exactly are you trying to do? Just tell me."

Chloe Reed turned to look at him and pointed outside. She subconsciously opened her mouth to speak, but a second before any sound came out, she suddenly remembered she couldn’t talk anymore. Her expression went blank for a moment, and then she picked up her phone to type.

Find Sunny Reed.

After reading it, a confused look appeared on Daniel Hayes’s face. "But she hasn’t woken up yet."

Chloe Reed didn’t type anything else, just stared at him stubbornly.

"Alright, alright, I’ll take you there." Her stare made Daniel Hayes feel uneasy, so he gave in and led her in that direction.

Sunny Reed was in another hospital room. She was still unconscious, an oxygen mask on her face. She looked gaunt, her face ashen.

Chloe Reed stood by the bed, watching her coldly.

Daniel Hayes said, "She’s very weak, and her injuries made it even worse. If they hadn’t saved her in time, she might have died."

Chloe Reed didn’t react, just kept watching her coldly. After a long moment, she suddenly reached out and pressed down on the wound on Sunny Reed’s abdomen.

She applied pressure little by little, and Sunny Reed’s abdomen began to sink inward.

The wound split open, and fresh blood soaked through the gauze and her hospital gown.

Even in her unconscious state, Sunny Reed’s brow furrowed tightly, her face contorting in pain.

Chloe Reed didn’t let go. Instead, she pressed even harder on the wound.

More and more blood flowed out. Sunny Reed’s eyes shot open as she let out a pained, muffled groan.

Seeing this, Chloe Reed finally released her hand.

Her fingers were stained with blood. She let her arm hang, and droplets of blood from her fingertips fell to the floor, quickly forming a small pool.

She looked down on the agonized Sunny Reed, her expression even colder than before.

"Ugh..."

Sunny Reed curled up in pain, gasping for breath. Then she saw Chloe Reed standing by her bed.

Her eyes immediately widened in terror. "You... How are you not dead?!"

Daniel Hayes took a step forward. "Hey, watch your mouth! Do you have a death wish?"

Sunny Reed was in agony. A tearing pain radiated from her abdomen, and a cold sweat broke out on her skin.

"What do you want?"

She looked at them, weak and terrified.

He got straight to the point. "Where did you get that powder? Where’s the antidote?"

Hearing this, Sunny Reed’s pained expression froze for a second. Her gaze then shifted to Chloe Reed’s face, studying it carefully.

When she didn’t find anything out of the ordinary, her brow furrowed.

’This bitch isn’t dead, so why do they need the antidote?’

She thought back to what happened in the jungle. ’Could it be that Walker Grant is the one who’s dying?’

At this thought, she immediately started laughing. But the laughter made the wound in her abdomen throb with pain again, and her expression twisted in agony. For a moment, her face was a grotesque mask of torment and glee.

Seeing this, Daniel Hayes frowned. "I asked you a question. What’s with the theatrics?"

Sunny Reed closed her eyes in pain, trying to compose herself before asking, "Is Walker Grant dying? Ha... Haha, ugh... You’re the one who killed him!"

Her expression twisted as she looked at Chloe Reed. "All the misfortune that befalls those around you is your fault. Autumn Linton is dying, Walker Grant is dying, Iris Yates is missing, and that old hag Diana Sutton has lost her mind, ha... It’s all because of you, Chloe Reed. You’re a jinx!"
