"You want proof?" Juliet questioned back. "You seriously want proof? Look up there," Juliet pointed at the little object that hung up. "That’s the proof I have."
Felicia glared at the CCTV camera that wasn’t completely pointed towards the spot where she and the warden had just spoken, but it was so close that it must have caught their shadows. And worst of all, their discussion too. She needed to manipulate that CCTV camera.
Despite being on a hot edge, Felicia decided to play cool. She wouldn’t want to look scared and give Juliet the expression the latter wanted from her.
"And so what? If you aren’t blind, you will see that the CCTV camera is facing the other side. I’m sure it caught nothing," she said, intending to walk away and wait for her usual time to work on the camera but Juliet pulled her back.
"You know Felicia, I’ve always wanted you to make a slip up one day and today is the day you finally made that slip up. I can’t believe you wanted to involve Jake in your stupid plans and for what? Just so you can get your stupid revenge on Erika? What did that woman ever do to you?" Juliet questioned, her tone demanding.
She was well aware that Felicia was a nuisance, she never failed to prove that point. But she couldn’t believe she would try to get her very own son involved in her plans for revenge.
"Are you seriously asking me that question, Juliet? You act like you never once hated Erika and only God knows the reason behind this change of heart of yours. Let me guess, after your release, you will try to go back to Erika and ask for forgiveness and you people will be on good terms again while you secretly cause her trouble? We are not any different, Juliet. You are just as hungry as I am for revenge, just come true with it and we can work together and save this stress of arguing."
Juliet was stunned. She opened her mouth to speak but no words could fall out.
"What? Are you speechless because I was able to figure out your plans?" Felicia questioned with a sly smirk on her lips. "You can’t hide anything from me. So let’s join forces together. After you get released, I will get escape and together, we will make Erika’s life a livid he—"
Felicia didn’t get to complete her sentence when she felt something hard fall on her cheek. It was so painful she felt her cheeks go numb.
Felicia couldn’t help but stare her Juliet in utter shock.
"How dare you slap me?" Felicia questioned, ready to hit Juliet back in the face but unfortunately for her, Juliet was quick to hold her arm in the air.
"Let go of my hands," Felicia demanded as she tried to get her arm free from Juliet’s grip but the latter only tightened her grip.
"Just because we were both in cohort before just to make Erika’s life before, it doesn’t mean I will be in cohort with you ever again. I wasn’t thinking straight when I and my mother tried to make Erika’s life a living hell, but now that I’ve gotten back to my senses, do you think I will ever try to work with you again? Do you think I have the same pea-sized brain as that warden you easily brainwashed?"
Juliet dropped Felicia’s arm as she glared at her.
"You’d better change, Felicia, before it’s too late for you to do so.
Felicia scoffed. "I’m guessing you are Erika’s angel here, right? Well, let’s see how you are going to stop me," Felicia said and walked away.
Juliet could only stare at her back until she disappeared. Her release date was in two days and she couldn’t be any more glad that she was able to find out how Felicia was able to escape on that day.
She still couldn’t believe that the warden was helping her.

Sighing, she followed Felicia back into the cell room. Everyone was chatting as normal. Coincidentally, Juliet made eye contact with Madam Laura. It seemed the old woman’s eyes were already on her and she only felt the gaze.
She beckoned for Juliet to come and the latter walked towards her while gulping down her saliva.
"If you follow your target too much like that, she’s going to catch on," said Madam Laura before her eyes tore from Juliet to glance at Felicia, who’d resumed chatting with the inmates.
"She has already caught on," Juliet replied, following Madam Laura’s line of sight.
The old hag’s wrinkled eyes widened in shock. "She has? Did you already find out what she has been planning?" She questioned.
"No," Juliet lied. Just because the old hag was the one to tell her that Felicia was planning to escape, it didn’t mean that she would tell her Felicia’s plans to escape. She hasn’t forgotten the scar the woman had designed on her face. Her blood still boiled with anger.
"No?" Madam Laura questioned back. "What do you mean by no? Don’t tell me that you still haven’t found out her plans all these while you’ve been following her around?"
"Unfortunately, I haven’t," Juliet replied. She made sure she didn’t stutter to not make herself suspicious. "Felicia is a smart woman, we all know that. And she has been really careful. I do hope to find out what she’s been planning and stop her as soon as possible before my release in two days," she added.
’I’m going to catch her tonight, and this time, I will make sure she doesn’t escape.’ She told herself.
Madam Laura only stared at her for a few seconds before she sighed disappointedly.
"Whatever, get out of my sight. Your hideous face makes me sick," said madam Laura and Juliet was more than glad to leave.
